All the years I could have gone here but I didnt.... now I have to make it up for it. Best New York Style Pizza Ive had besides Three Guys Pies (because its the same owner). I dont know what it is but they have a thing for opening in asian food store shopping malls. This one is located in the same plaza as Mekong Market, right next to the plaza where Pho Kim Long is. Its not a terribly big restaurant but they have a couple of tables, minimal bar seating, and some outside tables. The restaurant is decked out in New York everything which is cool because it feels like I stepped into another world, makes you almost forget youre in California. The people here are very friendly, I had fun talking to them while watching the pizzas being made. I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THEIR MARGHERITA PIZZA. If I had to commit to one pizza forever, this one could be the one. It is a large slice of heaven. Very heavy on the garlic but thats how I like it. The tomatoes are juicy and full of flavor, they add a slight sweetness to the pizza. Just everything about this pizza is perfection. I also got the Long Island and that was good too. They were pretty generous with the chicken and pesto. The garlic knots are also worth getting! The star of the garlic knot dish is the sauce. That marinara sauce is addicting and signature to Colosseum. The pizzas come in two sizes either a 14" for $20 or for $24 you can get the 18". The 14" is enough to feed two people with some leftovers depending on how you eat. I have nothing but love and high praises for Colosseum and I will most definitely be back.

Came here for their "70s Night" Pizza party and specials: $12 large pepperoni pizza and two $2 cannolis later, I left a very very happy camper. The only negative about this place is how far they are away from me!! I wish they had a location either closer or that they were able to deliver to Sunnyvale. That being said... This is the BEST New York style pizza I have had in Northern California. It made me remember what a good slice is supposed to taste like, and I am SO glad that their event brought my attention to coming here, because this will forever be my go-to when I am looking for a delicious pizza. I had also never eaten a cannoli before, but due to the reviews being so good, I decided that I had to try one. We ordered their chocolate and regular ones. I was obsessed with the chocolate one. It is dipped in chocolate, so it has a crunch chocolate shell that really pops the flavor out. Overall, an awesome place. Its in a pretty random location, but that gives it even more charm I suppose. I will absolutely be back, and hopefully one day they will expand out to Sunnyvale. A girl can dream, right? :)

My husband grew up in Brooklyn in the 60s and 70s and didnt move west until 1986. Colosseum pizza was like a blast from the past, reminding him of the best pizza he used to have growing up in Brooklyn and enjoying the best pizza throughout the New York area. He considers himself a true pizza aficionado and is always on the lookout for the "real thing". Close family friends strongly recommended Colosseum Pizza---and we felt that we had to check it out after a 49ers game last fall. What a great surprise!! Dino treated us to both Neopolitan and Sicilian pizza. It was clear that he uses the best ingredients: top rate Olive Oil, real and fresh Mozzarella cheese---and he kneads the dough in the manner one would expect from the best pizza. Just perfect!! If you are looking for New York City style pizza, look no further. This is the place. Lloyd & Denise--- visiting from Spokane, Washington

This is an excellent New York-style pizza shop, with the man making the pies being a NYC native with a very thick NYC accent! Im from Boston originally, and this is the the best pizza (most authentic to my roots) pizza I have had in California - and most likely the best Ive had outside of New England. I havent been back to N.E. in years, so I cant fairly compare to anything back in MA or NY. My GF and I ordered a medium cheese w/ green-peppers, mushrooms, and onions (my staple/favorite pizza). I thought it was excellent; and my girlfriend who doesnt usually like pizza had two slices! The crust was great, and I ate each slice in its entirety. The balance between sauce, cheese and toppings was just right. This was an great experience that took me back to the days of my youth. I highly recommend this great classic pizza shop.

Pretty pricey, but it is QUALITY pizza. We got a margarita with sausage and garlic knots. It took a while, but it was because it was cooked fresh to order. Even the marinera sauce was like homemade, although Im not too sure if it was. Thin pizza that surprisingly fills you up. The slices here are large too, which is a big plus. Instead of bogging you down lime cheap pizza, it makes you feel full but still fresh. The ingredients were very fresh and the manager, Darwin, was awesome. Very genuine and funny. Makes you feel right at home. In a small little nook by some Asian restaurants and markets, this place will surprise you with flavor and satisfaction.

Definitely the best New York style pizza Ive found in the area so far. The crust reminds me of the pizza Ive had back in NY, and it does not disappoint. Their stromboli is pretty good, but I much prefer their calzones. Both the original and the steak calzones were delicious. Their pricing for a full pie is cheap compared to some of the other places in the area. It seems like its a family owned restaurant, and the staff is very laid back and lighthearted. Very nice people. Ive ordered delivery, and while it sometimes takes long, its one of the few places that actually delivers to my apartment complex. I strongly recommend this place.

This place is great. If you are a pizza lover Colosseum Pizza might be for you. The pies here dont rely on exotic toppings or try to be gourmet. They simply do what pizza does best. Flavorful sauce, high quality cheese, and fresh toppings define the pizza here. The pizza definitely has a New York style, it is thin, foldable and greasy. The owners and service is very reminiscent of years gone by, when business was more personal. I recommend getting the larger size as the pieces are bigger and easier to fold while eating. Im glad I found this place I just wish I had stopped by to try it out sooner.

I grew up in NJ and was spoiled by the quality pizza you could find there and in NYC. Then I moved to Virginia and had my soul crushed with how bad the pizza was there. I move again to CA and the first place I tried was Colosseum. It may also be the last one I try, because I dont think I will be going anywhere else. This is truly NY pizza, and I couldnt be more delighted. It probably helps when the owner is an Italian originally from Brooklyn and knows what real pizza is. Dont be fooled by other places claiming to be NY style pizza. This one is the real deal.
