Authentic Mexican food, which is hard to find in the westside, and friendly service makes this place unique. The asada was not dry like other restaurants Ive visited. The carnitas were cooked to perfection and the fat gives it that unique flavor. I hate places where they cook or trim the fat out. Their tortillas are handmade which is great. The only drawback is parking. You will have a hard time finding a parking space nearby. Also, be ready to wait, there is usually a long line unless you stop by before they close.

If you are craving a delicious carnitas taco on a freshly prepared corn tortilla, this is the place for you. They also serve lengua, buche, cabeza de chivo. Be sure to ask about that last item in case they dont serve it. Plus you will find chile, guacamole and nopales for your tacos too. Ive lived in East L.A. all my life and ive been going to eat here for almost 5 years. You wont be disappointed.

I wouldve given it 5 stars but due to the fact that the manager of Los 5 Puntos is an A Hole Ill just give 3 because when I went last month there was a homeless man whom I bought food for and the manager came and kicked him out even though he wasnt begging or bothering any one, but other than that the employees were friendly and helpful with me so Ill have pity on them just for that.

We stopped going. The place changed. It doesnt feel homey anymore. I felt like corporate America swallowed the place. Food is o.k., portions were reduced and of course prices went up. Now is just another Mexican joint. Now I dont recommend this place to my friends. I dont think the original owner will be happy with the changes.

This is my favorite spots for tacos! There is plenty of options but I think the carnitas are the best! The salsas are very delicious too. The line moves fairly quickly because the staff works really hard to get you in and out. You can also buy yourself a lottery ticket too! And I believe the tortillas are hand made too :)

I dont know what the fuzz is about. I had been trying to visit this place for a while. We drove from orange, ca to give it a try. Ordered tacos de carnita and tripas and tamales. Everything was under seasoned, bland and just blah, including the horchata. Just my personal view based on balanced flavors.

Not a fan of super thick corn tortillas but my other friend thinks they had the best tortilla. Buche (pork stomach) was delicious, some of the best well seasonsed buche i have had. Tripas (pork small intestine) was some of the worst ive had. Also the the nopales (cactus) overpowered the taco a bit.

Besides the fact that I live right next to it, it is an amazing place not only with the authentic Mexican food but also a variety of spices available to bye , drinks and including an assortment of beers. If you ever stop by look for Monica and you will get the best service you deserve.

Authentic!!!!! Dont believe the hype of other places that sell Mexican American stuff that doesnt really taste good this is the real deal ... Straight up the best burrito I have ever had tribal habanero sauce it is to die for and dont forget to add guacamole to anything

It is a bit hectic but the prices are good and the food is good, although I ordered a rice and beans burrito and they gave me a bean and cheese burrito ! I dont eat cheese. But other than that I hear its a good to order to go, too hectic to eat there

One of my favorite places for tasty authentic mexican tacos. The carnitas super loaded taco on a handmade corn tortilla with guacamole and "nopalitos" are my fav! The habanero sauce is spicy, so i go easy. Great service & good price for a combo meal.

You get to see your tortillas being made by hand in front of you. The meat can be a little dry later in the day so get there early. Great food, services, and freshly made condiments. This place just needs a dining room.

Probably the best tacos in East Los Angeles. Large Hand Made corn tortillas are made to order and the meats are stuffed into that tortilla, then either mild or hot Habanero chili for an awesome taco experience.
