There are a few around but this Caspers Hot Dogs is the best of them IMO. It always has people hovering around. One can easily and quickly pre-coat their stomach before going to Oakland dive bars! Of course, post-drinking is where its at - though its also good for sober eating. I had it two nights in a row once, yep. This Caspers Hot Dogs is parked right in front of a Bank. Two guys usually man the cart, operating out of a van. Cant really miss the van, but the aroma will also lead you to it.

The hot dogs were excellent although a bit pricey. I got the Casper dog, chili dog, and chili. The location seems pretty dated though and looks like it has never gotten at least a refresh. Its a great spot if youre craving a good hot dog but I cant say that it calls me to come back after seeing the inside.

Stopped by to check this place out. We liked the variety but I dont think they had different options for the actual hot dog itself (ex: turkey or veggie). The staff was super friendly and informative. Well be back!
