Tapateria was delicious and a great experience overall!! We went when they were having a special for restaurant week, so we got five tapas and a dessert for $30, which was nice! The server was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, checked in on us but didnt smother. The atmosphere is VERY cozy, you are very close to the people next to you. Seems like the best seats are in the windows, but everyone in the restaurant was very quiet so we didnt feel like we were too close to anyone (even the people next to us). We had a roasted garlic bulb with toast, a goat cheese salad, chorizo and figs, escargot, and tuna-stuffed peppers. The roasted garlic was a favorite, you could spread it on toast and my husband loved it so much that when the toast ran out he just squeezed out the extra cloves and ate them. I think the chorizo and figs was my favorite, the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The escargot was delicious. The tuna-stuffed peppers were great, but not revolutionary. The goat cheese salad was fresh, but once again nothing too special. It was nice to have something fresh with all of the other rich dishes we had. For dessert we had vanilla-cinnamon gelato. It was all delicious and we cant wait to go back. All that food, plus I had a glass of wine and my husband had a soda, and it only came to $40! The only buzzkill was that we were right by the bathroom, and the door kept getting left open when people would walk out. The bathroom was extremely clean, but it is kind of weird to see a toilet while youre eating. But really, it was not a big deal, and we will definitely be back!

We went there for the beginning part of a bachelorette party. The service was ridiculously slow, portions were very small (smaller than a kids meal), no one was served at the same time and there was nine of us. Me and two other girls shared a fork because they gave our table two sets of silverware and we asked them several times for more. I ordered three things and it took almost three hours to get them all but none at the same time. One of the items was nuts which was only about two tablespoons at best and they were slightly soggy. I spent over $20 just myself with only having water, to be starving and had to stop somewhere to eat. I would understand if it was an upclass restaurant for the portions they served us but it was far from that. They brought some of the other guests the wrong food and it took well over two hours for everyone to have at least something they ordered. When we wanted to leave, it took forty five minutes to get the bill. We basically waited and waited and waited for good service and never got it. So much for being excited to go there. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Dont waste you time and money like I did for bad service and super small portions.

We ordered only a total of four plates from the menu, but we were at the restaurant for over an hour and a half. I was meeting a friend a few hours away halfway in Colorado Springs and expecting a fairly quick meal, since we would basically be eating a few appetizers. It took about 30 minutes to get our cheese plate, then we waited and waited for the rest of our food (three small plates) that we had ordered shortly afterward. After asking what was taking so long, the waiter assured us that they were hurrying and it wouldnt be much longer. He said that they "had a lot of tickets" that night, but it was a Monday around 7pm and there were many empty tables. We saw other guests, especially one table of about 8 women celebrating a friends birthday, get multiple plates of food, even though they had ordered after us. After finally getting our food, the waiter told us our meal would be on the house, realizing that we waited about an hour and a half for mushrooms, cheese, tuna stuffed peppers, and some mini beef tacos. We quickly ate, since we were very hungry at this point, left a nice tip for the waiter (since he seemed to be running the entire restaurant alone), and left.

I love this place! It has a great old world vibe with excellent music creating a great atmosphere. The tapas are great. I always order the spicy shredded beef tapas. I order one extra since my husband always wants one and there is only 3. Paired with the Estrella Damm it is a real winner. They offer great Valentines dinners. Several courses paired with either cocktails or wine. An amazing value. The owner, chef and wait staff have a real passion for the craft. The meat and cheese platter is the bomb! And I love how you can then order authentic chorizo from Spain from their small deli counter. A real pleasure every time. Great for popping in for lunch or a romantic date night. Oh, almost forgot. There is extra parking around back and you enter through the back patio. Where they hold paella lunch and dinners spring-fall. The back patio is great for beautiful Colorado days and evenings and they a pet friendly.

Service slow, appetizers expensive for what your getting. Wine seemed expensive also. Waiter did apologize. I have no idea why service was slow. Disliked that they bring out the appetizers one by one. Took way to long for lunch 90 minutes to long. Appetizers very small. You have to order a lot, to get lunch here. Waiter tried to offer us free desert which I thought was a nice gesture but unfortunately we had been there so long already, that we were short on time. Ambiance was lovely. Appetizers did taste good but more like samples. Not worth the price I think. Portions to small for me and Im a size 5.

My bestie and I had a GREAT experience. We went on a week day, so it was not very busy. We had a great server (I wish I could remember his name). He explained everything to us and gave some suggestions. We ended up ordering 6 different Tapas. My friend liked some items more than I did and vise versa. All the plates were empty by the time we left. I loved that I was a satisfied full. We did not leave miserable because the food was too heavy. I suggest this place to everyone!! I will definitely be back in the near future.

Stumbled upon it last night as we were there enjoying Small Business Saturday and fancied a drink on the way back to the car! We loved it. We both had alcohol and a nice array of small appetizers. People complaining the portions are small, please research the meaning of the Spanish word "tapas"! Its perfect for a light meal. Everything tastes fresh and the Gazpacho shooter was wonderful! We sat at the bar and one of the chefs shared a divine slice of creamy blue cheese with us for free! Will definitely return!

Closed on a Friday night at 6pm for a private event. No sign on the door, when I called the phone number (as i stood at the front door looking in) the first call they just picked it up then hung up on me, the 2nd attempt to call they were surly and less than accommodating, we knocked on the locked door and the employees just looked at us, then looked away and ignored us. In all fairness we did not get to try the food, or even get in the door. so we are committed to try it again in the near future.
