Of the times Ive been here, its never been really full, so it makes this enormous space feel like a bit of overkill. However, one can never have too many seats when the food is great & the price is right. It has several different types of seating areas, from couch-like seats against the walls, to booth seats, regular tables, & my favorite, these comfy sofa chairs where you can sit and have some coffee or tea, and enjoy a pastry from their impressive bakery. I originally came here during the IE Restaurant Week, when they were featuring a Tequila Chicken Sandwich, which is an enormous- and enormously delicious- work of art made with tequila citrus glaze, avocado & grilled corn salsa, roasted Anaheim chile, chipotle & cilantro aioli, arugula, & cotija cheese on ciabatta bread. Yes, it is as messy as it sounds, but it may be THE best sandwich youve ever had. Oh, and did I mention its only available during the Inland Empire Restaurant Week? Yeah, well have to petition them to make this bad boy a permanent item on their menu. If youre not fortunate enough to ever taste that bad boy, though, never fear. Although I have never been a fan of heavy bar food, this fare knocks all others out of the park. For starters, you HAVE to try their Burger of the Month- regardless of what month it is. They are unique, and often over-the-top burger concoctions, invented not by genius chefs, but by average everyday geniuses like you & me. Just grab one of the slips of paper on your table, which are packed with options you can check off to create the craziest, most delicious burger your mad-scientist little mind can think up. If yours gets chosen, not only will it be featured as their burger of the month, but youll get a sweet little shout-out on their menu for being such a creative mastermind. Julys smorgasbord of flavor was made up by Darlene Abril (shout-out!) and was called "The Woogie-" a Brisket-blend patty with Swiss cheese, pickled jalapenos, red onions, dill pickles, coleslaw, shoestring potatoes, & chipotle BBQ sauce on a Brioche bun. It was a-freakin-mazing! Thats just to give you an idea of what to expect. Oh, & forget about boring old french fries. Here, they are serving up some of the best garlic fries Ive ever had the privilege to taste. They call them "garlicky fries," and they come served with crushed garlic & herbs, & three different types of dipping sauces, my favorites being the Bleu Cheese Garlic Aioli & the Chipotle sauce. Theyre also known for their amazing Croughnuts- which vary in flavors from Original, to SMores, to Cappuccino, & Apple Cinnamon- & high end pastries, cakes, & truffles that come in a variety of decadent flavors. They run out early on in the day, though, so get there early if you want some of that heaven. They also have these adorable little Strawberry Cheesecake domes, and Truffle Cake Pops that are definitely worth trying. And to top it off, the coffee: They are serving up some of the most delicious coffee shakes, teas, and espressos this side of LA by using Coffee Klatch coffee to infuse all of their creations. And really, who doesnt love a good Cappuccino Shake or Mexican Mocha. Of course, theres a large booze menu, too, if thats more up your alley. And dont forget to check in on Yelp for some of that scrumptious Maple Bacon Popcorn! Its free.

I live for sweets, I love cupcakes, I love donuts, cookies, specialty desserts and hidden treasures, the whole nine yards. You cut me and Im bleeding sugar, its that serious! My wife and I will literally travel miles for a memorable sweet treat without giving it a second thought so when Groupon said there was a Cronut maker in Claremont, we were there! A 20 mile drive for fried croissants filled with love was just the type of morning we were looking forward to... But that soon would change. I ordered an assortment of pastries with mini cronuts among the bunch and was sorely underwhelmed. They were ok but "ok" was not the kind of reaction New Yorkers were giving after they consumed their version. I heard words like "speechless" and "phenomenal" "best thing Ive ever eaten" not ah it was ok but that was just the type of reaction my family and I had after trying Dolces version. It was pretty much a soft cannoli...that was it. Nothing special. The cream was ordinary and lacking something memorable like....umm... flavor thats it. The gigantic Mexican wedding cookie was chalky and the fruit filling used for the Danish made me think they opted for raspberry kool-aid instead of real raspberries when making it. Very artificial. I wasnt blown away by the cake pops either. My co-worker makes better cake pops and shes a soccer mom, not a professional pastry chef. Heres what really did it for me! I would have given them 3 stars but their coffee was terrible! Not something that you would expect from a place that calls themselves a drinkery and gourmet bakery. Mc Donalds has better coffee...freaking Mc Donalds and their Mc Cafe section. Thats just sheer buffoonery at its finest. Maybe the food is better but I guess well never know because I wont be making that trip back anytime soon, Im sorry. Maybe if you are close you can stop in or something but for foodies like us, dont waste your time or gas money, 7 eleven has better coffee and dare I say a better Danish. Im sorry...

If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would. Food #1: Steak Au Poivre :: The Steak Au Poivre was so incredibly salty it was inedible. We eat out a lot -- and we enjoy salty food. For us to say the steak was too salty to eat means it was really too salty to eat. After two bites we send the dish back and ask the waitress to exchange it for a ham & cheese panini. The panini was good enough. At least it was edible. Food #2: Coq Au Vin :: The Coq Au Vin was a tasty dish and I enjoyed it, but calling it Coq Au Vin is a huge stretch. The Coq Au Vin consisted of two pounded, breaded & pan fried chicken breasts served over a thin vegetable stew. (I wonder if the cook - I mean chef - has ever had Coq Au Vin?) Service: The waitress was efficient and accommodating. The management or ownership of Dolce, however, was not accommodating or even interested in establishing a return customer. Important Side Note: We were charged $20 for a dish we didnt eat - the Steak Au Poive. The manager refused to remove it from the bill - even though we returned it after two bites! TIP: Save your money - do not go to this restaurant. At the very least read the one star reviews on yelp before wasting your hard earned money at this place. If you like French food, I mean REAL French food, try Le Bistro on Foothill. Not only is the food outstanding, but the owners actually comes by to see if everything is acceptable to you.

I was extremely happy with our server. I wish I could remember his name, he was very pleasant and informative of the menu. The cook Robert was very nice to come out and greet us and ask if everything was to our liking, big points for me on that one. I had the Lamb chops and while my brother tried a saffron style chicken that I would of never ordered but found very tasty. Very clean bathroom and a mellow atmosphere. Im not much a dessert guy but the girlfriend made me try something sweet and I was glad I did. I had some cake and thought of it more flavorful than sweet, which I greatly appreciated and enjoyed. The cakes Ive experienced from eateries are just an overload of sweet and than flavor. So I decided to take home some cookies as well and enjoyed them. I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit to Dolce. I will definitely be returning with my family.
