We checked out of the twin pines casino and we were looking forward to a nice enjoyable breakfast at this cowpoke cafe. We walked in and of course it was crowded! There was a table in the very back near the front door and there was a table up front. We wanted to sit at the table towards the front and the waitress told us that we could sit there for now, but if another party came in with more people, we would be moved in the middle of our meal. Wow, what great customer service. We left after we were told such a thing. We ended up at the coffee shop on Cobb.

Their food is tasty and dependable. My wife particularly loves their breakfast plates. The service can be a bit slow, so dont come if you insist on "fast food". I personally find the constant (and often loud) TV screens to detract from the dining experience, but that may just be me. I *DO* wish that, seeing as how were in the worst drought in living memory, someone there would put a stop to the literal hosing down of their outdoor patio. Cmon people, use a leaf blower like the rest of us. Recommended.

Thought I would give this place another try after bad experience last year with poor service. Has not changed. Walked in and place was half full and again only ONE SERVER for entire restaurant. Sat for twenty five at which time I had to get up and announce Im here!!!!!! Again waited 35 minutes for food to arrive and even longer for the bill. Its unfortunate this town has a few restaurants but now its Calistoga for lunch

Its an example of how a restaurant develops with time, constantly re-inventing itself. Their Grill choices are always good. Food quality varies from visit to visit and one can stick to the Sandwiches if you are not looking for too much experimentation. Try their omelettes, Steak burgers, Stroganoff, Fish&Chips, the usual morning stuff you want.

Great service, outdoor seating and great food. Big portions do bring an appetite. Cowboy atmosphere brings cute character. Its a beautiful indoor dining experience as well. The main waitress is extremely efficient and provides outstanding service and her ink is to die for :0)

love the new decor ESP outdoor patio but food is heart-stopping NOT subtle; absurdly HUGE portions. when you want good basic roadside diner breakfast it can be very good but take your cholesterol medicine! ;-)

Great service, great serving sizes, great food... what more could you want. Came in on a busy day with 10 people. We were accommodated quickly. Food was DELICIOUS. Great stop on a road trip.

They have good food but the service is not always that great. There is always only 1 waitress on shift so it takes a while to get service when they are busy
