This a smaller, darker more intimate midtown pub that four of us tried for lunch after attending the Golden One open house last Saturday. The place was filled. We enjoyed beers, duck confit fries & duck sandwich. Their menu was very limited. The featured burger was missing a few described garnishes like avocado. The Shepards pie was more of a ground meat sauce over mashed potatoes that could have used more seasoning. But to be fair, the joint recently opened and is still improving. Ill be back to try it again sometime when Im in the area. Warm friendly service.

Small inside, but nice outdoor space. Drinks were less expensive than expected based outward appearances. Convenient to be right across from the Golden One Center. The cocktail was just ok and the bar service was less than stellar. The bar tender barely spoke and just looked like he did not want to be there. You should never feel intimidated to order a drink or feel that its not ok to ask questions about selection (particularly when its not busy).

The downtown is definitely kicking it up a notch. The Malt and Mash is a nice addition to all the other new places that are opening. Irish music paired with a modern upscale decor, makes this one trendy place. Flat screens are visible from any seat. The beer selection is as good as your going to get anywhere downtown. ( excluding burgers and brew) I had a really nice time here, and I am sure you will to.

Good selection, good happy hour and pretzel was good. But, services was poor and its not a place for food. Meet up for drinks before dinner but not really somewhere I would spend an evening. Its good but they need to decide what they are because the setting is lounge like so they could offer more.

Ok service, not very authentic, but good selection generally. Ive never had any issues but have been told that the service is not particularly friendly for women. Does not keep consistent hours.

Put kimchee on our burger (not part of the menu description) and did nothing to fix it. Didnt offer to replace the food or anything else to fix the problem.

Undercooked fish had me throwing up all night and had to leave the kings game early due to being sick . How do you mess up fish and chips ? Wont go back

The food and beer are great, the atmosphere is very comfortable, and you can have a leisurely chat with the friendly bartenders. I LOVE this place!

New Bar that has opened up just across the street from the Golden 1 Center. Try out the Irish Coffee for that little kick!
