Wow I have never waited so long to get food in a place like this. They have one person rolling out tortillas and one standing there to flip them but making the food ordered is two people who cant seem to keep track of anything going on. When I got here the restaurant was pretty full I was worried about getting a table but it took an hour for them to make food for at the most ten people in line ahead of me. I ordered nachos and tortillas and salad the nachos have a stack of cheese in the center with hardly any meat on it. I guess you have to order a burrito to get any meet. I had to wait after I paid for another five minutes to get the tortillas that were maid sitting on the counter just had to be handed to the cashier to hand them to me. On the salad asked for pinto beans but got black instead. Very unorganized with people standing around not helping get food made for customers. I have eaten at the one in golden and it was good and fast. I dont know if I will ever come back again. $10 for nachos with a little cheese in the center and barely any meat. Ridiculous. Very slow.

I would agree with recent posts that this location has gone downhill recently. The wait was ridiculous - at least half an hour to place an order, and then it wasnt worth eating. My husband ordered cheese enchiladas; the cheese inside was cold, not melted, along with cold (not warm at all) beans. I had them remake the order, and while the young man who took care of it was very apologetic and polite, when the remade order came out, the cheese was again cold inside, not melted at all, and the beans were just barely warm. My husband asked about the manager, and was told he was in the back - he should have been out front helping get orders out, making sure customers were satisfied, and wiping down tables. All the tables were dirty, no one was out cleaning up anything. I dont think we will be returning unless management changes.

The Cafe Rio is and possibly is still great, however, it will probably go down hill now that they have the manager from the Littleton Cafe Rio working in Castle Rock. That manager is rude and the littleton cafe rio is disgusting and has gone down hill once that guy managed it. And now I see hes in Castle Rock. Wonderful, there goes our wonderful clean cafe rio to becoming dirty, nasty and finding WASPS in your food. When I showed that manager that there was a HUGE WASP in my food, he threw it on the ground and said, "THATS NOT A WASP! Its gristle." I picked it back up and showed the cashier and she agreed with me. You could see its HEAD and legs. I found it in my taco!! That guy was rude and tried to deny it and was the WORST manager Id ever dealt with. Who in the world hired him for the Castle Rock Cafe Rio?!?!

Slowest service I have ever experienced! The workers spend more time chatting with each other than moving people through the ordering process. I have been to this location 3 times and only once did I receive my food in a timely manner, but it was at 3:00pm when I was the only one in line. I have immediately turned around and left if I see the line is longer than 6 people, because you will be in line for over 40 minutes before you are able to order and that is not an exaggeration. Yesterday I beat the dinner rush and watched as customer after customer did what I have done in the past; turned around and left knowing they would be in line for over an hour. Until they fix this problem I will only go to Cafe Rio when I know there is not a line. Food is decent enough to come, but only when there is no line.

I came to this location on a Saturday becuase of the cocoanut shrimp tacos , I tried the tacos about 4 years ago in grand junction loved them ! Then today at this store it was an epic flop, it took them 14 minutes to make my cocoanut shrimp tacos 6 people skipped me.in line because the shrimp taco maker was on her break in the back , I then asked the general manager to start my tacos she made them but they had no coconut in the batter for the tacos and I wanted the mango salsa on them and they were out its 11 am why wasnt there more prep done ! Also she didnt want to prep anymore . Thats one way to erase the great time I had at the grand junction location . Absolutely horrible experience ! No one should eat here with management like that !

We went regularly to the castle rock cafe Rio back when it first opened last fall and it was great! We went again last week for the first time in several months and it was AWFUL! The person dishing the meat kept piling up the dishes for the person loading the veggies, but that poor worker was so behind with maybe 20 orders on the line with no help. We waited for at least 10 min to finish our order, all the while our food sat getting cold on the line. Then there wasnt a clean table to be found and they were all out of napkins so they were using the paper towel roll from the bathroom. Disgusting! My tortilla shell for my salad was nearly raw. We wont be going to this location again. Dont waste your time, frustration, or money.

The Castle Rock location is poorly managed. We ordered on line and were told that the order would be ready by 7:30 PM for pick-up. My husband arrived at CR location before the designated time, he went to the counter and was told they were working on the order. He waited 40 minutes longer. Meanwhile he watched numerous patrons in line come and go . When he complained to the supervisor he just said sorry in a very impolite manner. Once we got our order every single piece of our order was wrong. I went online to their feedback site and it would not even work. This is the last time we will eat here.

Ive been a fan of cafe rio for years. Craved it when I didnt live near one. Ive even driven 5+ hours to get to one when I lived across the country. Its disappointing that this restaurant holds the Cafe Rio name because this is not good Cafe Rio. The normally delicious lemonades are always watered down. At our last visit the queso and the burrito we ordered were completely unappetizing. Its just really, really disappointing. Save yourself some trouble and go to the University Blvd location. I hope the manager reads these reviews and steps it up.

I have been at this location 3 times and it has been truly the slowest service with even no one in the store. Customer service doesnt exist either. Poorly managed and the workers on the line have no sense of urgency. As well, the quality of food was very poor this last time around. Over-salted, too spicy, and the Horchata needed more Horchata flavor. It was watered down and the Lemonade was overwhelmed with lemon. Someone doesnt know how to mix a drink properly for general use. This is the last time I will visit Cafe Rio in Castle Rock.
