The staff did not seem to pay any attention that I had entered the restaurant even though I had to pass two employees to get to my seat. Everything else seemed to be going well until the end of my meal. I was finishing my cup of lemonade and I noticed a dark greenish black thing underneath the ice. I figured that I was seeing something through the glass on the table but I was mistaken. It was a giant fly. I immediately went to the register to tell the cashier. She pointed at the sign and said do I have a ticket. I said that my issue is the fly in my lemonade. She then said did I tell my waitress. I said no because I have not seen her yet. I was getting my cell phone camera ready and the cashier hurried and removed the cup from my table. I told her that I need to take a photo of the fly in my drink. She ignored my desire and walked away. The waitress arrived a few moments later and said that she would remove the drink from my bill. I would have preferred some antibiotics from the potential infection that I can get from that infested lemonade. Meanwhile there was a guy on a ladder behind the counter cleaning the dirty air ducts above the work station that had food there. I dont recommend this place unless you desire unsanitary conditions. Who knows what goes on in the kitchen.

So good the first time, we went back the next day! Stopped in for a quick late night bite. 30 prior to closing which is a bad time to walk in a restaurant. But the staff was Uber friendly and assured us everything was still up and running. So we order the meatloaf sandwich. I had some reservations. I find meatloaf loaf a dicey dish at some restaurants. More a stock rotation than a great meal. However, the meatloaf was done in a burger patty style and tasted great. The German potato salad was amazing. It was so good we went back for breakfast. I hate breakfast because no one does it right except for one restaurant in the South and now I add East Coast deli as a place I want the breakfast menu instead of the lunch menu at breakfast time. We had their hash and eggs. Being from the South I grew up on canned corned beef hash. It is one of those foods that normally I would find disgusting but I was raised on it. However, after having the hash at East Coast Deli, now I love the stuff in spite of the fact it is a childhood comfort food. They make there hash in house with fresh corned beef and pastrami and it was crispy without being greasy. The eggs were prepared exactly as ordered and were delicious. Definitely a place that has makes loyal customers

6-7-17 went there with my wife and kids about an hour before closing. Waitress was super nice, just didnt check up on us. she didnt ask how are meal was or how we were doing. had to go in multiple times to ask for various things, example: refill on drinks, to go box, tab, to apply the coupon to our tab.. when I went in to find our waitress she was chatting with 2 gentlemen at the bar, not really paying attention to me or the front counter. Really detached from her customers. Ordered the Philly, as we heard it was the best in town. Far from it. The Philly was more of a deli sliced roast beef sandwich with no flavor. Waffle fries were really good though. We ordered a piece of the 10in chocolate cake to split amongst ourselves. It was very big, however, the cake was super dry. $46.00 check for two phillys and 2 single French toast plates for my kids. I would say it was a little pricy considering the quality of the food. All in all, we will probably never return here.

6/3/17 I ordered a pastrami Swiss cheese and egg on the everything bagel. I asked for a toasted bagel and got a bagel that was burned black around the edges. I asked for the egg to be cooked over-easy with the yoke runny. The egg white was brown and plastic looking on the bottom and around the edges. The yoke was overcooked and not runny as asked. The pastrami was dry and heated too long. The Swiss cheese was heated too long as it was turned to liquid. Again, I get a breakfast sandwich that is made by an incompetent cook.

Overpriced Truck stop quality food. Went here with my s/o for breakfast and we were absolutely disappointed. We ordered the eggs benedict, nasty and frenchtoast sandwich, also nasty, bland and greasy. Service is decent but other than that, never comin back. They are taking advantage of Over Easy restaurant next to them thats a 5star, therefore constantly booked, in order to trap their customers. Their food shows how they could care less about quality. Do NOT go here unless you want to get ripped off with terrible food.

I went there cause i just wanted a sandwich and it looked quiet. when i sat down i ended up ordering steak, which was the best steak i had ever ate that i didnt make myself. This was surprising because it looks like any other deli around town. The staff was really friendly and chipper and service was prompt. oh and there is a huge sign out front that says free beer from 5-9pm so as long as your eating you drink for free. i will definatly revisit the next time im in town.

The food us always good and prices are pretty decent. We fequent this place often but every time the service is horrible. It doesnt matter if the place is busy or if it is slow. We have never had the same waitress twice and its either they are under trained or just down right rude. I highly suggest better training especially on the customer service end. I would say I would switch to take out but this experincest have been bad too.

The food is usually very good as it was today but the prices are really high and it reflects in the business they are getting, its breakfast hours right now and only four tables are occupied, Im thinking if they lowered the prices just a little or bring back the coupons they use to have, buy one entree and get the second either free or half price would bring more people in and Im sure the waitress would appreciate it as well.

I do like this place. The food is good, especially the sandwiches. The breakfast is pretty good too, but not always consistent. I think if they limited their menu more and focused on making the stuff they specialize in REALLY good then it would be best. The prices are a little high for some of the sandwiches, but breakfast is reasonable. I think its great since its not a chain, and not many other places like it anymore.

The food is great! But sadly, there service was terrible. It was frustrating. Didnt get asked for a refill and my wife needed a box for her left overs. The service was slow and the servers didnt really care about her customers. Not to mention that this place was really filthy and I mean filthy. Not coming back and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!

My friend and I walked in and sat ourselves at a clean table. We were given menus but no one took our order or even asked if we wanted anything to drink for about 10-20 minutes. We decided to leave and go to another restaurant. I forgot my keys and went back to get them. They still said nothing and didnt even address the issue.
