A cut above the average buffet. Where most buffets concentrate on inexpensive items (lots of chicken variations, instant potatoes, plenty of veggies, etc.) to maximize profits, Golden Corral goes for a high volume of customers drawn to a huge variety of selections with upscale goodies in the mix. The salad bar offers shrimp along with lots of fresh veggies. Cooked to order steak is available along with seasonal specials like BBQ brisket & ribs, seafood specials, make-it-your-way pasta, and more. Their slow-cooked pot roast is excellent; tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Mashed potatoes are always from "real" potatoes. Weekend offers breakfast buffet until 11am with a cooked-to-order omelet bar. The wait staff can be overwhelmed at times, and slow to refresh drinks or bus tables. It can get quite busy and crowded during peak hours.

They closed the wrong Golden Corral!! I enjoyed the Woodmen location very much good food courteous service and helpful staff. THIS LOCATION on Waynoke Rd is NOT worth the trip. If you are white and want to experience some true racism this is your place! The serving staff were overtly and preferentially rude! I was told certain food items were coming out and politely asked if I could be notified when it was ready and much to my surprise the serving staff brought item I expressed interest in to patrons at the tables around me but none for this cracker! Upon request I was then greeted with a rude brush off. The food compared to the now closed location also paled in comparison fatty, unappealing and some items were even cold. Id consider the Ultimate Buffet or even the Country Buffet before ever going here.

I am so impressed on how this restaurant evolved... When I first went here before I do not like it. Because the selection of food is boring...and sometimes cold and messy. But now they have a lot of food selection and specials every month. Looove it...especially the meats.... One more thing...the tall african-american guy by the grill, he needs to be more friendly and smile... my kids are scared to ask for a steak coz he is always looks mad. The other skinny caucausian guy with mustache by the grill too(sometimes he is there , sometimes not)... he is the perfect example of great customer service.. he greets and smile at people... he is full of energy... you guys should hire more like him... coz a simple smile from your crew...means a lot to us, your customers.

Went there this evening, girls at the front counter handed me our cups because she couldnt switch over the soda, took 30 minutes for the waitress to come over and acknowledge us, salad bar trashed, salad dressing was spoiled, food looked old and you could they it had not rotated it out, baked potatoes on the floor, uncooked steak meat left out, not much of a variety and the food did not look good...paid $43 for 3 bites of salad and 2 bites of a steak..the place was filthy, the help was busy taking care of personal business on the floor and needless to say, I am done with this place and wont ever be eating here again..I could have made my own food at my house for less and it would have been better than the slop that is being served tonight,

My family and I dont eat out often and now we know why. The salad bar was not fresh and the avocado for the guacamole could have killed someone. Its like it was in the freezer, defrosted, and moldy. The steak that I ordered was was chewy, the person carving the prime rib didnt know how and almost lost it on the floor. Everything tasted like water. When telling our waiter (who didnt check on us once) asked if we wanted a manager. We said yes and never got the chance to speak with her because she went to the wrong table. We tried to flag her down but she politely ignored us. What a waste of $40. Will not go there again. :(

I really like eating here because theres a few good items that I can eat even though the food is pretty bad. Most items are VERY poorly cooked. Soggy pasta noodles, overly dry meat, soups that settle, taco meat and other dishes with pools of water and grease that you have to drain out of the serving spoon, etc. Some Golden Corral restaraunts are so good. This isnt one. I eat at this one often for the few good items like the pot roast, steak and yeast rolls. The other food disgusts me though. It has so much potential of they would just take some care to cook the food the right way.

You would have to work really hard to make the food at Golden Corral any worse. Mission accomplished. Good work, guys. We used to go to the other location sometimes and if you timed it just right on the weekend, you could get breakfast and their full lunch/dinner buffet for a breakfast price. Now, the lunch/dinner stuff they put out was a really reduced menu and all the breakfast stuff was old. I dont think they put out anything fresh for breakfast the whole time I was there. Its possible its better after 4pm, but Im not going to pay to find out.

Why the Health Department hasnt shut this place down is a mystery to me. The last time I was there I witnessed a grown man pick up and put down all the rolls with his bare hand until he found the one he wanted. A group of immigrant children were sticking their hands into the chocolate wonderfall, licking them clean, and repeating. An employee looked right at them and turned away as if he didnt notice without saying a word. I will never go here again and pray nobody gets seriously ill from this place.

EXCELLENT experience. Cannot stress enough how fantastic this Golden Corral is. I usually dont like buffets, mainly because all of the food is just mediocre & the service is poor, but this is an exception! All of the food was hot & tasty & the service was fantastic. Always made sure we had our drinks full & our plates were taken away quickly. We had a large group of students-- we were on our way back to Illinois after a summer camp-- & they were amazingly patient with all of us. Thank you so much!

Had one of THE best steaks in town there on Friday night. Better than the one I got on Sunday from Cracker Barrel! Grilled to perfection by Michael, who is awesome, and can cook me steak anytime! And let me say that every time we are in there and ANDREW is working, he is one of THE hardest workers this Golden Corral employs. John the manager was very nice as well! The rest of the staff is courteous and helpful, but last Friday night these two shining stars shone the brightest! Well done!

Normally my experience is pretty good, but I cant say it has ever been 5-star fantastic. After this Sunday visit though, GC was so busy that I left disappointed. My girl and I essentially paid $15 a piece for a soup and salad bar because the cooks couldnt keep up. I literally had soup, salad, macaroni and cheese, and fried okra. The real disappointing part was that it was the premium buffet price and I didnt even get any protein whatsoever. I say go, but be careful of the times you go.
