Service was normal. We were sat and our order taken quickly and the miso soup was bomb so thats the only reason they got 3 stars. Some background here: I usually give out 5 stars as a default. Im the most not picky eater in the world. If its food, I like it 9/10 times. However, the roll tasted like dirt. Not figuratively, literally like soil. I had 2 other people at my table try it to see if I was just being a little princess and they spit it out and agreed. So, instead I tried my husbands teriyaki chicken....to my surprise it was flavorless. No salt, no spices, no pepper nothing. Again, had 3 other people try it besides myself and they decided it was flavorless as well. Nobody ate it. So, still having a little hope for lunch I thought at least you cant mess up rice - right? Even if its messed up I could douse it in some soy sauce and be golden. I try the rice. The other people tried the rice. We stopped mid chew, spat it out in our napkin and just laughed. How do you mess up rice?? Lolol It was soggy, too much water I think. Some of the random edemames were good, some were soggy, every bit was like playing russian roulette. How do edemames get soggy?? Lolol But hey, the Soporo was good!! We wont be back and dont recommend it, but the server was super sweet! PS we paid for everything as they still had to put the work in to make it, even though everything only had a couple bites to try it. Then we got jamba juice lol

This was ok, not great, not bad, just ok. The sushi has tons of rice added. I have been to other sushi restaurants in Utah, and the sushi is well balanced, not too much rice, and enough fish to make it tasty. The sushi in Mikado just has way too much rice, like they are trying to fill their customers up with rice and save their fish. I had to cut off some rice, to taste the scarce filling. They seem to have too much crab filling, its in almost every single roll. There are other types of fish out there, there does not seem to have much of variety as far as NOT using crab meat. I was hoping to see sushi rolls rolled with cucumber, but I did not see ANY on the menu. I ordered a Roll with Philadelphia cheese, the roll hardly had any. I have eaten delicious rolls with chunky bits of smoked salmon in the past, the salmon here is crumbled. They spicy tuna is good, but like I said the meat is crumbled, there is not chewiness n the bite, no texture to the fish, which makes it disappointing. The tempura rolls are good, I will give them that. I came here on my birthday, hoping to enjoy, it was ok. I will go elsewhere for more sophisticated and creative rolls.

this place is good if you like to eat sushi a lot we eat here a few times a month. it is inexpensive compared to some places in the area but the quality isnt as good as some of those place. quality is still good. it is way better then the other cheap spots around. rolls are really good and so is all the stuff that is off the regular menu i.e tempura , appetizers, soup, teriyaki. it all seems fresh and is cooked well. hand rolls are all good salmon sushi always seems to be fresh. great for the price stay away from the yellowtail

Everything is delicious -and they have a very creative sushi menu! Every single roll that I have devoured has been absolutely delicious. Summary: Excellent quality. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Not a Tiny place, Plenty of parking. Go with the specials. I will definitely be back :-)

You really can not beat the prices! Order any 2 items off the yellow menu and you hit the 15 dollar minimum to get 50% off the rolls. I usually get 3 different types of rolls and its less than 21 bucks. My wife and I stuffed ourselves with 2 of the most expensive rolls they had, modified one which cost a little extra, got soda and the bill was $22 bucks. Cant beat that! Not for the quality of the food! Definitely come give this place your business, they deserve it.

They overcharged me for two other orders that were not mine. I have tried contacting the owner multiple times regarding my over charge and all I keep on getting is a runaround. Beware do not pay with a credit card they go to little credit card crazy sweeping and sweeping and they do not like to give refunds for things that you did not order or eat. And to top that my order wasnt that great I give the food a 4 out of the 10.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The prices are amazing and everything tastes looks and tastes like it is straight out of a magazine! I moved 5 hours away almost a year ago and I finally got to eat here last night with my best friend and our kids (this is also my 6 year old daughters favorite restaurant as well!). The staff and sushi chefs are all very friendly and the decor is very inviting. I cant wait to eat there again!

The food was good and I was glad to see the gentlemen making and handling the rolls were wearing gloves. I was very disappointed in the service. We waited a long time before anyone came to our table. Not because they were busy. 3 of them stood around talking and often looking over at us. We were talking about leaving when a waitress finally came over. The food was good but we didnt feel welcome eating there.

Good service and a great environment and the sushi was out of this world unfortunately my girlfriend found a large piece of wrapper in her salad, she choked on this thinking it was lettuce and I had to cut a hole in her throat using a piece of leftover tempura shrimp. Once she was able to breathe I grabbed a handful of wasabi and rubbed it into the waitresss eyes for disrespecting me and my ancestors.

I think I found my new sushi spot at Mikado! After trying Sake sushi or something at the mall and Naked fish in Slo. (Neither were great for the price and didnt have a good menu.) One of the best rolls has to be the Ocean tiger roll! Yummm! The 50% off is a great deal! Three rolls for $22. The service sucked though, for only being 6 tables and at least 3 waiters. But man the rolls were good.

Sushi is good. But if you go on alone, expect to be ignored. To the owner Id like to say that despite the fact that your waitresses made eye contact with me, they passed me up to serve other patrons. One of this other patrons arrived 15 minutes after me and was already having their order taken. I left and spent my money at "cocos Mexico" Im sure you know it, its right next to you.
