The restaurant is alright, nothing great. There are a lot of great eateries nearby, but this was one of the two halal restaurants within the vicinity of Monterey Park. We ordered fried duck, pan fried noodles with lamb, and steamed beef dumplings. The gravy with the pan fried noodles was a little too salty and thick for my tastes. The beef dumplings were pretty good. Would recommend this only if youre looking for halal food, otherwise theres a ton of other options to choose from.

I suspect that theyre mostly in business because of non-Chinese clientele. The last time I came here for lunch the customers were about 60% non-Chinese. Food quality and quantity have decreased over the years. Its a shame too, the food here used to be pretty good. It feels like its hanging on by a thread these days; tables, chairs, dishes and teapots all look and feel like they were last updated in the 1990s.

TASTY, HALAL and AUTHENTIC food! Everything here is freshly made at a reasonable price. Try their flat bread and their orange chicken and soup. Nothing tastes bad here. China Islamic is not only a great place for halal food but great for anyone looking for a good wholesome chinese food that wont make you feel hungry 20 minutes after your meal like most chinese generic food does.

Really good Chinese food with a kick! Parking is a little cramped and service may not be the best but the quality of the food made it all well worth it. Check out their lunch specials, for $6-8 you can get an entree (with generous portions), an egg roll, lots of rice and, if you dine in, soup. Sure beats the heck out of Panda Express any day.

Food was VERY oily, pricey and the customer service is EXTREMELY POOR and arrogant. I was so disappointed that I did not tip left. Can you believe the waiter ran behind me while I was exiting in my car and stopped me to ask why I didnt tip? Will not go there again unless they get rid of that idiot arrogant male waiter of theirs

The food is so so. We came here looking for curry lamb we fell in love with in SF. But the lamb here was orange as compared to yellow and saltier. The service wasnt terribly great. The head madam seemed to be bored beyond belief. Its a bit far for me to visit again but Id rather drive all the way up to SF Instead.

The best Chinese restaurant u can eat at. Great quality food with very good price. We order Kung bao chicken and magnolian beef and shrimp with lobster sous. And 3 rice soup and sesame bread . Everything was great

Very bad food, no salt in anything, they turned off the AC before we were done eating so it was hot. Service was ok, but they charged $24 in service charge and they definitely did not deserve that much.
