Its always fresh (no fishy smell or taste) and practically melts in your mouth its so tender. I would highly recommend the caterpillar rolls (eel wrapped in avocado), the sushi combo, the Yakitori, and even the California rolls (best Ive ever had—they add capelin roe, which makes them extra tasty). It is a bit pricey. Its a great place to go for a special occasion, but you dont have to dress up. For those who have said that the service is slow unless youre Japanese, this is simply untrue. Good fresh sushi takes time and the owner does most of the preparation himself. Just because they dont cook it, doesnt mean its fast. The owner is very friendly and didnt seem to be going extra slowly because we werent Japanese. Bottom Line: I would highly recommend Harada to anyone looking for good sushi.

Service was definitely a bit weird and hours are hard to find. I believe theyre open daily for lunch AND dinner? We went for lunch on a Sunday and it wasnt busy. All their fish is from the west coast and everything was very delicious. We sat at the bar and the chef was very personable. We will definitely be back.

Atmosphere compliments menu very well. Staff were friendly and promptly attended to my requests. Ordered Sushi/Sashimi combination recommended by chef and was so pleased by the presentation as well as the flavors. Highly recommend to all. Go a little early to beat the crowds and enjoy the quite ambiance.

They can be very good but I had two bad experiences in a row. The worst was when I got funky salmon sashimi and tried to send it back. I have salmon sashimi at least once a month so i wasnt being picky. They argued with me and that was another of many things that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Massive portions here. I ordered an item from the menu and they brought out so many dishes I had to ask the waiter if there was some sort of mistake. He brought out another and told me not to worry, it was the last one. I wasnt able to finish it, and it was reasonably priced.

Amazing, quality fish. This was the first place I ever tried sushi at, and thankful to this place I have been a sushi lover ever since. Served by some very Japanese chefs, they cut the fish thick and it was fresh. It will cost you but its well worth it!

Tried after reading good reviews here. Disappointed completly. Tried 9 different dishes with friends, one was descent, two were edible, and six utterly bad bad bad. Service slow and forgetfull, prices completly unjustified. Skip it in my book.

My second visit was just as amazing as the first. The seafood always tastes fresh. Portions are not very large, but I really believe the quality of the seafood makes up for the quantity. The caterpillar roll never disappoints!

Great atmosphere in downtown Morro Bay. They have a full sushi bar and you can watch them make your food right there! Not only was the food great but I enjoyed the experience. Check out their Google Virtual Tour before you go.

Its not a every week place because you want leave without pending $200 for two people. I took my wife here for her birthday. It was a smash. We both got the samurai platter. It was quiet and wonderful.

We were the first patrons for the evening. The tea and the soup was just warm, the salad was not to our expectations and the meal was absolutely not worth $100.00. To say the lest we were disappointed.
