I went into this if you want to call this an establishment and have never in my life received the kind of service that I did from this place. When we order people who came after us got service before we did which I can over look. Ok people get busy. But when my main food came it was cold and tasted like school cafeteria food. Just plain nasty! My b/f however liked his food so I was willing to just get a salad and sit through it. I saw who I thought may be the manager and explained to him that I was not happy with my food and I would like a salad. He asked why several times as if I was wrong to think that and I explained it was cold and I did not like it and I had only eaten a very very very small part of that dish. "Fresh" pizza should not have cold hard cheese on top. He seemed very annoyed and took my food back. Never bringing out my salad. We then got our bill and of course the meal that I did not eat was still listed on my bill. I explained to the waiter that I had sent it back and I because I was not happy with the dish he seemed surprised and asked if I wanted anything else. I told him No just the check I asked for a salad 10 minutes ago and was never given one so I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I explained to him who I thought to had been the manager knew I was not happy and if he did not care enough to I was leaving and to never return. To even more of a shock the man whom I thought to have been the manager was the owner. My bf asked if he could speak with him and he came right over. Explaining to us he was frustrated because other people have come in and taken advantage and eaten the food and sent it back. Well again we explained to him we would understand if we had even eaten a 1/4 of the food but I did not and regardless we are paying customers who spend most of our time eating out. He still appeared uninterested and was very rude. I have never in my life posted anything negative about any company until today. That was the worst treatment my bf have ever received from any establishment we have ever gone into. We eat out A LOT more that I would like to admit and have never been to a place more rude,racist,disrespectful, and just plain freaking nasty in all my life. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

A group of us ate at Haven, it was kinda special, we got a whole roast suckling pig, not many places that offer such a thing. We arrived and had to wait outside, for quite a while as a couple women would not leave... finally I guess they said something about the large group whose reservation includes the table they were lounging at. So, even though we had reservations for our large party they were not prepared to accommodate us, and even though we had warnings about being late, nothing stopped them from running behind. So we are seated and the place is LOUD. Like really loud. Along with the pig we got Prosciutto Brussels Sprouts, Baby Carrots, and Adult Mac & Cheese, which makes it sound like it has alcohol or something. Really it is just good cheeses supposedly with truffle. Although we figured they waved a truffle over it like a magic wand, as none of us perceived any truffle oil. Then I think about what Gordon Ramsay says about truffle oil, and laugh. We were disappointed with the pig, we did not find it to flavorful, it was unseasoned pork. The skin was really hard and unpleasant. The Brussels Sprouts were way too salty, while the other sides were delicious. I would not go back, the food did not impress, the atmosphere was unappealing.

This place is awesome. They have tons of different beers and mixed cocktails. Its amazing that a place like this exist in Orange County. Food: Fried pig ears- sliced in shoestring size and served with an aoli sauce. ( note u can use your check in offer of 50% on this item) Beet salad- huge portion with 3 different types of beets. Its enough as a light entree or as a shared salad. Definitely a memorable beet salad. Tripe poutine- Ive never had poutine before but have heard about how delicious it is in Montreal. The fries were super soggy and tripe was chewier than what I would prefer. I would pass on this and save your stomach for other items. Short rib tacos- generous portion of short ribs on the 3 tacos, however I would not order it again. The soft flour tortilla seemed store bought and was too thick. I only ate 1 of the 3 and was barely able to finish the 1. Flatbreads- the mushroom flatbread was good. The bread had some crunch to it and there were lots of mushrooms on top. Haven burger- super juicy and comes with a huge mound of fries. This is a go to default if you cant decide what you want to eat. I would recommend trying this place out, its not like your stereotypical OC chain place with lack of personality.

Food & drinks are spectacularly delicious. I only have an urge to drink beer once a season. This is THE PLACE to never go wrong with what is available. Be advised that some other customers are offended when they are told that the new rotation of beers compared to the booklet menu (which is not entirely up to date) is more expensive. Because these ppl have given a smug looks to the servers, they do not inform you of a price change. (Another server & the manager were swift to clear up this new understanding of their system to appease their other demographics.) SIMPLY ASK YOUR SERVER the NEW PRICE if there is A SUBSTITUTION to what u have chosen from the beer booklet. (It would also b a nice solution if a small updated menu was available & not just on that large chalkboard indoors. We sat outdoors.) Now that I know how they work, I will not b shy to ask & that.s y I still give them 5s *****! The food is incredibly flavorful, & when I went they were supporting a JAMES BEARD PROJECT (whose mission is partly "making Americas food culture ...more sustainable...". Flavorful mushrooms in 25% of my burger patty was an unfathomable flavor! I gotta return b4 the month is over to order that breakfast burger again!

Originally introduced to this pub for my 22nd birthday by my sister (who was a local at the time). Once I moved to Laguna, I would make the drive to have their drinks. Now I live in Orange - this is the only place I trust to make a decent drink. Im huge on quality spirits and craft beers. Greg, the bartender, has NEVER made me a drink that i didnt love. theyre constantly switching out their beer selection. One of my favorite beer is served here pretty regularly. Huge plus. The food is pretty tasty but a little pricey for my taste - but keep in mind: I go for the drinks, not for the food. It can get a little crowded on the weekends, so if you have a large group - I would go to another location. Perfect for a small group of friends that are looking for real drinks. If youre looking for drinks on a budget - plan on having a max one drink - these drinks can build up a huge tab fast - But I feel that the quality earns every penny - at least for my money, anyway.
