6/17/13 COFFEE COOKIE DOUGH After a Fathers Day lunch with my husbands family we came here for dessert. The junior scoop for $3 sounded perfect - I was already so full! Dont let the word "junior" fool you! This is not a small scoop. My husband decided not to order his own after seeing it. It was actually more than we could eat and I ended up throwing some away; which totally broke my heart because it was so good! I ordered the coffee cookie dough after asking for a sample of it. I felt bad asking for a sample because of the long line behind me, but it was my first time here. The cashier didnt seem to mind. It was a little crowded in the ordering area - not enough counter access for the patrons. Perhaps it was just so noisy and crowded because of the holiday. If its always that packed in there (inside the restaurant and at the ice cream counter), theyre killing it! Look forward to coming back and trying a sandwich!

This is one of the best restaurants in Walnut Creek! The wait isnt very long, although be patient because it can get busy. It has one of the friendliest environments ever! The food is great and the ice cream is even better! There are so many options its overwhelming! Everything is fresh and the waiters and waitresses are extremely friendly. This is by far one of the best restaurants in the Bay Area. It is a tad expensive, but so worth it! It is a fabulous place to hang out with friends and family, and the Kitchen Sink sundae, Triple Decandence Sundae, and the Caramel Sundae are my favorites. I always get the club sandwich with French fries. They have milkshakes, too! Make sure you save enough room for ice cream when you get there!!!

I was told that I should have looked at the menu...went for 8 people for a kitchen sink...and was treated rude by the gal that filled up the glasses with water..once...no other refills. not many people were there either...then was billed an extra 15.00!!! how was I to know the site was out-dated??? this place sucks! then when I called...expecting to hear a "im sorry about ..." all I got was an "actually sir..." and then wong was not even apologizing for the rude service and bait and hook on the prices (menu vs website)...we didnt look at a menu, took the site for being current, made a reservation and then learned all we could about this place; that its not really a fun and friendly as weve heard.

This is the Fentons of WC for those wondering. Average size place for formal sit down inside and couple of tables outside. Theres a window out front for those ordering to go. Theres no table service beyond this point as youve to seat yourself outside. Theres table service inside and weekends usually have a line that spill outside. Single scoop is $4.5 and you even get a choice of cone as I always get sugar cone for their crunchiness and sturdy enough to hold on to. Sugar cone has advantages that cake cone dont. Its not soggy even with melted ice cream covering it for a long period of time. This again proves that it holds well in any liquid form for a long period of time.

Came in at 10:20pm.. No greeter. Severs looked at us and kept by passing. With 4 booths open we finally sat ourselves. TWO WAITERS FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED US saying that carryouts arent allowed to seat in the dining area even though we waited 15 minutes without anyone even acknowledging we were waiting. All we wanted was coffee and ice cream. Staff were EXTREMELY RUDE and even after asking for some coffee we still had to wait for another 10 minutes. NOT what I expected after all the awesome things Ive heard about this place. If they didnt want colored people in there restaurant then they shouldve said "no colored people" at the door- then we wouldnt have bothered them.

We wanted some real ice cream so we stopped by here with some friends. There is a small window outside with some basic ice cream options, a dine-in and take-out line. We decided to hit-up the take-out and sit outside with our ice cream. There are a ton of great flavor and toppings choices and it took me awhile to choose. I ordered a sundae with toasted almond and caramel. The caramel was hot and the ice cream was cold and tasty. My wife got a single scoop and it was HUGE. For less than $10 we got plenty of ice cream for the both of us. Next time, I want to try out one of their more extravagant sundaes. The kitchen sink looks awesome!

Who honestly gives a bad review for an ice cream parlor. We came here a few years ago for the Man vs Food challenge...We failed at three scoops in. We were back but this time tackled the eight scoop creamy rich kitchen sink as a team. We did not finish again. The ice cream here is good! The $50 kitchen sink is not a typical order. Next time itll be a sundae and a burger. The place also offer diner type foods. The fries was okay. It could use a bit more salt, especially when you want to cut the richness of the ice cream. This place was great the last time I came, it was great this past visit.

Awesome shakes! Hubby is trying a shake made with vanilla and ube. Whats ube? Dont know. But he says it tastes good. Man vs Food was here. They have a challenge.... Sundae made with 8 scoops and 8 toppings. Finish in under 30 minutes and its free! PLUS, free ice cream for a year. And another added benefit, foul language (stronger than darn) is not acceptable. But beware on the roads. Apparently pedestrians have no responsibility to check for cars before crossing the street. (Even at rush hour) Metered parking, bring your quarters. First time Ive actually seen a meter maid. LOL

Amazing. Every time I go to SF, I have to make the trek to Walnut CREEK to this amazing apot. Sure I heard about this place through Adam Richmond and Man vs Food, but I have come to know it as my special place when in the area. I would definitely drive here from LA just for their ice cream. They have many flavors and they are all amazing. Service is top notch and I have zero complaints. I love love love this place. Dont change a thing, guys, its already the best Ive been to.

The signs for dine in and carry out were very confusing, we ordered, got our food and sat down inside. Apparently we had the wrong line, even though we were in a open booth in a mostly empty restraint. Okay ice cream and terrible customer service. We drove from downtown San Francisco to here because my wife wanted it that bad. Do yourself a favor and just eat at the most convenient spot for you, not worth any kind of drive.

Would not go there for the food ever again. Waste of money I am sorry to say. Good ice-cream but dont go for the food. Should be ashamed of their kids menu. For what they get it should be free with an adult meal. One small tea-cup size macaroni and cheese for one dish (no sides). Other dish was a few small pieces of grocery store quality pizza (no sides). Staff great but Id eat dinner before you go here. Fail...

Burgers...meh. Ice cream...amazing. My family of six (all adult sized) was not pleased to be squished into a booth made for four. In their defense it was very busy but it felt like they were trying to make a quick buck at the expense of our comfort. However, after we ordered the seater gave us another table...made for six this time...and the move was complete long before our food arrived.
