This place has the worst service and their food is inconsistent. My husband and I used to order from here quite a bit, but we found that the quality of the food was diminishing as time went by. We made an order tonight in an attempt to salvage any hope we had for their food. The delivery guy arrived with our container of food spilled all over inside the paper bag. We also ordered three sides of rice but only received two. I called them to let them know that our food spilled all over the bag and that they forgot one order of rice. They said they would send somebody right over with a replacement as well as my rice. The delivery guy came again, handed us the bag, and literally ran away. When I opened the bag, there were six containers of rice and no replacement for my entree! I called again and tried to be understanding. I told them I didnt want their six packages of rice, just my entree replacement. They said they would send somebody again right away. A few minutes later I got a phone call stating that their kitchen had closed, and they could not cook or send the replacement order. I then asked for a refund. They refused to credit my credit card back but offered cash back. They wanted me to go back into the store to go pick up my refund. I refused because this was a delivery order. At that point they said there was nothing they could do but give me a store credit. The manager was in the background instructing the gal on the phone of what to say. Not once did that manager attempt to speak to me or apologize for the inconvenience. I then told them that they not only lost my business but they lost tonights sale as well. I disputed the credit card charge and will never do business with them again.

I had heard great things about the food at Fortune Cookies so when we moved to the East side we decided to try it. The food is good, if over priced for the size of the servings. Unfortunately the service was awful. We ordered delivery. They forgot the LETTUCE for the Lettuce Cups. When I called to alert them that the MAIN part of the appetizer was not included they asked if we still wanted them? Since we couldnt eat it without it I advised yes, please deliver. We chalked it up to an honest mistake and let it go. Last night we ordered delivery again. The hostess (Megan or Regina) who took our call seemed like it was quite a chore to take our order. We waited and waited and waited. 40 minutes later we get a phone call from her asking if we were STILL COMING TO PICK UP! I let her know that we were waiting for the DELIVERY! She was quite unapologetic and acted as if it were MY fault that SHE messed up our order. I advised that this was the 2nd time our order had been screwed up and that we wanted the order delivered. She said well there are no drivers so you can come get it if you want it. I have worked as a hostess, server and floor manager at several restaurants I was appalled at her demeanor and attitude. I advised that I will NOT be coming to pick up and I will NOT ever be ordering from Fortune Cookies again.

I recommend this restaurant if you are taking out. Several times I have and have loved it each and every time. Sometimes I am just getting off the freeway and calling for an order. By the time I get there it is either waiting for me or I am waiting just a short time. The taste of everything is balanced, and when it says its hot it doesnt make your mouth water unless you bite into that chili pepper by accident! The sit down restaurant I recommend as well, and for all those here that said they is bad service, well, my family and I have been coming since it opened and it is rare for service to be bad. I dont care where you eat in this city or closer ones, you get bad service when its a busy day. As for politeness, I say its the Chinese servers who need to open up and speak with their customers. Its not that they are impolite, but its their culture that gets in the way of hospitality.

Where do I begin....My wife and I were craving Chinese and we recently received a menu from this place. Parking was a struggle. The only space available was for 15min. Once we entered we were amazed how crowded this place was and how the customers were in and out. When we got seated we noticed that our table had egg rolls and salad waiting for us. We were like, "Holy lo mein!" Two seconds later we got our drinks and they took our order. Our food was out in 3 minutes, and when I took the last bite, my plate was gone and I was asked for my fork. Just kidding, but it felt like it. At the end, we received fortune cookies and my wife did not receive a fortune. Lol. The place was great, and definitely won a gold metal for service Olympics. Next time I will definitely consider parking in the 15 minute space. This was better then a Saturday night live skit.

The food is good BUT the service Suckz! Came in from out of town to give it another try and found that the servers are still the same (looking like their hating life or maybe people in general) not sure. My son was not sure what to order and the impatient waitress basically strongly suggested what he should order so he went along with it. They ended up bringing all our food out except for my sons. They came to our table 3 separate times to tell my son his food was coming, all the way up to the time the rest of us finished eating. They then came again to say it was coming at which point we declined. When the check came I complained about what happened only to discover that they still had never made his meal. If you desire and form of customer service this is definitely not the place dine in.

Party of two. Ordered two dishes from the lunch menu. After seing bigger parties around us that arrived after us get their food first I flagged down the waitor. He went into the kitchen and came back to retake our order since they had lost it. We then just asked if they can box the entrees up. 20 minutes after that our food was ready. They took my debit card for the payment and then left it at the host stand. After 10 minutes of waiting just so they can bring my card and receipts so i can sign them i just got up and had to ask for my card back. Total time spent in there for what turned out to be a take out order: 65 minutes. Employees dont seem to really care about customer service. Will not be coming back, its a shame too because the food was good.

I have eaten here twice so far. Both times, the food has been delicious and came super fast. The service the first time, was a bit lacking though. The waitress never checked back on us. Thats my only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5. The second time, however, the service was excellent. The food came super fast, was hot, and best of all, its not soaked in grease. You can actually taste the flavors of the food, which is hard to find in chinese places these days. The lunch specials are cheap and actually comes with enough food to fill you up. Supposedly the guy who owns the restaurant is a nutritionist, so the cooking and portioning is supposed to be somewhat healthier. Definately a great place to try!
