My new favorite hangout in downtown Covina. :) WHAT IT IS The B&B is really a sports bar. Their offerings include the basic sports bar fare (burgers, onion rings, ect), but there are some surprises. True to its name, they have some pasta dishes (with meatballs, of course). WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER Hamburgers and beer. AMBIANCE 5 stars Wonderful. When you enter, there will be a chalkboard menu to your left that lists current specials. The bar will be in front of you, and the dining room to your right. We usually sit near the windows. Its nice and dark and cool inside during the summer, and at night they light little candles on the tables so it has a rustic flair that goes well with the old building its in. Its open concept so it can get a bit loud inside, and they have live music on the weekends. If youre not a fan of live music they have a pretty decently sized outdoor patio. FOOD AND DRINKS 4 Stars The first time we visited, my husband was craving pasta. He ordered their basic spaghetti with marinara and meatballs. I ordered the "Big Poppa", a burger topped with egg, avocado, prosciutto, and garlic aioli. We also ordered a starter, the pictured "carnitas fries" The fries were a LOT like the super nachos you see at Mexican restaurants, except with fries! Delicious, and way more filling than we were expecting them to be! The spaghetti was *okay*. Im Italian and am pretty snippy about my marinara, and this had a bit too much heat for my liking. The meatballs were a bit dry. Not my bag, but then I make my own meatballs from scratch at home, so why would I want to order them from a restaurant? As for my burger? Ah-maze-ing. The Big Poppa is complex, but the flavors work. The salty sweetness of the prosciutto goes is wonderfully balanced by the garlicy bite of the aioli and the creamy avocado and the richness of the egg. Now that Ive experienced it, I far prefer prosciutto over bacon for hamburgers. Its less overpowering and lets the patty shine through. My patty was cooked perfectly to medium and was plenty juicy without ruining my bun. My only complaint is that they dont mash the avocado--avocado is so slimy that it has a tend to slide out of the burger as you eat, so this is a messy one! Once the yolk popped I pretty much gave up on being neat, since it was impossible! Absolutely delicious, though. As my side, I had their seasoned fries, which blow chain restaurants out of the water. I have since had their shoestring fries, garlic fries, and onion rings and theyre all winners as well, though I felt the garlic fries were still not quite on the level as the normal seasoned ones. Ah, but I havent mentioned drinks! The Brew and Meatball takes FULL advantage of all the wonderful microbreweries we have in the San Gabriel Valley and as of this writing has 16 craft beers on tap. You have your blonds, your IPAs, your darks, and then you have fun things like Phantom Carriage Strawberry Muis or Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. The list updates all the time, so they cycle new beers in. The last time I was in I had a vanilla cream beer that was out of this world, but its not on the list for September. NICE SURPRISES They have papas rellenas on the menu! They call them "papas balls", but you cant fool me! For the uninitiated, papas rellenas are meat stuffed potato balls that are fried. Your meat and potatoes in one package. :) The grocery store in my hometown (which was a Publix in Deltona Fl) used to carry these alongside their fried chicken and I used to grab one every time we went to the store (and I MISS THEM). The papas at the Meatball arent quite what I remember (these have sauce, and are much smaller. Also theyre filled with chorizo), but it was nice to see them again! OVERALL A stellar lunch spot if you stick to the burgers. Granted, we didnt roam their pasta menu much after that initial sitting, but weve since combed over their burger menu and those burgers are just out of this world. Stop going to Chilis and start coming here. Your taste buds will thank you!

We got here and we were seated withing 3 minutes at the bar. The service was super friendly even though they were running around since it seemed pretty packed inside. We ordered the carnitas fries, chorizo balls and spicy pork over brown rice and quinoa. The food was good and was well seasoned. My group and I had no complaints. Beer: Weins Apricot Wheat - this was on the lighter side and had a little bit of a fruitier taste Luganitas Cappuccino Stout - it was a bit strong, but I like coffee stouts Chapmans Slow Riser on Nitro - it was smooth and the head really taste like coffee - this was my favorite Overall - I had a Groupon deal for $20 worth of food. I never heard of this place before Groupon and I am glad I bought it. Id come back here. Parking is in the back, read the signs for public parking.

The Brew & Meatball Co. offers a menu that perfectly pairs the mood, setting, and beer selection. They offer a rotating tap list of about 10-20 beers. Their menu offers more than just meatballs, but since this was my first visit, I couldnt turn down the opportunity to try them. They offer a few different pre-set meatball selections or build your own. I went with the build your own option and got the spicy pork meatball with brown rice and quinoa. They only give you 3 meatballs, but theyre big and filling. My friend and I also ordered some carnitas fries, which were also really good. Great place to hang out and watch a game too.

I rarely give out 5/5s for restaurants but the food, ambiance and service here deserve all the stars. This place is right in the corner in the little downtown area of Covina. Its really easy to miss because you will only see "BMC" on the outside of the place. I got the build your own for $9.99,where you pick your choice of meat, carbs and sauce to go for your entrée. I got the spicy turkey with fettuccine and pesto sauce. I really recommend the coconut curry they have as a sauce though really tasty! Our server Chris was just a gem, and very accommodating.

I would not recommend this place, I came here for the first time on 27th of April. I ordered the meatballs with sauteed veggies and marinara sauce. When it arrived, it was drenched in grease , the vegetables where burned, the meatballs where soggy and had a odd texture (similar to baby food). This is good food to eat when your really drunk but not when your fully conscious of what your eating. Dissapointed with the quality. Do not recommend this place.

Carlos and Danielle have a good thing going here! They have a team that is just as passionate and hospitable as they are. Their menu changes seasonally, and they have something for everyone, beef, pork, chicken. Even veg balls! Not to mention specials that changes as well. Great variety, and great happy hour too! Wich leads me into drinks. Although its beer and wine, (no full liquor license) they still mix up craft cocktails

This places is a gem in downtown Covina. On of my favorite places to go. The food is delicious and if you are into craft beer they always have a great variety for any taste. Its a great place to go and try out some new beers. They also have some special events to keep an eye out for. The atmosphere is fun. It can get a little loud at night but its always a fun time.
