First off, I would like to say that Im not a very picky person when it comes to restaurants like these. Usually, when a place like this has bad service or isnt fairly priced I just brush it off and dont bother with a review. In fact, Ive never had to write a negative review so far. The original perfect burger managed to change that. First off, I would like to mention that I could find nothing positive about this diner, and it was my worst experience so far. Please dont waste your money there. We went inside because my friend wanted a burger and I wanted Chinese; and since they had both, we thought it would be a perfect match. Couldnt be more wrong. As we sat down, we realized the place looked kind of dirty, but brushed it off as we both were starving. When the owner came to take our order, he was pushy and unpolite. While we were ordering, he started scraping off some old food off the floor with a napkin. I feel a bit bad writing this, but his personal hygiene was almost non existent either, he smelled like a hobo. By this point, we were about to leave, but then the food came. The sweet sour chicken I ordered was the size of a 2year old meal; on a tiny plate, the vegetables werent fresh and the chicken was awful. All in all it was 1/5 of a meal, and I was still hungry afterwards. My friends burger on the other hand was a soggy, microwaved, straight out of the freezer burger, and so were the fries. She couldnt eat it after a few bites. We voiced our complaints to the owner, and he was so rude in response. I said that mine was too small, and his response was that "it should be enough for you", and that I could order something else. Are you serious... He then tried to rip us off, charging 22$ for two tiny, inedible meals that were supposed to be 6$ each. Please dont go there, unless you want to have stomach problems afterwards.

This place is amazing and they have EVERYTHING!! Very mom and pop diner in San Francisco with the absolute best food ever!! I have ate at so many places ranging from bad, decent, good, excellent and now this place has brought forth a level of deliciousness that is review!! I have never felt so compelled to write a review before right now. I had the Mongolian beef with veggies over rice and you can tell the cow wasnt dead when they took the meat for my meal. Very fresh meat, tender and juicy! The vegetables were obvious fresh because they didnt have that flash frozen crisp to them but were all very tender and easy to eat even the broccoli and carrots. The second dish ordered was the rack of lamb, mashed potatoes and salad with bread. Ive never used this term and have never enjoyed hearing others use it but it seems very appropriate here and it was AMAZEBALLS!!!!!! The lamb was juicy, tender and sweet that any movie with lambs in it will never be the same again! I will never see another lamb in my life without wondering if it can be as fresh and tasty as what I had today. Also ordered two spring rolls and they were just as good. Everyone should try this place and I cant wait to come back and try other platters!! I will be back at least twice a month!!

I want to do this review because I want to make sure that you will not get scammed as we were. We decided to dine at this place as the Thai place that we love was super booked. My son ordered a double hamburger. Now, any normal place would bring the hamburger with cheese on it and fries. Well, not at this place. For the cheese we got charged an extra dollar. To get fries, that was an extra charge of $3.75. So for a normal double hamburger that would cost $7.95 we were charged $13. I ordered a Kung Pao Chicken with extra veggies. When the food arrived, I was having a hard time finding the chicken, there were only 4 little pieces the size of a penny. For the extra veggies, I was expecting some mushrooms or some broccoli, but all I got were tiny slices of carrots and for that I was charged an extra $2. Absolutely ridiculous! And on top of that, we were charged a mandatory 10% tip. Tip is something that has to be earned, not charged just because...so if you ever go to San Francisco, DONT go to this place, there are so many more great places to eat.

I am staying at the Hilton, Union Square, and didnt feel like one of the Thai/Indian restaurants that abound. I looked online and saw this place, and as it received decent reviews, I went. Staff was nice and place was clean. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and fries. It tasted good and was very hot and fresh. Nothing great, but good. One thing I noticed is that half their menu is Chinese food, and three people that came in while I was there ordered Chinese food. Maybe thats their specialty? (they are Chinese and there is a lot of Chinese decorations).

Food was excellent. We had the Denver Omlet and a blueberry pancake with extra blueberries and whipped cream on top. Great pancake with fresh blueberries. Omlet was made with fresh peppers, tomatoes and onions all hand chopped and nicely cooked. Hand cut potatoes grilled nicely without a lot of grease. Friendly service, happy to make my special pancake. Pricing is lower than other near by restaurants.

First of all, the service was outstanding. The food was almost perfect. Even if the food hadnt been so delicious, I would return to this charming cafe just to be served by the friendly and efficient wait staff. The food was flavorful American style with a Chinese twist. Great place to stop by for a meal before or after going shopping near Union Square.

Everything previously written is pretty much spot on. Think Asian Mom and Pop version, or at least this couples version, of a 50s and 60s greasy diner. Average food (both the American and Chinese), good service, high prices for the quality. And they only take cash (which they dont prominently advertise because apparently everyone knows that).

Food was ok, atmosphere was fine. Service was terrible. I was told, "there are many people hungry" when I asked to exchange a side that was stale. Id highly discourage anyone from eating here. Tons of better places to give your money and to enjoy your dining experience! P.s. Ive learned, if the place is empty, there is a reason!

Food was average and didnt cost much. The service was ok but this isnt a fancy place so expect to drink out of the can. Atmosphere was dead and the only sounds were coming from the Tv which was on behind the counter. But like I said Good food, good value.

A cozy little burger shop that was delicious. A slight bit mom and pop and whole lot of good people watching.

Decent food. Ordered a burger and sweet potato fries. Enjoyable but nothing stellar.
