Discovered this place while out with a friend checking out the new 4th Street Market nearby. She mentioned it was open super late - like until 4am and I made a mental note to suggest this spot to the boy because were always looking for places to hang out late and drink. California law says you can only serve alcohol until 2AM and you can only drink until 2AM in a public place so meh. Not sure how thats going to play out for these boys. However the spot is really cool even tho its a bit of a hassle if you want to eat. Upon entering its a bit confusing. The food ordering process is front and center. Skip that and just head back if you want to drink. Thats where its dark and communal but we wanted no part of that so we headed to the bar and luckily found a quiet spot in the back with the bartenders complete attention for drinks and got our drink on. Boy felt like fries so we learned the hard way that you had to close the tab, go place an order and then come back. Bartender was cool enough to save our awesome seats and luckily you dont have to wait around for the food. You can order and theyll bring it. Fries were good. Very potatoey with a choice of 3 dipping sauces. I do like my dipping sauces and they go beyond just standard ranch. Overall, we really liked the place and vibe. It made for a good Friday and week ending. We both needed to de-stress and this was just awesome.

Wursthaus, I cant stop thinking of you. Youre the only thing thats on my mind. With your enlarged sausage so plump and thick, it has me feenin for it, day and night. From the look on your face the first time I walked thru your door, you knew exactly what I wanted, your sausage sandwich between two soft buns covered in luscious toppings. The moment your sausage touched my lips, the sensation ran chills down my spine. As I thrusted your piece of meat inside my mouth, slowly bitting down, I felt your juices squirting down my throat. It was an explosion of flavor and I made sure to swallow every ounce. You didnt take it easy on me which made me want you even more. I wanted to go for a second round but I just couldnt take it anymore. Ive had my share of sausage but yours is simply irresistable with your classic, gourmet and exotic, nothing compares to yours. Such a satisfiying experience that already has me ready to come back for more.

Wursthaus is my go-to bar! The best thing about this place is the happy hour. On Sundays, theres happy hour all day! Also, downtown Santa Ana has free parking on Sundays so its a double win! I always order the Paulaner. I love that beer so much that sometimes I crave it and during happy hour, it only costs 4 dollars for 16 ounces!! The bar itself is really amazing with 20 beers on tap with a large variety. Even if youre not a huge beer drinker theres probably a drink here for you! On top of the great prices, good beer and large variety, the food is also amazing! If you like onions, get the drunk fries! The onions are caramelized in IPA so it has a sweet taste! Definitely a place to check out!

I really like this place. Drunken onions are amazing. I could eat a barrel of them...unless you put them over fries than i could eat like 2 barrels... Which they do. An assortment of condiments. I especially appreciate the whole grain mustard. Service? Its great! Ive been here a total of 4 times. I was a regular in my second return. Cool spot for a few beers and some grub before catching a flick at frida. I appreciate the low maintenance setup. Fyi, the setup is unconventional. All food ordered upfront.

Lets call this place a hidden gem in downtown Santa Ana. When you walk in, you think that this is just a bratwurst place and you stand at the counter ordering a unique brat - maybe a gator one or a traditional brat. The pretzel bun is something I would highly recommend. Once you place your order, you walk into the back where the real action is! A tavern with wooden benches, and a bar where they have German beer on draft. We stop here every time we are in the area. FYI, they are LGBT friendly.

Store front is nice and neat, and the aromas of grilled sausages make your mouth water. Their pretzel roll is soft and of quality. Once you walk through the semi-lit hallway you are welcomed to probably the nicest looking ,yet cozy bar in Santa Ana. Their selection of beers is great and prices are reasonable. Knowledgeable staff will guide you through their beer menu. Come here if you are a bit of a beer aficionado as it will make you want to come back.

Its always great here. You order your dog in the front, which is tiny, like a food truck. But dont get your beer there. Walk down the hallway and it opens up to a beautiful wood everything room. Theres a great bar there. They have about 20 taps. All of them are my favorite. The dogs are delish, the French fries are in my top 5 of the world, and theres no beer less than great. But get a st bernades abbot 12.the finest beer in the universe.

Absolutely delicious. We got the duck sausage on torpedo roll, brat on pretzel roll, natural cut French fries, and drunken fries. Everything tasted like top notche, gourmet gold and the prices are good for the quality. They have a great selection of German brews, which Im not typically a fan of but I found one I enjoyed. Atmosphere is dimmly lit and intimate, like an authentic little pub. Overall, 5 star experience!

Wurstkuche duplicate! Though Wursthaus has a smaller beer selection, they offer a convenient location for OC residents and some variations to their menu. Drunken fries - fries with caramelized onions, house sauce, and sliced sausage ... Mmmmm Personally, I feel that Wursthaus has the superior buns, but inferior fries to Wurstkuche. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will return if in the area!

Decently priced beer during happy hour on Sundays (all day), and weekdays (mon-thursday), although theyre typically out of those happy beers. The food is amazing though, beer or not. They have what they call, "exotic" meat, like boar, alligator, duck rattlesnake to name a few. Worth checking out if youre in the mood for some beer and hotdogs to go with a ambiance.

Unique sausages with a few delicious ways to have it prepared. They always have a wide variety of beers. The front looks like there is barely any room but if you walk down the hall on the right you will find yourself in a large room with a bar and tables. Parking around here can be a pain though.

I grabbed lunch here on my way to the courthouse. Great service, great food! The woman at the counter was super helpful and friendly. Cool atmosphere in rear dining area and bar. Food was delicious, and the beer selection was fantastic. Check this place out if youre into beer and sausages.

A yummy place to meet up. Beer, sausages and fries are an excellent combo. I always recommend getting Drunken fries. The spicy polish is my favourite sausage. They do mix it up with some exotic sausage so you can always try something new. There is a wide selection of beer and ales as well.
