Perhaps we hit this place on an off day: we had a long wait for a table, we received unsmiling service from a rushed server, and after another long wait we discovered that our order had been lost. We turned up hungry after a backpacking trip, and after failing to get a simple hot dog at the Coney Island hot dog stand 2 minutes down the road (we waited 15 minutes in a line that didn’t move). We had to wait 10 minutes for a table here, even though there were many tables available – they just hadn’t been cleared of food and trash. I wanted to move on, but my famished 9-year old was too hungry to wait until we were home. Finally, we were ushered to a table, and after a longer than average wait for a server who was obviously rushed, we placed our simple order, burgers, chicken tenders, and fries. And then we waited… and waited. After 30 minutes I was assured by a different passing server that our food was coming, but after nearly an hour I looked on in disbelief as the neighboring table received their order (well, half of it) even though they’d ordered many minutes after us. I tracked down our server, she told us our food was coming, I pressed her to find out when exactly, and five minutes later she finally returned to our table and told us the order had been lost. Would we like to place it again? I looked over at our neighbors, still waiting for the rest of their food. With my son’s blood sugar low and nearly in tears from hunger, it made more sense to cut our losses and leave. Clearly, actually getting a hold of food in Bailey isn’t as easy as one might imagine…

This restaurant is a mountain town eatery that coincides with its environment, the Colorado “old west town”. this mountain jewel is located in the town of Bailey Colorado, a short distance from Denver; it was a beautiful Sunday trip from Denver through the majestic Colorado Mountains. The restaurant has fast friendly service and the food is awesome. The Philly Steak was delicious and elk stew was just as good. The restaurant is clean, the tables are clean the silverware was clean. The workers appear to be genuinely nice & accommodating, the service was great. Sitting out on the outdoor balcony was a wonderful bonus with the Mountain View and fresh air. After lunch, we walked the immediate area to explore the history of Bailey and Colorado. I recommend people visiting or living in Denver make the special short drive to Bailey, CO for an unforgettable mountain drive and a pleasant mountain dining experience at the Rustic Station Restaurant. Yes, I strongly recommend this pleasant eatery unless you are the big city elite “pass the grey poupon” type!

A local Bailey business. Wonderful atmosphere and decor. Chips and salsa were good. Lots of chips. Tiny bowl of salsa. Ran out of salsa. Ate chips plain. Good beer selection. Hip to beer they are. Mild hot wings were so so. Nothing spectacular about them. Standard wings. Service was spotty. Was sitting at the bar and the bartender was easily distracted with other things so some slight waiting was involved and it wasnt terribly busy on a Saturday night. I had a coupon for a dollar off an appetizer but they forgot to apply it and I didnt balk because it was only a dollar. I support local businesses. With limited choices in a small town I recommend this business. Their menu had a good selection. The people were friendly. Didnt see much diversity in the patronage but oh well. Try it. Youll be glad you did.

Wow the food is great the atmosphere is awesome. Staff is pleasant , informative and very friendl. Its located off 285 in Bailey . when going South on 285 it is on the left side of the highway. Theres plenty of free parking. The view is awesome inside and outside. They serve hamburger steak and so much more. I love their primerib , salads, onion rings ,fries and hamburgers. I have never ate anything there I dont like. They serve wine, beer and mixed drinks also soda tea and much more You can order food to go but I never do I enjoy being there .

I come into the town of Bailey a lot with family and friends I do not go this restaurant . The hostess is nice but the bartenders and servers ignore their customers and do not make us feel welcomed . I Sat at a table after the hostess seated us we waited for twenty mins to get no water and no service whatsoever ! so we decided to sit at the bar where the bartender ignored us and walked away, I was so insulted I just couldnt eat there . Im sorry I will not be referring this restaurant to anyone in the future.

Last Friday I didnt get the greatest food and the owner contacted me... So I went back this week and the food was much better... I will always recommend The Rustic Station. The servers are awesome and the general manager came and apologized for my experience last week and I was comped a meal...... and this time my food only took 15 minutes to be served... Thank You _Rustic Station, I will be back!! :)

Hands down the best place in Bailey. Ive traveled to 41 countries, eaten in some of the best places on the planet (I travel for work and am often taken to dinner by gracious clients). Yet its this place that I always look forward coming to. The food is great, the staff makes me laugh, and I genuinely get a sense of community. I cant think of a better managed restaurant. Well done.

Incredible! The last review must have just had a bad night. We came in 30 min. to closing, 3 kids in tow. I had elk stew, husband had the best philly cheesesteak in his life! They also had Breck bourbon! Food was hot. Kids mac-n-cheese was great, and fresh, NOT out of a package. Service was spot on, christie was so good to us. Thanks you guys!

It wasnt too busy, Staff was knowledgeable. We followed their recommendations and we were not disappointed. We were advised the fries are great and yes they were. My wife had the Fish and chips (well fries). I had the Burrito and it was huge and good. Price was a little high, but you get enough food for what they charge.

The food is ok. Not a bad place to stop after along hike. The cold refreshing beer and classic cheese burger hit the spot. However, service was incredibly slow even though the place was empty. Waited for our food for 1 1/2 hr. Dont go there if you are in a hurry or dont have 3 hours ahead of you to sit there and wait.

A real gem! Eclectic menu, quality dishes, value priced on big servings. While travelling, we happened upon during Happy Hour (4p-7p). Four different appetizers, half-priced, freshly prepared & delicious! The gourmet mac & chz (Ha!) was amazing. Place was busy Frid nite, but service was friendly & fast.

Service tends to be lackluster or even surly. They are often out of menu items. Food is often overcooked or even a bit spoiled. So disappointing because its a pretty, cozy little place. We live in the area and really want to like it, but it has disappointed us every time.
