I went into Sushi Kokku the other day, and I was just wanting to buy a small Coke. The young woman at the counter said to me, "here, dont worry about it." She gave me a free cup of soda on the house. It was a hot day that day and I just wanted something refreshing. I was more than willing to pay for it, but she absolutely made my day by showing me her kindness in giving. I dont know her name, but I thank her dearly for her gift. It was best Coca-Cola I think I ever had! Thank you! :)

I am blown away by the reviews on here. After eating this food I came back to the page to check the reviews thinking, "I should have read the reviews first." Blow away by the GREAT reviews because I found the food seriously lacking in flavor. Japanese food is known to have great and powerful flavors, this just didnt. Very, VERY bland and disappointing. Portions were pretty good and price was just right. However, even with that, I will never go back. It was that bad.

So bad! Ive never been so unsatisfied by a sushi place. I cant even call it a restaurant. Seeing such high stars in the place my husband and i were excited to go. Everything from seating, layout, atmosphere felt like a fast food joint. Everything was bland, and left our stomachs feeling "weird". The raw fish wasnt even cold. (This might just be me, BUT) There werent any Japanese staff members just fyi. Dont go here IHOP would have even been better

Service is horrible, the cashier was rude. The food was just mediocre and lack of variety. I guess you get what you pay for. Its cheap but not good. Wouldnt recommend, I prefer to pay a little more for better sushi and service.

We were visiting SLO and decided to try this place... it did not disappoint! The sushi was delicious and the service was great! She even gave us an on the house grilled teriyaki salmon. Perfect for a quick bite to eat!

Nothing can beat Kokkus Crazy Roll! Everything else is amazing and fresh. Servers go out of their way to make it a great experience. My favorite in San Luis Obispo!
