7/24/14 A friend in my office gave me a $25 gift certificate to the BH Grill. I surprised my husband by suggesting this place when he asked what I wanted to do for lunch. (Usually I sorta shrug and mumble something about tacos). We drove downtown, paid for metered parking inside the garage on Locust (thats new), then walked across the street to the grill. I ordered the Greek Salad ($7.99) with extra olives (which I think they forgot) and Casey ordered the Bacon/Cheddar sandwich ($9.99). Two sodas for $3.98 and we were only a dollar under the gift cards amount. Perfect! Our buzzer rang really fast - there isnt much on the sandwich so I guess its pretty easy to put together. I started my salad wondering if it had been dressed. I mixed it around some and found more dressing at the bottom. When I actually reached the bottom it was really, really dressed. Aside from that, it was pretty good. The pita sticks it comes with werent really crunchy, more like oily fried bread, but I ate them too. My husbands sandwich was supposed to have a ranch sauce on it, which he even confirmed when he picked it up, but it was very mustardy tasting (which I love, and he hates). Beef, cheese, and bacon are on the bread, and thats it. The cheese is only on the top so he was disappointed it wasnt on every bite (or at least a few more bites than it was). Near the end of his sandwich he gave up on the meat (there were some oddly chewy pieces) and I finished part of it. When I returned to work, a co-worker asked if something smelled like horseradish. My goodness, it mustve been me! My toothbrush and I fixed that problem, but the problem of a just-average $10 sandwich remains. Glad it was a gift certificate. I dont think I would have rated so highly had we paid ($23.83) for lunch.

Im a big fan of Buckhorn. while on a high protein diet I went there weekly for tri tip and their grilled veggies. Both are absolutely delicious. They are usually very consistent although Ive had a couple of less than stellar experiences. First, I usually order my steak medium but too often at Buckhorn medium turns into well done. So I stick to medium rare. And one time the steak just didnt taste right after I got home. I usually dont complain but it was a whole tri tip and we couldnt finish it - it just wasnt up to par. Their manager got in touch with me right away, apologized, and gave us a free tri tip. I would have gone back regardless but I appreciate him making it right. This isnt a fine steakhouse so I dont have the highest expectations but that kind of service and what is usually excellent food keeps Buckhorn on my regular schedule.

We stopped in because we had a gift certificate to use. We ordered quickly and took a seat in the back. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was buzzing with lots of people. Our food came out fairly quickly and we got down to business. My chicken sandwich was HUMONGOUS, yet delicious. The side salad was small and fresh. BFs burger was moist and tasty but his sweet potato fries were a bit limp. Overall, we both agreed that we would come back to Buckhorn Grill.

A gloified cafeteria. No service, nearly open warfare for a table. Food is nothing special by any standard. $8.99 for 6 ounces of tough tri-tip on a partially split bun with a couple of ounces of au jus. I won't be back serve yourself drink station. I'll bet they much prefer their online order to go service. Dine in is almost an after thought. I hate people leering over your table as they hope for a table.

i ordered a salmon sandwich to go and i should have looked in the bag before i left. but i shouldnt have to. to my surprise, the salmon sandwich wasnt even a sandwich, i only got a piece of salmon and thats it. no buns and other condiments. you stupid sons of bitches! i paid for a full sandwich and you just threw a piece of salmon in there with no bread, lettuce, or anything? what utter ineptitude!

Tri top sandwich was great, cooked to order. You order at the counter, then pick a table, pick up the food when ready. We had a small party, so prewarned them we were coming. They pushed a couple of tables together. I had a birthday cake but forgot the plates which they kindly provided with forks and a knofe to cut it.

Someone stole my identity. I have no money. The only thing Ive eaten today is a bit of popcorn. I asked if I could use my rewards points to eat the first proper meal ive had in 24 hours. The cashier refused because I didnt have enough rewards points. Im never eating here again, go to hell Buckhorn Grill.

Tasty sandwiches, fast service Their tri-tip sandwich (which anywhere else would call a French dip) is delicious. The meat is medium rare, the bread crusty, the au jus savory. Its served plain, so dont fail to add BBQ sauce, which is on the table in a couple of varieties.

This used to be a place I frequented but theyve really gone downhill and the service is horrible there servers are rude practically slapping the food down at your table its definitely something that needs to close down

Buckhorn is good. Really good. Do yourself a favor and skip the fries for the red mashers. If you get a sandwich make sure you get one with red radish sauce. Some of the best cornbread Ive had as well.

Not too bad for fast food bbq. Food is above average for what you would expect for this type of restaurant. Portion sizes are big and prices are very reasonable. Yeah, I will eat here again.
