This is a regular breakfast or lunch stop for us as we travel up and down the Coast. I love their day old bread section. They make amazing breakfast croissants and lunch sandwiches. My son and I love both. They have dining outside and a table inside. They always have fresh coffee and a nice selection of cold drinks. They have amazing breads and other cakes like lemon yogurt bread and chocolate zucchini! Muffins of all kinds and they even make dog treats! I love their buy more and save frequent buyer cards to earn free sandwiches and breads! Nice people and a great business to support! I even stop in for gifts - they put all the ingredients you need to make cookies and other things in a mason jar! Very nice presentation and always tasty!

The quality is just fantastic. We have been getting bread here for years and it is so much better than grocery store bread. Our favorite is the raspberry swirl bread (makes great toast). We also love the cinnamon swirl bread for french toast, the garden herb for sandwiches, the oatmeal applesauce for peanut butter sandwiches, the jalapeno jack for grilled chicken sandwiches. The croissants are the best around and the cranberry bran muffins are tasty and unique. They offer samples too! I love trying new stuff while I pick up our regulars.

I have been going to the House of Bread for several Years and can hardly believe I have not written a review? Fresh Baked Bread is always great, the free samples are always offered and make a great appetizer for lunch. The Sandwiches are custom made, so be patient, and it is always worth it! Small parking area, sometime I have to drive around the block to get parked, but I will be returning often. Oh Yes, get the little card stamped and in a bit you get a bonus loaf!

This is a great neighborhood bakery ! We were on vacation from Palm Springs and I was craving some baked goods. I walked in and was quickly offered a sample of fresh sourdough bread. The lady behind the counter sliced off a huge , thick piece of bread and offered me some butter ! It was delicious ! Im hooked ! We purchased a couple of loaves and we were on our way.

We picked up various breads and pastries on our vacation here in SLO. The lady helping us at the register was unfriendly and the products also werent very good; in fact, i ended up having to toss the zucchini bread in the compost bin, it was that bad. Maybe the plain bread is better, idk, but I personally wont be coming back.

This is simply the best bread out there. The owner started using organic grains when possible way before it was trendy. Fair trade coffee is served. Whats not to love? Every person Ive shared this bread with has become a House Of Bread fanatic and thanks to the day old rack everyone can afford it.

Best bread on the Central Coast! They are always ready with samples and we always make sure to have some of their bread when guests come over. Favourites of ours: raspberry swirl bread, cinnamon swirl bread, cranberry bran muffins (I never thought I would like a bran muffin) and their croissants.

Yummy yummy yummy. This is one of those places where it is perfectly worth it to forget any dieting you may have been trying. I still remember the first time I tried their bread years and years ago. It made such an impression on me that I couldnt stop until I found it the next time I was in town.

bread is tasty, but they have the absolute rudest employees. whenever i ask for my bread to be sliced they roll their eyes and when ever ive asked for a sample Im either dismissed or given the tiniest crumb. I dont even bother any more with this location. worst bakery service ive ever seen.

House of Bread has over the years always sold the best tasting and healthiest bread, rolls, sandwiches, etc. They will gladly take holiday orders and other special orders and requests. Cant think of anything bad about this business!
