I cant say enough about what a fanastic experience I had here. The food was unbelievably delicious, and the service was amazing. Ive never been somewhere that everyone at the table loved what they ordered. The pasta is so fresh and Ive never had such great service. I was a bit confused with the menu because there were so many great options, but our server was so helpful to ask what we liked and made excellent recommendations for our meal and wine pairings. We thought the evening had reached its peak with our entrees, until we had dessert. NO MATTER HOW FULL YOU ARE, GET DESSERT!!! We had the chocolate cheesecake, (which shouldnt be called cheesecake because it isnt like a traditional cheesecake its so much more!), the panna cotta with fruit (which I expected to dislike because I am a chocolate fan but it turned out to be my favorite), the creme brulee (absolutely delightful), and the chocolate mousse (which was rich and fantastic with just a hint of heat). I cant say enough about this restaurant. I will be back again and again!

My husband and I discovered this a amazing authentic Italian restaurant a few years ago. I hadnt had the pleasure of enjoying Italian food for the 25 years I have eaten gluten free. I have a great intolerance to even small amounts of gluten. Here at Basilicos, the owner, a native of Italy, is himself celiac as well as a chef extraordinaire. The first meal I ever had here was G F. Spinach Ravioli! Comes with a side of GF Italian bread with a delicious spread. My husband is a foodie and a vinophile...this is also his number one choice in olympia. (He eats from the extensive non GF menu.) You must eat here.

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here and it was spectacular. I have been gluten free for about three years now and the offer a large selection of gluten free pasta. It had been so long since I have been able to have Italian food and this was very good. They have an entire gluten free menu including apps, mains and desserts. I had fettuccine with beef and pork ragu and my wife had spinach ravioli in brown butter...both gluten free, both delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for an anniversary. Will be our new favorite place for special occasions!

Went on Valentines day. First surprise was they doubled the prices shrank the menu into only a couple choices and then charge 60 bucks a person. my rating is solely on the food, the staff was excellent and the atmosphere was nice but the food sucked. If it was 15 bucks a plate it wouldnt have been that bad but the portions are small on all four courses and not anywhere close to being worth $60 a Person. There is no way Id ever go back and pay another 140 dollars after tax for two people for that quality of food ever again.

What a wonderful experince!!! The service was informed and friendly. They brought out extra polenta when we ran out and gave us extra mozzarella in our leftover containers to enjoy tomorrow! Also, their gluten free menu was the largest and best Ive ever seen, they make most of the pasta and food there and really respect that people with Celiac are concerned about cross contamination. Most of all - I have never had a dessert as good as their Tartufo Classico.

I had a reservation here, for my first visit, with an out of state guest. They couldnt make it, and my assistant forgot to cancel. I just got a call from them and apologized that we forgot, and they were extremely rude. "You had a 7 oclock reservation and youre just telling me at 7:20. Have a great evening. Bye." Well, guess Ill never be trying them.

Outstanding food, pleasant atmosphere and an interested and hands-on proprietor--a wonderful experience. My wife and I just visited for the first time and well certainly be back. Its moderately pricey, but well worth it for the quality of food and service. If youre looking for a nice Italian place to take a date, you would be hard-pressed to do better.

I love this restaurant. Always my first choice for date night. The owner and and his wife are fantastic. The food is to die for. If you have every traveled to Italy this will take you back there. The wine pairing is wonderful, too. I have recommended this restaurant to several friends and they all love it. I cannot give enough praise for this place.

Went here for my anniversary and it was SO appropriate and prefect for the occasion. Excellent food, omg the tomato soup was creamy and incredible. Service was very friendly: full water glasses, extra butter, cheese, pepper no problem. A little pricey for an average guy like me, but great for a special trip. Definitely go!

Basilico is a classy, quiant restaurant. The menu is well balanced between pastas and proteins. The owners are very meticulous and go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy yourself. If you want authentic Italian food with great service, Basilico is the best place to go in the Olympia, Tumwater, Lacey area.

I was brought to this restaurant for my Birthday. It was an amazing experience. They made me feel so special. The details, flavors and presentation that went into the all of my 5 courses, was incredible. Every bite felt like a 5 star restaurant. I cant wait to go back.

Finally an Italian restaurant out in the north west worth writing about. Service was very prompt and made great recommendations. Food was delicious and perfect timing between dishes. Will defiantly be going back to enjoy a nice fresh Italian meal

I recommend the extra dry cardboard lasagna! Also you must have the spaghetti O ciopinno that was assuredly opened from the family sized can that day!! This dinner was do freshly prepared snd tasteful that it doesnt deserve a star!!!
