We have gone a few times while traveling in Oceanside San Diego. The food was good! Shakes are very very yummy, but gave me gas. Maybe they have carrageenan? Idk, but they hurt my tummy like milk does. :( The buffalo wings are a MUST! Sooo yummy! Big Zac ROCKS! The mushroom burgers tasted a bit flat and dry, needed more flavor. I am not big on salt, but it needed more seasoning. The staff was super friendly! Yet, the charge of $1.00 for a tiny, simple slice of lettuce and tomato on my kids burgers... Pretty rediculous. Their excuse was that most kids dont eat them, so they ommit it. My response was "my entire family is vegan and my kids are used to eating veggies." Great food, prices are a bit hight in my opinion, but I understand it can take more money to be eco friendly... Or someone is trying to make a buck off ethics... The company seems good. I love its overall ethics and how it got started! But charging for a tiny sliver of lettuce on a kids burger at a VEGAN joint, where most people eat veggies? Unethical. My suggestion: make the simple lettuce and tomato an option at no charge. This way, unwanted food is not wasted and of those kids whom are actually vegan, are also satisfied. My daughter said we should have just gone and gotten a vegan veggie bean burrito... lol that would have costed only $2.50 for her. Plant Power prices make us able to visit only sometimes. If the prices were better, wed go everytime we "splurged" on fast food. Total for a family of 5 approx= $60 at Plant Power Fats food. Total in vegan bean/veggie burritos elsewhere approx= $14 While the qualtiy of Plant Power food beats the veggie burrito any day, its just not reasonable to spend $60 on FAST FOOD. Were paying for good ethics and good food at Plant Power Fast Food, which is great! I would rather go there than another eatery, but the prices make it impossible for us to do so. If youre single, then its a great place! But for a family... Unfortunately, no. Love the people. Love the ethical company. Food is pretty good. Prices are not "fastfood" prices. Prices are more for an eat-in restaurant, not a "fast food" joint. While we may be able to afford eating there once or twice a week, its just not reasonable to spend that much on "fast food". Plus, we dont eat fast-food often, only when we are out and about. So I wrote all this not to detour you from going, please try the food, sooo good! just be aware of the prices! My hope is maybe for the company to change certain policies that would help them in the long run. Like simple fixings of a normal burger on a kids burger and maybe adjusting the prices so non-vegan peoples will be attracted. It was packed, so idk if that will be an issue. Well return, but not very soon and not as often as wed like. 3stars overall. Id give 5, if it werent for the shake issue and price of lettuce/tomato on an already bland burger. Cheers! Hope this corrective criticism helps, I dont wish to ail anyone.

I really wanted to like Plant Power, I think we all do. So maybe my hopes were too high. Still, I like them and am very stoked to have access to this place. Plus, they have shakes! And smoothies :) But for me, Im into quality all around. I was hoping to see condiments a la In n Out Burger. Its probably just economies of scale. SO, when they can afford to give us fat slices of tomato, healthy amounts of lettuce, sliced onions, and this is critical: special sauce--Ill be stoked. I mean a good sauce made Bobs Big Boy the best burger in the 70s. All you need is home made 1,000 Island. And the chocolate shake is solid for being vegan. There is a bit of a processed/flavored feel to it, kinda like McDonalds shakes, but I loved those growing up. Service was mixed--like they think youre lucky youre eating here. Thats cool, but then make the vibe rad--just replacing the #s with names over the PA was an improvement. Hell, maybe I should open up my own place?! So Ill stop and just say "Rock on, Plant Power!" Keep it coming, and when its possible, PLEASE hook us up with some quality condimentia. Well keep coming.

Checked out this place on a Saturday afternoon. Must say I LOVE IT!! Everything is vegan!!! As soon as you walk in, you see these iPad ordering things, they are there if you dont want to wait in line..cool. Well we just ordered at the counter since it was our first time. Ordered the Holy Guacamole" burger ($7.25) with black bean patty and regular fries ($2.50). The best black bean patty Ive had!! love the spicy-ness of the guac inside the burger. The size of the burger is just right, the amount of fries you get are great. DELISH!!! They have a self-serve area for napkins, forks, spoons, ketchup, mustard and water, etc... Your order# will be announced over the mic. Overall we waited about 10 minutes or so for our order...not too bad. Once your oder # is called you pick it up at the counter. We sat in the outdoor patio area to enjoy the nice weather. The patio has lots of plants and a waterfall ball fountain. Restrooms are located in the outside of the building and you do need a code to get in. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Attention fellow carnivores - we can be healthy(ish) now, kinda. As a carnivore, I was skeptical of this place, but its right down the street from me, and I like to consider myself open minded, so I gave it a shot. I ordered the Classic "burger"**** with a black bean patty. Outstanding. All the usual vegetables, plus a veggie patty and impostor "cheese". They definitely use better vegetables than the J-Box across the street. In fact, I usually hate pickles, but the ones on this "burger" were delightful. Im not even sure how that works. The only thing I disliked were the sweet potato medallions. Most of the batch were a bit soggy, like fries, but it didnt work. There were a few in the batch that were crunchy like chips... they should all be crunchy, because the crunchy ones were perfection incarnate. I mean, Im not about to give up meat altogether for this place, but you know what? If I had to, places like this make it seem bearable. ****"Vegans" put the names of "meat" substitutes in "quotes". I "learned" this "today".

the last couple times we went there the orders were messed up and the smoothie was runny. we order for pick up since their iPads werent set up outside yet. they forgot one side of fries and gave us a bbq sandwich instead of a kids bbq chicken wrap like we ordered. didnt check the receipt or bags until we got home and due to high traffic wasnt going to drive back. should have realized that my total should have been a lot less since it was supposed to be a kids meal but I didnt think about it. The food is good though but the people working there definitely to pay more attention to detail.

After we spent a day at Sea World, we went here for dinner and it was so tasty! We both are vegan but I would recommend this place to everyone. It was pretty crowded when we went to dinner here. The service was friendly and quick and the menu was big. My husband got one of the burgers with fries and I got the southwest wrap. I got the colesaw side, I didnt like it very much so I would probably get a different side next time. We also shared a mocha milkshake and we are still talking about how that milkshake was so good. I hope they make their way to North Carolina!
