A cute little ice cream shoppe with a sort of quaint feel and some old-fashioned charm, Niles Ice Cream Sweets & Eats was the perfect place for a cool summer night. Located in an equally lovable small town of Niles, we had a blast walking around with our scoops of flavorful ice cream. The Tin Roof flavor was sweet fudge swirls blended into its less-sweet counterpart vanilla ice cream to balance out the sweetness. The cookies and cream had obvious hints of chocolate cookie/oreo flavors. The Ube (purple yam) was the least sweet and reminded me very much of when my family used to get a tub of ube ice cream each week from an Asian market. As with most ice cream places, they charge a little more than you normally would pay for ice cream, however the portions here are so generous, it felt worth it. Service was friendly here and the staff wears matching work t-shirts which further pulls the whole vintage-ice-cream-store theme together. Niles Ice Cream Sweets & Eats not only offer delectable ice cream flavors, they also offer smoothies, hot dogs, and sundaes. Ive never had a sundae before, so I suspect it wont be long until I revisit to try one finally!

Definitely fell in love with place on our first visit. There was no wait to order and we were offered samples of the best seller, as well as the 2 seasonal flavors. I chose the Black Raspberry Vanilla and I was very happy about that selection. My sister ordered chocolate chip cookie dough and it was good too. As others have mentioned, it is a little pricier than other chain stores but I promise that its worth it (flavor+portion+local business=

The ice cream flavors are more natural and less sugary tasting. The owner (older gentleman?) was very nice and offered samples even after we had cones in our hands. The single scoop was pretty large and worth the $3 price. We sampled a limited recipe ice cream that tasted just like peach cobbler. So good! They offer pints for takeaway and even large commercial sized tubs for parties or events.

Ive lived in Union City for 3 1/2 years and this is the first time that I tried this place. I had mixed feelings after eating their ice cream, Happiness because I had just eaten some of the best ice cream ever and sadness because I missed out during the last 3 1/2 years! the Marble Black raspberry is beyond yummm!! Exceptional ice cream! Great service, huge portions for the cost! Ill be back!!

I live right up the street from the place so I figured I would write a review. I have been to this place a few times, and every time I was satisfied. They have really good quality ice cream for a very reasonable price. Very good and comforting environment, extremely well kept, and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this shop for locals or passers-by that have a sweet tooth. :-)

A relatively new shop in the historic Niles district of Fremont. This place is so good, it put all of the other chain ice cream places in the area out of business. I love that everything is very reasonably priced, especially their pastries, cookies and cake. Loved the ice cream? You can take a tub of it home! It gets crazy busy here though so be prepared to wait a few minutes to order.

Great place to have a snack! Ice cream is really good and affordable, and the shop is complete with a Pokemon Go gym. My favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate mint chip, but for most people, I would recommend the Marble Black Rassberry. However, being allergic to nuts, I wish they had more nut-free flavors.

Definitely one of the best ice cream shops in the area which also sells delicious hot dogs! Creamy and yummy ice cream, highly recommend the Charlie Chaplin sundae for chocolate lovers. My favorite is the pralines n caramel flavor! Great atmosphere and clean!

Ice cream, sundaes, malts, shakes. All of them well worth trying. They also do hot dogs which me are surprisingly good. I truly enjoy the Niles area. If youre there and have a sweet tooth, its a good call to grab some ice cream and enjoy the outdoor seating.

I just want to say I only like to eat rainbow sherbet and they always run out I wish you would buy more and store it very popular and they use to have small cup for water and took that away what is going on please feel my rainbow sherbet

So far, I came to visit twice, and my experience has been wonderful. My kids and I love their ice cream. This is a nice little place to take the kids after school, or on weekends. Niles area alone is an old but charming little town.
