If you go here, have the ravioli! Actually, you can make your way through the entire menu, but the ravioli is the best. I keep trying to have other things, but it just isnt possible (except for the gnocchi with truffle oil... mmm) The owner works the front of the house with his wife, and they are so nice and genuine. It feels like they welcome you into their home when you go to Manzoni! Its a great neighborhood place for weekday and weekend dinners -- and even worth the trip into Glen Park!

Tasty food, quiet cozy atmosphere - Im particularly fond of their salads, and the fettuccine is splendid. Service is a little rough around the edges but friendly. I find that we tend to spend about $30-40 a head for a good but not gluttonous dinner with a glass of wine. The owner is a fixture in the neighborhood - hes also run the little coffee shop across the way for decades.

I love the intimate ambiance, the diligent attentiveness of the owner, the friendly and accommodating staff, and (above all) the truly delicious food. My favorites are the involtini de melanzani (sp.??), salad, and vegetarian entrees/pasta. Manzoni is truly a neighborhood gem with a first-class kitchen and wonderful staff.

Get the Gnocchi. Manzoni is definitely a local gem in my neighborhood. My only critique is that its pricey & I had 3 courses and was still hungry. Maybe Im just a fatty, though.
