5 stars to counter the less stellar reviews, as this place is a gem. The brunch is a classic affair with plenty of options, with views of a tranquil pond/lagoon. Awesome, professional service that was friendly but not too inquisitive. We came late, and it does seem they serve brunch quite late... which is good for those couples that like to celebrate the morning in their own way, in their own time. =) My benedict was awesome, they didnt hesitate when I asked to sub fries for potatoes... I know I know. Not so healthy. But its a benedict. come on. The fruit plate was divine... all beauitfully arranged in season fruit. My wifes scrambled eggs and polenta was excellent. I always order a wee bit too much when I try a new place... their cup of the minestrone was delicious, traditional -- fantastic. Their lunch / dinner menus are excellent as well, as is the bar. This place has become quite the little spot for us. =) Management, service, kitchen - its the whole package that will soon enter Marins "go to" book. Marin Joes, Buckeye Roadhouse, and Piatti. =) One of the best bloody marys I have had in awhile. Actually two of the best, and the mimosa was obviously fresh OJ. Afterwards, we took a hike around Richardson Bay and ended up doing a 6 mile adventure.... so dont hesitate to load up at brunch, because the bay trail is right out the back door and you can work it off.

Atmosphere. Beautiful views. Nicely appointed setup. Very good food. Outstanding service. A bit timeless in a way. Has an "older" (not that Im young) but classy clientele that gives the place a modern 1970s feel that reminds me of my pop and friends. I cant really explain it but Piatti has a personality thats cool for all age groups. I love the food here. It never grows old or goes wrong. Theyre consistent. I have had most everything on the menu as I also frequent Piatti for business lunches. Kids are welcome here too and treated with respect + they have food for kids - the basics - pastas, pizza, etc. My 8 year old son always loves going here and even sometimes request dinner at Piatti. The bar and side room are nice. On cold days, they have a fireplace. On warm days, theres the outside patio on the water with great views. Parking is generally easy but if nothings available, theres valet. Its really not that expensive either. This is in my top 5 of Marin favorites. Im not sure if you can tell but I kinda like Piatti.

Alles tip top.

We were at a private lunch upstairs, celebrating a 90th birthday, and had a marvelous time. The waiters/bartenders were wonderful. Polished and professional, yet friendly and personable. The room was very nice and the view spectacular. The food was delicious. Great salad, entres were great and desert was very good. Only criticism is the room was very loud and very warm. Neither of those really mattered because we all had a wonderful time.

This is one of the few "nice" restaurants that is very kid friendly. The food is done well but not particularly inspiring, with regularly changing specials. They have a full bar as well as specialty cocktails, and a pretty good wine selection focusing on local wines along with a small Italian selection. The service is excellent and the view is a great accompaniment to a consistently enjoyable experience.

Great location with a surprising lovely view overlooking the marsh. It gets more beautiful as the sun sets and the lights come on to reflect off the water. Its a good atmosphere, but unfortunately we have found the food to be average everytime we go. Thats not to say the food is bad, just not as upscale a taste as you would imagine from the decor and prices.

Another place I like, small menu, but the food is pretty good. The chicken pot pie is my favorite, but they only serve them for lunch. Id love for them to add it to the dinner menu, especially during the cold months. Apparently the evening cook doesnt do them, Ive asked many of times. Ive been here more than 30 times and counting as well.

We stopped here after our reservation at another place was cancelled unexpectedly. It was a pleasant surprise just a couple blocks from our hotel. The stand outs were the Goat cheese app, Spinach-Ricotta Ravioli and grilled pork chop. We also ordered the half chicken which was pretty good but over cooked. Nice place wed try again.

This is very hit and miss - Ive had some great meals and dreadful meals here. The last time it seemed very rushed and the pizza wasnt up to their usual standard. Its a major hangout for snooty Marin types so be prepared. It does have a great view if they decide not to put you right next to the kitchen, where its both noisy and hot.

Very good food and very accommodating! We booked their Fireplace Room for our Wedding Reception on January 8, 2016 and it was perfect. Great atmosphere and price as well for all of the food and drinks. Would highly recommend for an intimate and romantic option for any reception or any party. They offer other rooms as well.

The risotto lacked salt and seasoning, was bland and watery (not creamy), and my waiter disagreed with my opinion that my salmon was not cooked to my satisfaction - it was in fact dry and burnt to a crisp. Altogether a complete disappointment. The San Antonio Piatti location has it together. This spot does NOT.

Cute Italian restaurant although I felt really rushed through my dinner when eating here. I was pleased with the swift service, but it was so speedy that I felt somewhat unwelcome and certainly not relaxed in conversation. They have some gluten-free options but their selection could use some variety.

Lovely ambiance, great service, great views of the water. Delicious pizza, good bread. Free valet parking. Personally the spaghetti didnt impress me much, but had a bite of the chicken which was delicious!

Food is consistently good. Excellent Salads and pastas. The pizza was good if you eat in the restaurant. Taking it to go the pizza gets rubbery within about 10 minutes of being in the box.

Asked twice for plain spaghetti and tomato sauce, and twice they brought meat sauce. Manager was nice about it and promised to make sauce fresh. Had the Pizza last time, and it was good.

I went there for brunch on a Sunday and loved it! Great view from the window seat, and the egg benedict was just the way I like it. Also easy to find!
