Stick with me for a second because I have a story to tell. My wife and I needed our wedding catered and REALLY wanted a taqueria to come to my dads house and make the food fresh there. Its harder than one would think. We found a place in Hayward with a similar name to this place. We drove from SF to Hayward to try it out. It wasnt bad. It wasnt great though but we figured they could do it. We called Jorge. He seemed confused when I told him we had eaten at his Hayward location as he didnt have one. He told us we should come out to Pleasant Hill and try out his food. We did. Were very glad we did. At first we went in without letting Jorge know just so we could get the experience that everybody gets when they come. We were impressed. The chips and salsa bar was excellent. Homemade chips and salsa go a long way in my book and tell you a lot about how the management wants to present themselves. It should. Its typically the first thing you eat. When we got our food we knew we had found our caterers. The tacos were great. The chile relleno was fresh and tasty. The rice and beans were delicious. We then introduced ourselves to Jorge who was polite and NICE. He asked us what we had and then proceeded to fill in the blanks of the things on the menu we didnt order. We loved every bit of it. After reserving their services for our wedding we went home really excited about what was to come. On the day of our wedding Jorge arrived promptly at the time he had promised (maybe even earlier) with Samuél. They setup and starting making the food while we were at the wedding ceremony. When our guest arrived for the wedding Jorge was ready to go. With two grills and two tables full of food they made sure there was not a shortage of food. They moved quickly to avoid a line up so no one was waiting too long to get their fill. The food was better than I remember. They did the most amazing job at making the food for our special day memorable in the best way possible. Everyone thought so and made sure we knew they loved the food. My dad who is a hard person to please food wise went back for thirds. The carnitas, the al pastor, the carne asada and the pollo asado were all just great. The rellenos disappeared. I remember seeing them and then they were gone. They were replaced and then they were gone again. I am pretty sure someone was stealing trays and selling them out in front of my dads house. Both guys did a great job and were just so polite and nice to our guests. We cant wait to have another party so we can have them cater it. Seriously. Thanks again! We are so grateful we found you guys!

The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was actually halfway decent, but basically average. What set the tone was that they, a Mexican restaurant, did not have horchata. I should have walked out at that moment but unfortunately I was really hungry. The restaurant was crowded, stuffy, and ugly to look at. The menu was confusing and the food portions were awful. I ordered a veggie plate and it was just that: a huge amount of bell pepper, tomato and onion with barely any beans, sour cream, rice and guacamole to balance it out. I was half out of beans from just the first tortilla. I am never going back to this place

Very bad service, food is amazing but the cashier needs to get his brain together. He gave me wrong the order number, wrong food and wrong everything I had to wait for 45 min for six tacos. When the order was on the to go area setting there for 30 min and after they figured it out the wanted us to ate the cold and sage food they didnt even offer to make the order again. Plus the crazy ladys there trying to convece us that it was our mistake for been waiting for that long. Seriously worst expirence ever plus the workes very rude and unprofessional....

We used them to cater our party of 30 - they were FANTASTIC! I ordered the taco bar and it included 3 different kinds of meat, rice, beans, tortillas, chips, cilantro, lime, onions, radishes and 3 different salsas. We picked it up on time and set it up for our party. What a hit! People loved being able to help themselves to as many tacos Mexicana as they could eat. The food stayed fresh for hours and was a VERY good value. We will absolutely be using them again for our next party!

I didnt like the fact the the website says they have a special "Monday -Thursday special 10 inch burrito for $4.50" and when I get there the gentleman tells me that the tortilla is 10 inches before they roll it up to about 5-6 inches... this is nearly half the burrito I was expecting. And after the disbutting this with him he insisted that it was still correct and my order came up out of sequence order as it became ready and still wasnt correct.

I cant understand this place getting any negative feedback...THEY ARE THE GREATEST! The food is always EXCELLENT & the service friendly. I have been to two of their locations - Clayton Road & Pleasant Hill and both are good. I usually eat at the Pleasant Hill location because it is open later. Try these guys out - you will not be disappointed!

We come hear weekly and love the food. We have tried the tacos, tamales, and enchiladas. Im a huge fan of the mango salsa. They also have really good breakfast burritos! Its true that they are crazy busy on taco Tuesday but I think thats a testament to how good the food is. Theyre still quick service even when theyre busy

The female Cashier took the wrong order and charged the card. I am not really going to complain anything. But she just keep blaming is the customers fault and not stopping arguing in front of all the customers. Never said sorry and refuse to end the "conversation". Is this how you treat customers? Really?

We have contracted with Taqueria Los Gallos for the past four years to serve 350 plus guests on each occasion. Their food is delicious and the owner and his staff are the best. They come early and stay late keeping everyone happy. Thank you and God Bless

Huuuge chimichanga that was pretty nice. Wasnt greasy, but was still nice. And gotta love free tortilla chips and their salsa bar. Of course, you have to purchase something at least $ or more. A bit farther from my other location, but worth trying out.

We love the shrimp burritos, vegetarian burritos with spinach tortilla, and the green avocado salsa. This is one of our go to take out spots. Super friendly and always on point.

Burritos are excellent and so are the Tostada de Ceviche. Best Mexican in Contra Costa County. Open at 7 am closes late night so you can feed the urges all day long.
