I would not recommend this place at all to anyone for three reasons. 1. Slow service. From the time we walked in and the time we walked out, it took us two hours. Everything took at least a 10-15 minute wait when it should not. It made no sense because the place was barely half full and we came in at 2PM, which is not necessarily a busy time for many restaurants. 2. Half of the menu options were unavailable. I do not understand why half of the menu was unavailable. I have been to several BBQ restaurants and have never been told about half of the menu is unavailable to order. 3. Poor customer service. Like I said, service is slow. If it is slow, then apologize to the customers. If half of the menu is unavailable, please let them know that they are when the customers receive the menu. The waitress started telling what was available until we asked her after trying to order two different items. Throughout the entire time, we saw the waitresses several times, but they did not seem to care to want to tend to our table for whatever reason. They seemed really busy all the time and just all over the place. There was a point where we just did not see anyone for a while. 4. Based on my experience with the food. The BBQ is just ok. I had better. Honestly, it is not that memorable enough for me to say, " That was awesome BBQ. I want to go back and eat there again. " Even if it was the best BBQ, I just probably would not go back there again. I do not even know why it was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Drive bys."I have been to other BBQ restaurants that have been on tv and they were awesome,. Just not this one. The food was pricey too.

We stopped to have lunch at Schellville Grill and were told they could seat us but it would be an hour for food. We decided to stay, we were not in a big hurry, and the couple behind us said the food was really good. We never did get to eat the "good" food! We waited patiently for over an hour and began to notice that couple and others behind us were being served their food. We asked the waitress how long it would be for our food, as it had been over an hour. She told us we were next and we waited again. Then she started bringing out food for a large party of 16 that had also come after us. By this time, our patience was completely exhausted. We had noticed during our wait that there was tension between the cook and waitresses and several unhappy customers that left unserved. Finally got up again and asked the waitress how long and mentioned the people being serving that came after us. She said let me check and went up to the counter to check the tickets. The cook (owner) told her to quit standing there She tried to tell him about us but he totally dismissed her. She did not come back to us to but continued to serve other customers. So I went up to the counter and asked when our we going to get our food. He told us "I dont have your ticket" and asked the waitress where it was. He tried to sooth us by offering to pay for our coke! We said "no thanks", left $3.00 for the coke and walked out vowing we will never return. We cant rate the food because there was no food and the service!!!???

We drove into the parking lot around 3:15 on a Saturady afternoon and unfortunately saw a sign in the window that said closed. As we started to leave a gentleman stopped us and said dont pay attention to the sign and proceeded to invited into the restaurant. He led us to a table in a wonderful outdoor dining area. The food, well the Chicken Buckaroo sandwich was awesome, my nephew had the pulled pork sandwich and thought it was the best he had ever eaten. the sides of fries and cole slaw were great, my wife and my nephews fiancee both had salads and were both pleased. As it turned out the gentleman that invited us in was the owner and was our waiter as well. we will definetly go back, such a pleasant change from some of the stuffy overpriced restraurants that populate the Napa Sonoma area. Dont expect gourmet service at this location as mentioned but i sure id like to be acknowledged after being seated after awhile, i tend to agree with the past posts that service is lacking. I came here for breakfast once before passing thru and there was single waitress holding her own with no help, all with a smile and laughing with the guests...breakfast was good, but coming in for lunch at a later time was a different experience...we finally were asked for drinks but then it never arrived after watching others being seated and helped...we departed but got a "thanks for coming" as we walked out the door...the restaurant gets those stars only due to the young ladys performance that morning serving breakfast...I will try for third time, but it will be awhile before i do...

For a local hotspot near Sonoma on the way back to SF, this was quite fine. We stopped in for lunch and the food was more than decent, so not sure about the mid-star reviews. Sure, its not gourmet, but why would you come to a diner-like cafe for that? Jody was our server and she was on top of it, friendly, and a doll. We felt so bad because we found out its a cash-only place, so we only scraped enough to cover the amount. I asked for Jodys info to send her a tip, but she waved me off, with a friendly smile. Btw, the sweet potato fries were awesome. Ask for sour cream to add great flavor.

Service, Service, Service. Easy to say hard to learn. Service was molasses in middle of winter slow, food was just above average. Good ingredients just waaay overcooked (see pics). Had the Rocky Jr chicken 19 bucks for half (woah bro the 3 star michelin places are down the street) Fried fish sandwich 14 for a fancy fish fillet, onion rings 6.50 (they were almost blackened). Over 30 min wait for food un freakin acceptable, no wonder you have trivia cards on your table to kill time waiting for food and drinks. p.s. no one cares guy fieri visited your joint fix your service!

Great Food, love the atmosphere outside. We tried this place out after seeing it on Drive-Ins Diners and Dives and were blown away with the meals. We had the brisket sandwich, the buckaroo, gargonzola chicken salad and the steak tip sandwich... all were amazing!! The outside patio was perfect and the day we were there there was a live band that made our dining experience one of a kind. The service was moderately lacking, but as we werent in a hurry, the food and atmosphere made up for that. I would definitely recommend this place!

I got the BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese. This was very different from other pulled porks I had so it wasnt what I expected, but it was still great. Heres some highlights: Amazing smokey flavor. Never got that in a sandwich before. Cheese and onions add some subtle flavors that are missing from other all-meat sandwiches. The bread held it all together perfectly. I got some extra pork dripping out, but it didnt get all over the place like some. PS. The fries are some the best, excellent crispiness. Just add salt!
