I have eaten at this restaurant several times. It is located in this sort of isolated mini shopping area. Food is good. Korean corn tea comes free and your meal is served with a wide variety of delicious kimchees.Service is average. A lot of Asian restaurants dont really have the custom to check with you how your meal is. The second time you see them is when they bring you the check. So dont expect impressive service at this restaurant, however, they are not rude either. They offer lunch at a much more discounted price than dinner. Your dinner could end up costing you twice as much. For example, the BBQ Pork for lunch is around $9 whereas dinner is $18. The most annoying thing here on my last visit was the loud Spanish music they were playing in the kitchen. Apparently there were a few Hispanic workers and they were allowed to play some Mariachi Spanish songs at a volume high enough to make my eating experience uncomfortable. Spanish music at a Korean restaurant? That didnt feel right. I felt I was eating Mexican food that tasted Korean. Anyway, I talked to the waitress about the situation and mentioned that that would be bad for business. Apparently the owners have very little control of that kitchen and workers can do whatever they want. The owners ought to do something about it.

La camarera es muy grosera fui allí y fue muy impaciente y grosera cuando nos íbamos del restaurante la camarera no paraba de decir que le diéramos tips muy mal encerio los cocineros son latinos pero el servicio es muy mal muy grosera asiatica aparte de gastar mucho dinero quieren un porcentaje de los tips están locos no se merecen nada porque no tratan bien a la gente pero la comida esta bien

A decent Korean restaurant in the middle of San Leandro. What I really like about them is that they open until 3pm for lunch, so when I got stuck on a late or meeting or something I can still swing by here for a bite to eat. One thing I like is they serve naeng myun, which is the buckwheat cold noodle. And when they say its cold, theyre not kidding around. Youll see ice cubes floating on the soup. Its so refreshing during hot summer (yall know how hot summer in the East Bay can be). Their other menus are standard korean dishes like bi bim bap, pork bulgogi, etc. Theyre all delicious and served with plenty servings of banchan (side dishes). Love it.

The first thing I noticed was that they dont have an AYCE option here! D: However, they do provide your standard legit Korean fare here in San Leandro, in a corner where there arent many other choices for good Asian food. They have a pretty spacious interior and could seat quite a few guests, although it was fairly calm and quiet when I visited for a late lunch. Prices were fair (lunch specials~) and the banchan typical. The Korean mama running around seemed somewhat stressed and rushed at the time, but maybe she just had something going on that day... otherwise, a great place to grab a bite to eat!

Everything was going wonderful, the chicken entree was delicious and all the sides, up until I ordered the #73 (beans,beef stew, and tofu soup). They gave me seafood soup instead, and so I told the waitress about the misunderstanding. She brought the "right" soup and again it had seafood, and said that I put seafood from the first one. really??? They basically reheated the soup and added 3 pieces of beef. First and last time I am going to this place….

Could have been a language barrier, but upon entering and requesting a seat, the our greeter/server lacked a smile or friendliness. Although she eventually warmed up to my "please and thank yous", I felt the overall experience was not worth the price of the dishes. If youre looking to break your wallet and dont care about niceties, this is the place to go.

This place sucks, they dont have any service, no English and they treat you differently if you are not Korean. they charge table over six people with 18% as tip. When we asked them to refill the small dishes they pretend they dont see us, when I asked them why is 18% for the tip theyre all played dumb that shows dont understand my English...

Food is OK but a bit too pricey for the quality. There are definitely better Korean places on the East Bay, but if you live in San Leandro and dont feel like going up toward North Oakland or Berkeley to get your Korean food fix then Han Dae Gam will do just fine.
