Love coming here with family. It does get crowded so a reservation is a must. Although we were the once without a reservation and waited for about 1 hr and while we waited a party of 15 that had a reservation arrived and was told that they would have to wait just like everyone else because there was a lot of people waiting. That is why I am giving them 4 starts instead of 5. I would of been so mad if that would of happened to me. But the food is very good. Our family favorite are the slippery shrimp. The green beans are also delicious. They have Thai tea that is super yummy. Cant go wrong with anything that you order. The staff could be friendlier though. And this location is less busy than the LA one thats for sure.

Went with friends to Pasadena this evening and decided to do check out the Pasadena location of one of my favorite restaurants, Yang Chow. I had been to the one in Chinatown a few times and absolutely loved the food (especially the Slippery Shrimp!). I can say that the food and service were just as good at the Pasadena restaurant as what I remember from my visits to LA. The Szechuan Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Slippery Shrimp, Lo Mein and Fried Rice were all fantastic and everyone in our party was delighted.

The Best family style Chinese food in Pasadena. The one in Chinatown is the same except the Lakers can from time to time be seen there. Wonderful service and the price is so low compared to other places. I couldnt possibly recommend this place any more. GET THE MOO SHU! I have never had a bad thing here. Best leftovers ever (if you pick up that is)

When in the area...this is a must! Slippery shrimp is always what we order....shrimp fried rice....green beans with minced pork....egg drop soup and fried shrimp for appetizer....they are all 5 stars. Thank you yang chow for always giving us a good experience. Prices are a bit high but this is gourmet Chinese food....its worth it

Awful customer service at this time of day (between 2 -3 pm) waited for 15 to 20 mins with no offer to be seated with no other customers in line. Sat for a long time in a nearly empty place and the server walked by several times withput taking my order. I finally got up and left.

We have been driving all the way to China Town to the famous sister restaurant until we realized there was one on Colorado 10 minutes from our house. The food is amazing the service is very attentive. We will not be driving to LA any longer.
