When this place opened 3+ years ago in my neighborhood, this place was a revelation in terms of combining the Chipotle build a meal concept with fast great tasting pizza with nigh unlimited toppings. With that soon came the crazy crowds (I waited in line for 45+ min once, never again). Since then, copycats like Blaze, Mod sprung up and offered similar quality. I used to be a regular at Pieology during its first few years, but since grew apart; the crowds were a big factor. After my last visit in Dec 2016; I dont think Ill ever be coming back on my own accord - the pizza I got was soggy vs the preferred crispy slightly burnt crunchy crust of yesteryear, and seemed much smaller than the pizzas of previous years. I went at a low traffic time around 3pm to avoid the crowds, perhaps the oven was just not hot enough to save energy. However, this was not the first time; my previous visits to Pieology in 2015-16 hinted at the lack of quality control compared to the 1st year or or so. So, sorry Carl and Michael Chang, as an ABC who grew up in So Cal in the 80s who got into tennis because of you, and was rooting for your pizza venture to have long lasting success, I cannot support this particular Pieology store anymore. Maybe the ones in So Cal are still good (like almost everything food related, the Bay Areas offerings suffer in comparison).

This place is always busy. You basically build your own pizza and goose from a good selection of vegetables and meat. Their ingredients are fresh and they are not too stingy. Overall you get a really solid and great tasting pizza. My main issue here is that they keep mixing up orders. I keep getting the wrong pizza. Another pizza they forget to slice. And another one they burned. When they made the burned one new, it took forever as they didnt prioritize it. When t gets busy, they seem very slow bring out the freshly baked pizza to your table and therefore I got several times a semi cold pizza here. Overall great pizza but the place is a huge mess. Wont coke back to this location.

Pielogy Pizzeria = Pizza version of Chipotle! Its super packed so expect a line when you go here. The wait averages to about 20-30 minutes. It works like a chipotle, you tell them what you want on your pizza and then they bake it and the next thing you know you have your own custom pizza! The great thing is that you can get anything you want!!! Unlimited meats, sauces, veggies :D It really is your own custom pizza and I was very happy with mine :) I think for $7.95 youre getting a pretty good deal, the pizza is pretty big and youre getting unlimited toppings essentially. Its a thin crust pizza, so if you dont like that then dont go here.

If you love customizing your pizzas, this is the place to go. Love the pesto sauce with garlic, basil added. The staff is very courteous and listen to your any specific customization requests Edit: my experience during the latest visit 2 weeks back was absolutely horrible. The staff was very unprofessional and messed up my order. I am vegetarian and was given a wrong order of non veg pizza. Moreover the staff had no courtesy to say sorry and was so casual in asking me to order again. Highly doubt if I am ever coming back to this location again. Reducing the 5 star rating down to 2 star

Pieology is really great if you want options and if you want to customize your pizza to your liking. The inside reminds me of what Chipotle looks like (even the logo is reminiscent of the burrito chain) with its steel chairs and clean look. You can add as much of the ingredients as you want with no extra charge (very affordable) and they fast fire it in their oven while you wait. Sometimes its hit or miss with how they cook the pizza due to the thin crust. Ive gotten burnt pizzas more than once before because they had it in the oven too long. But when they get it right, its worth it!

Chipotle-style build-your-own pizza! Kramer was on to something. This place has a good selection of toppings, and I really liked that you could get unlimited toppings for the same price. The wait time from building the pizza to actually getting it was much shorter than I was expecting, so that was a pleasant surprise. The pizza itself was quite tasty. It had a thin crust that was crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside. The staff was helpful and courteous, and the pricing was excellent. I will definitely be going back.

This store is like subway or chipotle but for pizzas. You can choose one of their signature pizzas or build your own one (recommended), either way its very delicious. You can put as many toppings on your custom pizza as you want what makes this store pretty good when it comes to the price. Have been here 4 times so far and its simply heaven and Ill come back for sure. Only negative aspect to mention is that during busy times you might have to wait pretty long to finally get your pizza but its worth waiting.

Went here way more than I expected. I like the concept, thought its gonna be pretty pricey but the price is actually very decent if not say cheap compare to other place. Pizza portion is enough for probably 2 skinny people to share. Customize my own pizza, I can add whatever I want and extra everything for the same price! (~$8) Too good to be true. Explains the long line all the time. Seriously have nothing bad to say. The wait for the pizza to be done isnt even long.

This place is absolutely amazing! Think Chipotle but with pizza. Theres a long counter full of ingredients that you can choose from to adorn your pizza. They throw it in the oven for about ten minutes and serve it to your table. Im not sure who gets the credit, them or me, but my pizza was super delicious. A single pizza is more than sufficient for a hungry person, but may be a bit too much for many people. Luckily, they offer to-go boxes for leftovers.

This is a fun custom place for pizza. For 7.95 you go to the counter and add as many toppings as you want! Choose from a couple base sauces then add mushrooms, onions, bacon, jalapenos, pepperoni, sausage, cheese, etc! Then they bake it for you which takes around 10 min or so. The flavor of the crust could be better, but I like that its thin and that its baked fresh. Overall for the price, portion, and concept I really like this place.

My favorite pizza in town :) they have a ingredient bar to choose from that the staff assembles your pizza from. The crusts are thin and they cook in a stone oven so its very fast. They also have beer, salad, and a desert pizza but nothing much else. Tip: Ask for the pesto sauce on your pizza! They have been out of ingredients 2x and their oven has been down 1x which is the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars.

As much as I love Pieology pizza because of their gluten-free and dairy-free options, I have to give this particular location only one star rating because of their slow service. This is the second time I have placed my order online for pick up and both times my order was not ready when I arrived for pickup. Today, I placed my order more than 45 minutes ago and its still not ready. Im still waiting for my order...
