First time dining at a Korean restaurant so I have nothing to compare to but I thought it was excellent. Went for lunch just to see what Korean food was like. Menu items were moderately priced ($8-$12). Dinner items were in the $18-$26 range. I had the "Kalbi" which was BBQ shortribs. Everyone starts off with an assortment of Kimchee dishes. A little bowl of a simple soup. The main dish came with a good size portion of marinated shortibs with rice and some veggies (carrots, spinach and radish (I think)). Everything was really tastey and I ate everything. The service was efficient. Ill come back another time to try other dishes. I work in the restaurant business so I rounded up and tipped 20% of that.

Korea House is decent. The dolsot bi bim bap is perfect! The menu selection, however, is not. Instead, what youll find is merely the SF-Korean status quo. This means there arent a whole lot of amazing banchan and its certainly not going to blow you away like youll find in SoCal. Korea House has normal prices, but its fairly expensive if you order a la carte. Approximately $20 per meat, with a minimum 2 dish order if you want to self-grill. Kinda pricey when you compare it to the $19.99 all you can eat next door at YakiniQ. The service here is slow because there arent enough servers. Maybe Im hyper-sensitive but they have a sliiight tinge of an attitude

샌프란시스코에 올 때마다 아침 먹으러 꼭 들르는 곳이다. 고려정 사장님도 반갑고, 음식은 한국보다 맛있다. 특히, 아침에 나오는 국밥은 서울역 회사앞의 국밥집보다 훨씬 좋다. 재료도 좋고, 김치도 미국의 다른 한인식당보다 제대로.. 오늘은 백김치까지 서비스로 주셔서 ^^

we had a corporate event for credit suisse here for a bunch of the analysts that were leaving the firm. we reserved the private room at the korea house, which is owned by the same person who owns new korea house. there were 25 of us and we ordered up a storm - kalbi, tofu chigae, bbq mushroom, chicken, chap chae, dumplings, etc. and tons and tons of soju. it was the best. weve since had a number of parties / events here and everytime its been a hit.

Been eating here for more than 10 years. Been to S Korea a few times too. Not as good as youd find in Korea or LA for that matter. But the Pan Chan is tasty. I eat there quite often when Im in the neighborhood & feel like spending some money on a good Korean meal This location is not as good as when it was upstairs, a couple of doors down. But the soups, BBQ & tofu are very good as is the Kim Chee. The shoju is also well selected & tasty.

Omg, this is the best Korean food ive ever had anywhere. I have not been to Korea itself though, but i cant imagine it can be much better than this. We randomly ran into this place, and was in for a huge surprise. The place is family run, and has been in business for 50 years. The homemade kimchi they served were so good i couldnt stop eating. Their bibimbap was also really really good. A must go place.

2016년5월20일 어렵게 찾아서 갔는데 마지막 날이라 갈비와 되장찌게를 시켰는데 갈비는 무진장 질기고 된장찌게는 너무짜서 거의 먹지못함. 마지막날 맛있게 먹을려다. 망쳤습니다.

Get 딱만두 국, the pork was a little tough, but it was our fault I thought the Kalbi was delicious (ask for garlic and mix it with some of the red sauce in a lettuce leaf). It also seemed hard to cook it wrong. The pork, on the there hand, was difficult to make right. We made it a bit tough, probably should err on the less cooked side of things.

Very good authentic Korean food at reasonable price. Were from OC in SoCal and have a lot of choices there. My wife is Korean so we eat it all the time. This place is comparable to best places we enjoy at home.

This is one of the original Korean restaurants in San Francisco. No frills but great side dishes (one of the few places that serve "white kimchee"). I think it opens for breakfast as well.

The food wasnt very memorable. The vibe is extremely casual - think a casual family restaurant in the suburbs, not a hip young urban restaurant. The service was both attentive and nice.
