Its definitely the best option for Japanese food in San Bruno, but I was expecting fresher fish and better sushi given what i read on their website. We went in for the omakase and on the upside, we got it one piece at a time instead all at once. On the downside, they served it so fast it was like speed eating. I think it was about 12 pieces in 10 mins. Ill go back on a different date to see if the quality of fish is any better and hopefully they can slow it down.

A very solid 3-star sushi restaurant, bordering on 4, by virtue of being probably one of the best sushi options in the area. The fish was quite fresh, and there were solid specials flown in fresh from Tsukiji, Japan. Their short ribs were also quite delicious. The staff were all very friendly, and the interior decor was simple but charming.

Absolutely amazing hidden gem. The staff is extremely attentive. I mentioned to my wife that I was going to ask for more ginger, and the waitress brought it upon hearing me tell my wife. Great sake selection. The namatako was absolutely amazing. I will definitely make this a regular place to eat.

Great ambience, really good fish. Expensive as you pay for what you get but whatever you order its fresh and the best money can buy. Been there 4 times and each time its been great. Awesome service is the cherry on top. Gets busy on weekends but weekdays you can walk in and get a table.

A little bit pricey for the overall quality of the food, presentation and interior decor. They are 85% there in terms of the attention to details but fell just short of that last mile to be really considered fine dining. $200+ for 2, you can get better quality elsewhere.

Tip: The White Board specials of imported fish rival almost any restaurant in the Bay Area. Order omekase to leave the selection up to the Chef or simply choose your own Tsukuji adventure. The variety of roe (ikura) preparations and the desserts are a treat as well.

Ive driven by this place more times than I could count. Now that Ive eaten here I wish I could say, Ive eaten here more times than I could count, becuase the food was truly amazing. Even the meso soup was memorable, and Omakase is a must! Truly a hidden gem!!

This sushi restaurant is always good and has become our favorite places to go to when we are craving anything sushi. The staff is always very friendly and polite. If you have the chance, try sitting at the sushi bar as well. You wont regret coming here!

Fish was very fresh and tasty, but sushi rice was cold and not very tasty. They had limited choice of fish. Service was very slow. Only one sushi chef was working hard, but not other two. It is not worth for the high price.

Surprising to find such high quality sushi in this part of the bay area. The fish is fresh and nicely presented. My only disappointment was that we ordered four orders of the o-doro nigiri only to be told they were all out.

This is the place to check out. Unassuming from the outside, Ginteis delectable menu will convince you to come back. The combination will overpower your tastebuds. Savor each bite, because it will be over all too soon.

Great sushi quality. Fresh and not your normal California roll and miso soup place. This is real omakase place. Order the 10 pieces omakase and the ice cream is fantastic. Service a bit slow but worth it

Sushi rice was not right but its pretty good decent but pricey. Sushi is still better in Vancouver and for the same price you can feed 2. Good sake selection and knowledgeable staff.

Slightly pricey but excellent sushi. Arrive a couple minutes early to allow time to find street parking (which should be available within a block or two).

Omakase was good, everything else on the menu was great. Try the shishito pepper tempura, and dont miss the hot nyumen noodles to finish your meal.

Very fresh Japanese sashimi here. I didnt use to like tuna but the tuna sashimi through chef gave me was really good and I loved it.
