This place is going to help push Colorado Springs into a much better coffee market. Right now, rarely does one stumble across high-quality coffee bars in the Springs, but Loyal does the job like anything in Denver or Seattle. The building itself is beautifully designed, with comfy and fun seating to accommodate a large number of people. The whole interior is largely two-tone white and brown with gold accents, including all the coffee equipment. The baristas here are all top-notch coffee geeks and partial owners (currently, anyway). The coffee they roast seems high quality so far, and the preparation leaves nothing to be desired. They have automatic pour-over machines, an automatic Marzocco (custom Strada?) that looks like a Slayer, and they batch brew using the latest technology. This time-saving method has allowed me to chat with my baristas each time I have come in. They also serve toast+, cocktails on tap (I havent tried them, so I wont knock it), wine on tap, fernet, and cold brew (Toddy). It feels very service-industry oriented, while maintaining high speed in service. Update: I have had a few alcoholic drinks here. They are quite good, albeit I paid the most money anyone has ever been charged for a glass of Fernet Jelinek (>65% of bottle price) -- this was some time ago and they may have revisited it since. As for seating, I noticed a number of complaints about a lack of tables. Its not necessarily apparent, but the row of tables near each other actually make up a community table. Anyone is welcome to sit down even if another person is already at the table (Within reason, of course). After writing this update, I realize I want to go in and get food and coffee. Im off. Update 2: just had the curry polenta bowl. Its ridiculously good, as was the geisha coffee.

The food here is awesome, though I would save yourself the $5 and drive if youre coming just for their toast. The coffee was delicious and the staff was beyond friendly. The thing I really did not like about this place is there is no where to sit. They need more tables and seats. Especially when a single person comes here to study and takes up a 4 person table for an hour. I understand the feel and theme they are going for with this restaurant, urban meets nature but Im eating my food on my lap right now. The place where youre expected to sit is dirty with coffee stains, probably not coming back here.

One of the leaders in coffee for the Springs. Ive been here a few times and Im never dissatisfied. My most recent visit I had the cold brew and tonic which was the best cold brew Ive ever had; it was very flavorful but not overpowering like the others Ive had. Full disclosure: I hear you either love it or hate it...so dont be disappointed if you dont like it. My favorite part about this shop is the thoughtful design--who ever designed this place has a talented mind. The wood and brass combination is spot on. I definitely feel inspired to be creative and get stuff done etc.

If you are a coffee enthusiast, this joint is a must. The "Brew and Tonic" made with Loyals own house blend of coffee and house made rose and hibiscus tonic is delightful treat, though unfamiliar to my palate. The unique flavor wasnt overly bold, and I recommend it highly. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a modernized, even hipsterized, cubana feel. This place was very well thought through in its conception, and anyone who visits wont be disappointed.

Concept is cute, modern and clean decor... latte with heart design on foam, I presume for being LOYAL. The latte was good. Parking signage is confusing due to dense condos surrounding the area; try to find the back through the alley. Not my type of cafe... their bread display looked great, yet it turned out to be fake (building was once a bakery). The greater vicinity is a nonsmoking zone. Great spot for yuppies to meet.

Im so glad we stopped by here on our way through the Springs! The espresso was great and we even tried a sample of the cold brew + hibiscus rose tonic, which was really refreshing and slightly floral! The BLT toast and PB banana were both really good too; the toast was perfectly soft and crispy. I also loved the decor which was mostly black and white with gold accents. Cool vibes for sure!

Loyal Coffee is a breath of fresh air in downtown Colorado Springs. Owned by a group of the friendliest baristas youll probably ever meet, there delicious snacks and fresh coffee always ready. Guest service here is excellent and no one makes you feel horrible for taking up seat space for a few hours in order to read or finish that paper! Highly recommend and very much a loyal customer.

Beautiful shop but a bit pretentious for me. Expensive coffee. I planned to sit and stay, to get some computer work done. I asked about the items to eat, the guy (Owner, Eric, I believe) was sarcastic and rude. I changed my order to-go and went to a tried-and-true coffee shop elsewhere. Never went back. I have been here three times and never feel good about my experience.

Dont go if you are planning a private conversation for two, very few tables for 2, nowhere to sit! Use of space seems odd. Only four top tables and benches around the side. Also, theyre reaching on price. $11 for a small mug latte and croissant. Nice modern atmosphere though but I prefer other more inimate cozy coffee shop, and nice big generous cups of coffee you can hug.

Trendy busy spot w limited chair seating in center area. Must wait on perimeter concrete ledge for customer to leave then quickly grab a chair@table. Wi-Fi Fi good. Many healthy menu options. Quick service. Hot chocolate a disappointment as not that special as in a review despite use of top quality chocolate. Too watered down w milk to savor chocolate.

Superb coffee beans, but overpriced. You can mail order better coffee from Olympia, WA at a lower cost. Also, hideous environment. Its like they took someones concept for an Apple Store, and then staffed it full of hipsters who couldnt make it in real cities. Legit coffee if thats your goal, but best to avoid unless youre one of the Beautiful People.

My new favorite local coffee shop. Very convenient location right on Nevada downtown. Much quieter than going to Starbucks to sit down for a meeting over coffee. Great options for snacks and pastries in addition to good coffee. Cool atmosphere and decor with a friendly staff and a great owner that work to make guests feel welcome.

Brand new shop with delicious house-roasted craft coffee, delicious toast options, a friendly staff, and the most beautiful coffee shop space in Colorado (bar none). The fact that this shop opened in Colorado Springs blows my mind—it would even stand out as excellent in NYC. Highly recommended!

Easily the best coffee in Colorado Springs. The atmosphere is clean and comfortably accommodates for all coffee shop related activities (i.e. meeting, working, etc.) with a modern aesthetic. Would definitely recommend and will make a point to make this a casual meeting place in the future.

Easiest 5-Stars Ive ever given. Visiting over a weekend from KCMO, my buddies and I returned to Loyal 3 times. I cant remember the last time a café was repeatedly surprising; because the espresso was THAT GOOD each time we visited. Great Baristas-excellent coffee. Loyal did not disappoint.

The coffee is great and it is a really neat atmosphere. Great for meeting someone for a quick cup of coffee and to chat. Not great for studying - most of the seating is fairly uncomfortable (backless benches, concrete bench). Also not a ton of food, but the apple ricotta toast was awesome!
