Went there today because reviews were so good... we were actually the first people there at 0730... the girl working there said we couldnt order food because the cook wasnt there yet. She overslept. She didnt know when shed be there. Which made me wonder why you would even put on the open sign and unlock the door if youre not ready for business. We looked over the menus hoping to at least get drinks while we waited.. but the girl seemed to be very busy tinkering with the lights. I wasnt sure whether we were supposed to walk over to the bar area and order or if she was going to come to us. She finally wandered over and took our order and got our drinks. My husband just wanted a water and she pointed to a stack of cups and about 10 carafes of water sitting on another counter and told him to help himself. Odd. At about 5 minutes until 0800 the cook came. Food was ready shortly after. The food was nothing amazing. It tasted like any other breakfast place... I did try the "fellini" which was their version of an Italian eggs Benedict. I think. But there was no return by the girl to see if we wanted refills or not on the coffee. The Cold Brew was good but one small cup for the hour and 15 minutes we we there was not enough. I did get an entire pitcher of creamer to sit on my table in hopes she was going to refill my drink. The only thing that made me rate the place a little higher than it deserves was that the waitress brought a gift card for $20 because she said we had waited so long. That was the best part of their customer service. I think they should make it clearer to customers if they are a self-serve place or not. And have more reliable staff...or at least two people on staff who know how to cook an egg.

Today I went to the Urban Steam for the first time for a friends birthday brunch. My first impression was that the place was really cool! I loved the set up.... seemed really artsy and laid back....had interesting items on the menu to choose from. I ordered something called "Zorbas Revenge" and a mimosa (which by the way cost me $17 which was a hard pill to swallow but I did order alcohol so I got over it). I waited for a while for my food but I was with a larger group of people so again, I got over it. Then this guy came out to our table asking who ordered "the Greek omelet" in which no one responded. Finally, the guy I originally ordered from pointed the other "greek omelet" guy in my direction and told me that that was what I ordered. I then replied "oh I thought I ordered "Zorbas Revenge" in which he replied very sarcastically "yeah the Greek omelet.... Greek.... Zorba... did you really not make the connection. You guys are really making this easy." Come to find that this was possibly the owner? Should I have made the connection between the words Zorba and Greek?.... perhaps but I was one mimosa in at 10:30 in the morning. I really dont like being made to feel stupid over brunch... especially after I spent decent money supporting your business. By the way... the Greek Omelet/Zorbas Revenge was not great. Wont be coming back.

I went to this place a year ago and the service was so bad, and the coffee so terrible, that my husband and I decided to never come back again. Today, however, I decided to give it a second chance: I absolutely regret it! It was lunch time, and I ordered a hamburger to take out, the cashier told me that it would be "5 or 7 minutes", and I agreed. 15 minutes passed and nothing. A guy approached and told me that his restaurant was not a fast food, and that I should have gone to another place, he was incredibly unpleasant and rude. I told him that I was told that it would be "5 or 7 minutes", he told me that it was "a miscommunication" and he didn´t apologize. I supposed that he was the owner, I asked, and he confirmed it. WOW. Then, I returned to the table where I was waiting (I was not seated, I was standing by the table), and the owner passed by next to me and he pushed me a little (close to my butt), I froze without knowing what to think or do. After 3 more minutes, I received the hamburger. There is no need to say that I will never come back to that pretentious place with a owner acting like a bully and a horrible customer service. And, by the way, the hamburger was so small that it should be called "mini hamburger".

So this little hideaway has been a favorite of my wifes for coffee. I decided to meet up with some friends after work for drinks and food. There was 12 of us and we were told to be patient due to staffing issues. The drinks were delivered sporadically at best. We were never offered water refills, and they never came back to see if we wanted another drink. We ordered our food and it took over an hr to get a burger? The food finally arrived after some slight complaining. Orders were wrong spefically asked for no onions and sliders arrived with onions did not want to complain because we did not have another hr to wait for them to get it right. The food was ok somewhat cold but nothing to write home about. We should have been compensated for the drinks at least? We were there for over 2 hrs and only had one cocktail. How does that even happen? By far one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a dining establishment. Not sure how they stay in business. Dont go here unless you have 2-3 hrs to burn and you are not very hungry or thirsty! Over priced, terrible service, ok food, good drinks, good background music!

This place is an exceptional find and now that Ive had it, Im going to have a hard time drinking any other coffee. This pour over coffee thats been small batch roasted using Swiss water makes for an exceptional cup with a very dynamic flavor (and a cool process from roasting to the cup!). Ive never liked decaf, but tried a cup there since it was later in the afternoon and even that was amazing and didnt taste bitter or leave a bad aftertaste. I was easily converted after the first sip. AND, lets not forget the food. So far Ive only tested a panini and the green chili, but both were exceptional, filling and a great accompaniment to my delicious coffee. I will definitely come back here every time Im back in town to stock up on beans and get an amazing cup (or 20) of coffee and still wont spend as much as if Id gone to Starbucks to get a small, bad coffee and old sandwich. This is a MUST if you like coffee.

My husband and I decided to try this place out for the first time today. Going in it looked super cool and the decor was really chill. I saw that they had Ginger Beet Lemonade on them menu which sounded really unique so I asked about it. The guy taking my order was super sarcastic and made me feel pretty stupid when I asked what it tasted like. He said the name was self explanatory, however, when trying it I was not a fan. It could be the way it was supposed to taste and just not something I was a fan of. However, I think he could have described it better. It was definitely unlike any lemonade Ive ever tasted. I dont regret trying it, but not something I would order again. My husband ordered a mocha which was good. I just wish the man taking my order would have had better customer service.
