The most delicious Chinese bakery Ive been. The gai zai bang (mixed but biscuit?) is flavorful and the texture is phenomenal! The price is excellent, we snuck away with 3 pineapple buns, 5 wintermelon wife cookies, and a packet of mixed nut biscuits for ~$6! The entrance can deter those who dont know what theyre looking for. The outer windows and walls seemed to be under construction or closed! We almost left but were saved by people walking in and out.

Let me say this. Of all the Chinatown bakeries, this one is definitely livelier and cheaper than most. No matter what time of the day you come, youre guaranteed to walk away with your childhood favorites. By comparison to others, theyre around .40-.65 cheaper for the same item elsewhere. I got a red bean pastry 1.20 and taro cookie 1.10 both were freshly bag.

I was quoted five cupcakes for a school bake sale. When I arrived to pick up the 50 cupcakes I was charged 65 cent each cupcake. Knowing I was obviously in a bind I had no choice but to purchase the cupcakes and arrive half an hour late to the sell. Really sucks because we will not be able to raise enough money with these prices.

By far, the best bakery we could find in Oakland area. Delicious egg tarts, taro and corn breads are heavenly and inexpensive. Dont over buy them, or youll never get to finish them all. The store front is unbearable nasty and invisible from drive by. Nonetheless, its a must if youre hungry and need something delicious!

I love that the entrance feels like an old school bank. Their pasteurized are top notch. I love the almond stick and the custard pastries. Service is usually quick.

We went to this place seeing the high ratings. Had a almond taro and a sesame bun. You are basically eating dry dough. Very disappointing n waste of money
