The name of the restaurant is really misleading. I m Nepalese, so when I walked into the restaurant , the decor and background music gave me feeling back home and promised me food that would cater to my nepali palate . But when I opened the menu , I saw there is nothing that we can call himalayan or nepali . The entire menu was filled with vindaaloos and tikka masalas which are authentic indian food. I was disappointed so when I asked the owner about the discrepancy. .she was extremely defensive and said Its not nepali restaurant. .its himalayan restaurant thats why we have indian meals"....I was speechless....just to let her have the courtesy of serving the ever so confused menu ..I did go ahead and order some. Disappointed! Just piece of advice ...just for the purpose of running the business ..dont hurt peoples sentiments and propagate information thats not factual ..stop telling people that vindaaloos represent authentic taste of himalayas when it does not. .or simply just change the name to some thing else like nawwab or taj

그루폰에서 쿠폰 구입해서 먹었는데 런치가격이랑 별 차이 없었다는..ㅎㅎ그냥 런치먹으로 가도 될듯요. 양고기 빈달루(맵게)랑 닭고기버섯 먹었는데 엄청 맛있게 잘먹었어요. 많이 짜지 않아서 더 좋았네요. 이 나라는 워낙 짜게먹는 나라라서.. 아 그리고 망고라씨랑 스윗라씨도 맛있었어요. 다른곳에서 먹었을땐 묽었는데 요긴 되게 걸쭉했어요. 과장해서 빨대로 먹기 살짝 힘들정도? ㅋㅋ 양고기빈달루는 한식이 고픈 분들이 와서 드시면 그럭저럭 해소 될거에요.

Came back for my friends birthday still unbelievably good.The owner treated my friend and I to free beers, and even brought out dessert with a candle for my friend. He often checked up on us and talked to us about his life and restaurant, and Ive really never felt so comfortable in a restaurant before.The food here is great as ever--still recommending the chicken cashew cream curry, and this time I went for the combo which came with traditional Nepali sides. Lots of food, but so, so worth it.Seriously,you have to try this place!

We decided to have dinner on the island after taking an afternoon tour around. The service was good and they seated us quite quickly as soon as we got there. Its a relatively small space with about 7-8 tables. Even though the decor was simple, but it does have some nice ethnic feel to it. The food was decent and we had a overall nice experience there.

First time here, got to-go food. Shrimp tandoori was essentially flavorless, maybe they forgot the sauce? Gave me white rice instead of the brown that was requested. Beet salad was good. Momo was good. Maybe its better when you are seated and they can correct their mistakes?

We live nearby and this is our "go-to" neighborhood restaurant. The food is very good, service is very friendly and prices are fair enough by Marin standards. The decor is no big deal, but the place has a warm vibe that keeps us coming back.

First of all, this is a Nepalese doing a review. We ordered special lunch set and two plates of Momo. The lamb momos were stale. The lunch wasnt different either. Pretty disappointed. The service was good though and the music was soothing.

This is one of our favorites for food that we dont make at home. We usually get 3 dishes and some naan (my husband really like the garlic cilantro!). A Tandoori dish, a Vindaloo dish and Chana Masala works well with my no dairy diet.

Good food. Chicken biriyani was awesome. Lamb Biriyani was average. Mutton Nepali curry was very salty. Chicken chili was very delicious. Decor was OK. Cleanliness can be improved. overall very good food.

Small quite restaurant but delicious food. We had momos, veg tikka masala, naan all of which were good and delicious. Service is great and we are regularly asked about the dishes and if we liked them.

What a great place, the food is always good, they have a good selection of wine and the service is great! I strongly recommend the lamb and you shouldnt skip dessert.
