I cannot speak to a regular meal experience here, but if you are looking for a place in the area to do a group dinner, I would highly recommend Pizzeria Tra Vigne for the high quality of food, choices, service (both preparations & during the meal itself), & overall value. I wanted to write to commend Pizzeria Tra Vigne for the great experience my work team had when we ate dinner here as part of an offsite in wine country. Kimmie, who coordinated the logistics beforehand, was very communicative and responsive to any/all questions I had regarding a fixed menu for a group of 35. We paid about $30 / head inc tax & tip for soft drinks, caesar salad, assorted pizzas, & gelato...which I found very reasonable given that most places make you rent a room for a group of our size which jacks up your price quite a bit. They have a large selection of pizzas and gelato flavors if you choose to go this route. The staff was also accommodating to our one gluten free attendee. The place is pretty big & open (and seemed to be appropriately staffed) so luckily we did not feel like we were totally overwhelming the place. The parking lot is big, which also can be sometimes hard to find on this main street in St. Helena. Only thing that was slightly disappointing was that the corkage fee is not waived for groups ($10/bottle). All our guests were overall very pleased with the experience; thank you Kimmie & company.

This restaurant is awful! I just cant believe the exceptional reviews online. Not only is the restaurant of chain-line decor and taste (in such a beautiful area with great restaurants), the service is horrendous. We were a large party that came into the restaurant for a late lunch this past Sunday. I personally requested to speak with the manager, who was completely unapologetic and insincere after I detailed the issues we experienced, which included that our party was not seated for quite some time upon arrival despite a nearly empty restaurant, that MULTIPLE items were not delivered as ordered, and that the check was not divided as requested at the beginning of service. In regard to the latter, the waiter literally initiated service by requesting if we wanted separate checks and took our orders by individual / couple. At the end of service, he brought a single check and went cross-eyed when we asked why the checks werent divided, as he had initially OFFERED. The whole operation at this restaurant is bizarre. We also e-mailed corporate and, surprise, no response (yet). The food was average. I am still devastated by this experience!

Very disappointed... Over priced, and leaves little to be desired. We had prawns, calamari, and broccoli for app, Caesar salad and burgers. The app tasted like we were eating lemons, there was lemon in the sauce, lemon on the side, lemon in the batter, and then fried lemons as the 4th pairing.. id like to taste the food too not lemons.. the Caesar dressing was more mayo then anything, and the piece of soggy fish they put on top was not a good pair for romain lettuce leaves and croutons that could break a tooth.. the burger was delicious, I enjoyed it very much. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely aside from the domestically disputing couple behind us.

Best Steak in Napa Valley and San Francisco!!! As there was no definitive "best steak" in San Francisco, my husband and I drove up to St Helena for Tra Vigne's beefsteak alla Florentine served only on Friday nights. It made for a truly amazing meal! We started with their burrata appetizer. My husband loved the bread and mozzarella. I loved the seasoning. Along with the steak for 2 and appetizer, we only had room for a glass of cabernet from Markham vineyards. Perfect! Make the drive, you won't be disappointed.

Was here with my fiance after a day of wine tasting. One of the local wineries suggested Tra Vigne. Im very glad we came. Their pizza was incredible. Wood fire baked, authentic toppings. I was worried it might be one of those super super authentic places where their pizza has nothing but olive oil and tomatoes or something. But this pizza was great. We choose the large "Ducati", which had several kids of mushrooms, capicola, sausage, and sliced tomatoes. Next time we go to wine country we will for sure stop by again.

a month short of the first time we were here 10 years ago (with many many visits in between), i found tra vigne to be a fabulous imitation of itself. the food was wonderful, and, even if the menu was lacking some of my favorites, i admired its attempt at a new edge. but something was missing; something intangible. i would conclude that you cant keep doing the same thing forever and keep it fresh....and you also cant try to change it only slightly without calling up the nostalgia for the past.

Recommended by a neighbor, and Im very glad they did. My wife and I went for lunch. The grounds, the interior decor, and the meal were all fantastic. The made-to-order mozzarella appetizer was fantastic. The ravioli were made from fresh pasta, and delicious. Cocktails were excellent and delicious. The butterscotch dessert was the other highlight -- nearly rivaling the mozzarella. Service was friendly and very comfortable. This is a place were going to be recommending to our friends.

I wasnt in love with the food...the property was beautiful, our waitress was great...my food upon arrival was a bit cold; i had the steak my boyfriend had the chicken which was very hot so much so you couldnt touch the plate. wine was good as well as the dessert. our tab was $150 with tip...I would consider going to Press instead if you want steak. I felt the food was mediocre

I had a reservation for 4 Thursday March 1, 2012 and to say I was disappointed with our meals is not strong enough. My friend and I had the Saltimbocca and it was dry, tough and uneatable. One of my guests had a soup that had a very strong metal taste. Only my wifes ravioles and the mozzarella were good. The service was exceptional but the food was not good. Fred Gartrell

Definitely a nice place for a quick bite of tasty pizza. You wont get the 5 star treatment, but the service is quick and attentive and the place is kid friendly. Gelato is good as well. Patio seating is nice and shady. A nice break form the more formal dinings around the NV when all youd like is a slice of tasty za and beer or glass of vino. Would definitely return.

The pizza is AMAAAAZING. Had me going back there over and over again , and I still go there. Fungi is my favorite, mushrooms so moist And chewy and all...... Also have pool table, fountain outside, gelato, and coloring and activities booklets ( change em every few weeks, kids love them). Good service and sports cable.

An ideal spot for lunch whilst wine tasting in Napa. Theres a beautiful patio but on a hot day opt to sit inside in the air conditioning. Definitely get the burrata on toasted ciabatta. Their specialty housemade pappardelle with rabbit ragout. Their roasted corn soup is also delicious. Try the mini donuts for dessert!
