This used to be a great place to go with family, friends and coworkers. When Rock Bottom was bought out by Craftworks is when things started to go bad. But at least it was tolerable. Great beer recipes were replaced with ok ones and great menu items were removed and replaced with pretty bad alternatives. Occasionally theyll being back an old beer or menu item, but its not the same. Lately the service has got pretty bad. I dont blame the servers as much as management. They spread the servers out to thin to adequately take care of their customers. The result is going from an almost instant interaction once you sit down to waiting 5 to 10 minutes. A lot of the time we have to place a drink order at the bar ourselves. The kitchen also hasnt been getting orders correct. Either getting the order completely wrong or it coming out under or over cooked. Sometimes the managers are in the kitchen preparing meals. I used to be a frequent visitor. Anywhere from 2 to 3 days a week. All day happy hour on Wednesday was the best deal around and the restaurant was always packed. Now its deserted on those days. Fridays used to always be packed. Standing room only in the bar and 45+ minute wait for the seating area. Now you can easily get a place to sit. They should take this as a clue. Management really needs to take a hard look at how the business was run four or five years ago and take note. Sometimes change isnt better. In this case, change ruined this place.

Rock Bottom is a favorite with Campbell locals and a well known name. Beer selection is decent as is the food but its over popularized at this point. The restaurant is almost always packed and parking is usually bad in the Prune Yard due to the density of stores and restaurants in the area. Prices are good as is service. Food is pretty typical burgers and steak kind of choices that are decent but not especially memorable. Beer selection is good and they have some quality beers on draft but if looking for a wide beer selection there are more compelling options. I would go here again and recommend the restaurant but the caveat of wait time and parking logistics on a peak night is definitely worth mentioning.

The food here is in too bad although their selection of appetizers is pretty pathetic. But one thing you have to watch out for is there misleading ads they send you through your email. Theyll entice you to come to the restaurant only to find out that the promo they have going on (had you read the fine fine print on your cell phone with your X-ray vision), you would have realized that it only applies between 11 and 2 p.m... It just really pisses me off too have an expectation of something only to find out I didnt read some fine print when its sent through the email and youre likely going to read it on your phone where its nearly impossible to see.

Its Rocktoberfest, sausages in everything! rotating dark beers. Got the Rocktoberfest pretzel burger and the mini brats. The burger was good, but fairly slidy on the bun (hard/messy to eat). The brats were similarly awkward to eat, making me look like I was a T Rex attempting finger foods. There was mustard everywhere. Joined their rock bottom mug club and registered online via QR code before the bill came and it applied a $10 discount to the meal. It looks like they have a good rotation of beers on tap, and I thought their Pleasure Porter was tasty (though didnt catch all the flavors in the description). Id come back.

We ate there on a Monday night, Dec 1, 2008, My husband was pleased as a menu item he used to get in Denver (pasta with artichokes) was available. I didnt have such a great experience. I ordered a hickory burger - med well. How hard can that be? First time the burger came - pink in the middle. So I sent it back and ate the fries. 2nd time the burger came out, same.So I sent it back again. Third time it was DONE! Yay. The waitperson actually waited while I cut it in half to see how well it was cooked. I have to admit, it was delicious when I finally got it. But three burgers later? Not acceptable.

The environment upon arrival is very intoxicating. The homey feel that draws you in not too over lit yet now too low . Our hostess was very kind an seated us at an decent booth. Our initial server was another story. Ashley I believe her name was . I suppose Ashley was having a bad day judging the expression on her face. I feel it should not have taken us 45 minutes and the request of another server to get our food . I never even received my refill until we were about ready to go. I liked this place but wish I had started with the other server in the first place .

Me and my friends come here quite often. Every time seems to be a great time. There might be a hiccup or two, but nothing that isnt manageable. Today a friend and I ordered Brewery nachos. This is a favorite dish that we normally get, however today it was subpar. I dont know if theyre skimping in the kitchen or if it was inadvertently ordered as a half border. Regardless, we let our server know and he corrected it immediately. Always a good time here. Good food. Good beer. And if my team wins, always a great game.

Beers are not as good as the once were. Service has declined in quality. Probably wont go back... disappointed in latest visit- some food was cold, waiter was pretty inattentive. RB used to be such a good place to go for hockey/beers etc. Just went again for first time in quite a while. Disappointing. Menus were filthy, service was very slow. Serving size of kids pasta was so small they should be embarrassed to even serve it.

The food was good. (Aside from the mediocre fries). HOWEVER, the service was kinda bad. The host placed us right by the front door when there were clearly other booths available. THEN, when they served us our food, there were NO utensils for us to eat them with. I had to flag someone down for some. I ask myself, "Self, does that deserve a tip?" Anyhow. Food was great, but the service match the restaurant name.

My experience here was kind of weird. It was so busy that our group couldnt even sit together because the wait would have been really long. The food was fantastic the beer choices were great. Besides this super popularity of this place it was a great experience. even the parking lot was so full bl that we had to park so far away. That was the biggest sign of how popular this place is.

This used to be our old standby whenever we couldnt figure out where to go for dinner, but its gone way downhill. The brown ale is no longer available, and the last night we were there we were told the onion rings were discontinued! At a brewery! Our bill was incorrect, the service was poor, and the unique items on the menu have been replaced with me-too items.

Good and fun happy hour spot. Dinner not so much, but we always do the happy hour so no big deal. Great beer selection with some nice appetizers and even a late night happy hour that most places cant beat. Spent many evenings here after SJSU concerts!!! :-) It is true, has decreased in quality slightly over the years, but still a solid spot.
