Double charged me for drinks. Explained the situation to the bartender AND the manager, whom both refused to believe what ACTUALLY happened. I would give this place negative 20 stars if I could for the attitude that came with it. Atrocious customer service. And that was on my first drink of the night. Details: Friend: (to the bartender) can I get a Long Island (for herself) and a margarita(for me)? Bartender: *gives us our drinks* Me: *gives him a credit card to pay for my drink (margarita)* Bartender: open or close? Me: open for now, thanks. Friend: *orders a beer for another friend* Bartender: $8 Friend: oh Im paying for the beer and this Long Island Bartender: okay *rings up the new total* open or close? Friend: close - about an hour later - Me: can I close my tab? Bartender: *hands me the tab* Me: $20 for one drink? Bartender: you got two drinks Me: no, my friend paid for hers separately. I only got the one drink Bartender: no, I gave you two drinks. I remember Me: um NO thats not what happened Bartender: you can bring your friend here to clear this up Me: this is bs. *finds friend and brings her to the bar* Friend: *explains that she paid for her drink separately to the bartender* Bartender: *to my friend* no, I gave her two drinks. *to me* What I charged you is what I charged you. Cant fix it. Me: can I speak to a manager?? -- The bartender and the manager talk with each other before the manager comes up to us. We explain to him the situation and he tries to tell us that he spoke to the bartenders and that my friend paid for a totally random drink (which we did NOT get) on a separate tab. What???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Save yourself the trouble; go somewhere else. Unbelievable!! P.S. I have NEVER argued with a server/management like this before. Probably because other people KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB RIGHT. Also, upon reading other reviews, overcharging and horrible customer service seems to be a reoccurring theme at this place

A few things I notice at just about every Auld is that that its where non Irish go to drink like their Irish. Its also a place that is surprisingly sportsbarish. The olden triangle (5/405/55) is not known for having basr, places to drink, party or be merry. Much of Irvine is super business park corporate area and people need to unwind and do it locally, so its no wonder Auld is a bit of a hotspot. Is it me or every Auld I tend to hangout the furthest from the bathroom and find it annoying having to walk so far? Not that I do it on purpose, but I go where the ladies go. Maybe there is a correlation. A nice selection of beers, but not like the booming craftropolis we have down in San Diego. Food is a step up from TGIF and what any real man looks for is Scotch, single malts and Whiskey (not the usuals). Ladies can still get their fruity drinks and the waitress are surprisingly good, maybe not the friendliest, but hey they come around and take even my quirkiest drink orders verbatim. A surprisingly older crowd than the LB location, but hey isnt that the nature of Long Beach vs. Irvine. I guess there is a lot of regulars and Im not yet one of them. They come back time and time again and I dont know why. If there was a divebar closer to my office than this Id be there, but until then its less upscale than its neighbors. Do with what you got. The food is ok, but if youre coming here to eat vs. sop up booze youre in the wrong place

I will NEVER go to the Auld Dubliner in Tustin again. Tonight, after ordering a final round of drinks several minutes before last call, our group of 5 teachers was told (not asked) to "Chug" our drinks and leave. The manager, "Dan," refused to speak with us regarding the manner in which we were being dealt with and instead announced we had to finish our drinks immediately and leave - through a MEGAPHONE. One of the waiters, "Russell," physically pulled the glass beer out of my wifes hand as she was holding it. We were talked down to as if we were a bunch of drunkards that werent capable of handling our alcohol and treated with more disrespect that I have EVER had in my life. I am still appalled at the way their management handled the entire situation, they wouldnt even give us the time of day to explain why we were being told to chug our drinks and get out. For those of you who work in bars, by 2:00am all alcohol must be gone from the premises... this was at 1:30am, we should have still had 30 minutes to finished our drinks. Honestly, does my writing come off sounding as though I am inebriated? According to "Russell" and "Dan" it should; this happened less than an hour ago. I would ask that you please think twice about patronizing this establishment due to disrespectful manner in which they treat their customers.

Been here a few times because my friends love this place. The environment is cool but service is either hit or miss and pretty expensive for the quality of items. The Auld Dubliner is located at the District, next to RA Sushi. I havent experienced the huge promo nights like St. Pattys Day, but might in the near future. My friends recommend this bar because they show the fights for free unlike other bars like Dave & Busters. This is a well-known bar and it gets packed, so come early. So we came here about a month ago to watch the fights and enjoy a few cold ones. The "Watermelon Wheat" is delicious. First time trying this type of beer and must say, I may come back just because of that option. Service is great the night we went. I believe the bartenders name is Kris, and she was remarkable. The menu for food is on the expensive side for the quality and amount. I ordered a side of fries and came out to $7.50, really? I am sorry but that is ridiculous. My friend ordered the tater tots with fries and it was $10. Hmm, I dont get. I am sure Ill be back because of my friends, but personally I dont mind not coming back. Overpriced, hit or miss service, congested; yeah not worth to roll the dice.

One extra star for decent service. The pub itself was disgustingly dirty. The server handed us two laminated menus both were sticky, one had food stuck to it, the other had a long black hair stuck on it. YUCK! The table was also sticky and unclean. We watched as other patrons came in, sat down and left without ordering... Despite all of this... we ordered a coconut shrimp ($10) , and a corned beef sandwich ($15)... one Guinness ($10) and a Smithwicks ($8.50, although only $8.00 on the menu). The coconut shrimp was obviously frozen and refried... bland. The corned beef sandwich was soggy, with really tough, flavorless corned beef. This place is a huge fail!

Im from San Diego. My girls and I came to Santa Ana for a girls weekend and some other festivities. We found this place while looking for some night life. Being one of the few open late in the district you wont find food anywhere near here after 10pm which kind of sucks. I found the bartenders were not personable at all, no "hey hows it goin", no eye contact. It was NOT inviting and I wouldnt attend here again. Paying $40 for 3 shots is absurd. I ordered 2 Vegas bombs and a buttery nipple, which was made entirely incorrectly.... Personally I wouldnt spend my hard earned income at a place like this.
