The tuna fish sandwich I had was absolutely delicious - start by poaching the tuna and then turning it into a tuna salad – but it wasnt really healthy . It had more mayo than Ive ever been served on any sandwich . And, although mayonnaise is an excellent comfort food its not particularly healthy . moreover, because it was almost liquefied by the amount of mayonnaise the feeling spent its time falling out of the sandwich onto my hands . So if you order this kind of sandwich you have to be ready to enjoy eating like a kid with your sandwich all over your hands .Also two sandwiches with an upgrade from salad to French fries on one of the platters came to approximately $35 . On the one hand, this might be fair because they are using organic, non-GMO food . On the other hand going in I didnt expect that two sandwiches would end up costing $35 . Thats including tax and tip . The ambience inside is really lacking – its almost depressing – dark and dreary . They do have an outside eating area that I didnt discover until the end of our meal and that would make the ambience of dining theyre much more pleasant

Theyve been open 5 days, and weve been there twice. The first time, we got Macaroni and Cheese with Broccoli and Spanish Chorizo and a Cobb Salad. The next night it was the fish sandwich with fries and the short rib sandwich with side salad and a cup of gazpacho. Overall, the food was excellent, but maybe a couple bucks more expensive than similar places. Standouts were the Mac and Cheese, though the added chorizo did little to enhance the dish. The chicken breast on the cobb was slightly dry, but still delicious. The fries are excellent. Fried and then tossed in a hot pan with rosemary and salt. Gazpacho was pureed, rather than chopped, but the flavor was outstanding. The lightly breaded cod in the fish sandwich was flavorful and tender. And, while the flavor on the short rib sandwich was really good, the meat was on the dry side and a little crispy. I was expecting something a little more tender. All in all, though, good food from a new restaurant. Well be back for sure.

New, fresh in terms of menu offering, ingredients, and take on classics. Their fish sandwich, recommended by another customer, was just delicious. This isnt a McD fish sandwich, this is a real fish sandwich with a large cut of fish, full of flavor. All of their pastra/baked goods (including pizza) are all made in house. I tried their Spanish chorizo, roasted butternut squash, arugula, white sauce, gruyere pizza. Gruyere is a "different" tasting cheese, but with chorizo, it balances very well and the squash adds additional texture to the pizza. Overall, recommend if youre looking something fresh, non-GMO, and an awesome fish sandwich.

I went to Earthbelly in a hangry and delirious state after a long drive down from Humboldt. I needed a healthy and tasty meal that would fill the empty pit within me. The seared ahi tuna salad accomplished this task with grace. I was super into the potatoes, onions, and thinly sliced boiled egg that accompanied the fish on a tasty bed of fresh greens. I also drank a glass of the cucumber mint lemonade, which was very lightly sweet and had just enough mint to add a little extra chill to my overheated body without overpowering the flavor. I found the atmosphere elegant and nonimposing, and the owner energetic and friendly.

Earthbelly is a local Santa Cruz hidden gem. They serve all organic, high quality foods and drinks. I love the salads, rosemary fries, the soups and sandwiches! The owner Chad clearly has a passion for his restaurant and is shows in the vibe and the amazing, healthy food choices. If you have dietary restrictions, this is the place to go eat! Theres plenty of vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian and meat-lover selections! Three thumbs up!

The black bean burger was pretty good. I just didnt like that the black beans were still whole, they kept falling out everywhere and made the texture a little weird, but besides that it was great. You can order almost anything in a vegan version, but they have tons of meat options also. I gave 3 star only because it was really over priced and because of the patty.

Super yummy delicious healthy food I can finally eat without guilt! Ridiculously good by the way! They make their own gluten free bread and pastries. The fries were garlic and rosemary and I cant wait to go back. My sandwich was an egg salad with smoked salmon onions and capers... Delish! Highly recommend stay in or takeout! Thanks Earth Belly!!!

Decent food, above average for Santa Cruz. The vegetarian options on the menu are a little lacking. The triathlete salad could benefit from having the brocolli steamed or roasted. The veggie sandwich has a lot of fat/oil, but not enough acidity to balance it out. The garlic fries have great flavor and are a little soggy/not crsipy.

Prices are higher than their website advertised. Burgers were OK but over cooked. I asked for medium rare and got medium well. The fries, which I assumed would be plain fries as nothing was said in the description, but were covered in garlic (which I love) and thyme (didnt work the greatest together). Was an experience.

Had out of town guests with particular food requirements and high quality standards, plus a picky child. Everyone was satisfied and after being in crowds, it was great to pick up our meal and enjoy at home. I love the fish sandwich on gluten free bun. Great variety.

I had lunch with 3 other friends and so we tried many dishes. When I complimented the woman cleaning we were gifted a sample gluten free dessert. Everything was fresh and yummy! I wish them the best as they are near my work !DrMariposa Bernstein LAc

The beer was good. Thats about it. The fries were burnt. Twice. The santacruz burgers were just plain bad. It usually takes a lot for me to give 1 star. But I cant justify 20 bucks for a burger and fries which I can get at McDonalds.

The decor and look was a bit odd; not a particularly cozy place. But the food was excellent - I had one of the best veggie burgers Ive ever had, and the salad, fries, soup and sandwich were also great. Not cheap though.

The line was a bit long when I was here but the food was very good. There are a ton of good vegetarian options. Parking can be difficult here. Ive had some luck parking behind the restaurant but results may vary.

After trying almost everything on the menu, I cant believe how good everything is! Yes its pricey because everything is organic, but its worth it for the flavors alone. Even the fries are a cut above.

Great food, although its a little pricey for self service. For this price, I dont want to go pick up my own silverware and pour my own water. They have fantastic pastries and great coffee too.
