My wife and I approached the Boudin bakery and cafe in Stonestown a little before ten on Sunday morning. No less than 5 people were at the front door including the manager. We were not greeted with a " good morning" " hello" "hi" or any other nicety one might expect. After a few uncomfortable stares, the manager curtly said, "were closed, not open until, 10:00. With many other options for us to choose from at the shopping center, would it have killed you to serve a couple cups of coffee before the witching hour ? Its always easier to keep a customer than to gain a new one. La Baguette, gained two new customers today with a 180 degree difference in customer service that we experienced from the manager at Boudin. p.s. I was forced to give one star to submit this review.

I ordered take out and youre supposed to ask if I need a bag. I cant remember this particular day but I always say yes when I know I need a bag. The lady who brought out my food made me stand back in line to pay 10 cent because of your own staff incompetent that I ended up not having paid for a bag on my receipt. Almost every store would have given the bag without hesitation. I didnt have cash that day so I paid with my credit card for 10 cents. Great customer service. Give yourself a pat on the back! I slammed the receipt down and grabbed my food. I will remember to order online next time to avoid the trouble.

Soup not correct texture. Is thick like pudding but not from quality ingredients, merely from filler (flour or cornstarch). Too hot. Caesar salad tasty. But croutons need be cooked in garlic and salad need more dressing. French bread rubbery, stale, no sourdough flavor or texture. Gross. But chocolate chip cookie good!

The best food in the mall. Located on the lower level in a corner under the escalator, this is easy to miss, but worth the hunt. There are a few booths in the back of the store and cafe seating out front around the escalator. The food is of the same quality as all Boudins.

The butternut squash soup here is very addicting. The service is quick. Its a great place to go for lunch. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant. There is also spill over right outside in the mall. Needless to say, the sourdough bread keeps me going back.

Good fresh delicious food served by cheerful people who seek to love their jobs. You cant lose. Great quick little lunch spot. 7 years and never been let down by the pastrami sand which.

I liked it. Clam chowder in bread bowl and Caesar salad only $11 with tax. Fast friendly svc. Lots of places to sit. Bread wasnt crunchy or sour; This is sf, home of sourdough. Come on!!!

Theres seating inside and out in the mall area. The menu is simple. Usually I get a salad or clam chowder. Other times in picking up a loaf of sour dough bread.
