Max occupancy 109 persons. Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-2pm, Sat-Sun 7am-3pm. No Wi-Fi access. Booths for four, large groups, several 4 person tables, bar seating for singles or multi persons. Clean. Current time is 7:40 am on Monday morning. I heard this place gets fairly packed on the weekends that a line even starts outside with Sunday being the busiest. Fajita omelette with egg white, sourdough toast. Side of banana nut pancake. Fresh lemonade. Sourdough bread was toasted evenly without burning the edges much and the light spread of butter was different than the usual expected from cafes. I dislike toast drenched in butter which is why I usually ask for none, but had forgotten today. Glad it came with a light amount keeping the bread nice and crisp. There is an extra charge for peanut butter as they bring it out in a small bowl of what looks like 1/4 cup. I wouldnt necessarily use all of that by myself, but a group of four would be ideal. Omelette is quite hearty and is definitely a meal on its own. Potatoes are a bit on the oily side, but its marginal and quite acceptable to my taste. The fajita omelette consists of onions, green bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and a choice of chicken or beef. I chose chicken for mine. The chicken is slightly on the dry side, most likely due to the fact that it would have been pre made to prevent cross contamination. The veggies gave this a good balance of moisture. Pancake is pretty good being packed with walnuts and banana then topped with more banana and whip cream. Whip cream is not the greatest, so Id forego that the next time. Fresh lemonade hits the spot and is quite refreshing to have with the meal. Service here is friendly with a smile. The staff seem fairly happy working here. They come by to check on the meal every so often. I see them wiping and clearing tables quickly. As for payment they accept only cash and check with a phone number.

The food was awful my omelette was not fully cooked it was extremely runny. My daughters food was decent she enjoyed the pancake however you cant really screw this up. The fruit that we ordered with our meals it was bad and a cantaloupe had gone bad and was soft and you can absolutely look at the watermelon and see the dark spots. My daughter speaking that came with her meal have a really bad seasoning it kind of taste like they put a chorizo seasoning on a strip of bacon. Who cuts chorizo seasoning or any seasoning on a childs piece of bacon for childrens meal I just dont understand!? Service was OK the server seem to be nice except for when we went to check out. They also seem very annoyed when I asked for a wet cloth says that I could clean up the sticky syrup that was all over the table. The bill was out rages by the time for adults and one child had eight we ended up paying $52 and left her maybe a two dollar and 50 Cent it. Im not sure how this place got so many good reviews I was looking forward to a good meal with my family. Instead I got a stomachache and a empty wallet. I dont think Ill be coming back to this place. I hope this review helps any people who are looking for a good place to eat that either that moved out of the area or just want to try something new. I miss shore house café!

I got a 25 dollar gift certificate to this place as part of a silent auction a while back, so I had to come use it. Given 4.5 stars out of a jillion reviews both here and on yelp, I was definitely expecting mindblowing, which might have colored my judgement a bit. I didnt quite get mindblowing. I did get extremely tasty - I would come back here all the time if it werent on the other side of town, or if there wasnt clearly always going to be a huge wait. But to me, 5 stars means that you *would* snap at the chance to drive across town and wait 40 minutes to eat at the place, which, having just done that last weekend, I would say, not worth doing again. The food was excellent, though. As was the service, once we actually managed to get a table. Food came out pretty quickly (one would expect, with dozens of people waiting outside for their chance), and there was amazingly no confusion at all with our order (two of the exact same dish, but with different sides, each substituting a different type of sausage, and with different vegetables removed.) Only thing I can complain about besides the wait is that their definition of "large" OJ is not actually very large. But its still just a diner. An extremely tasty diner with great service, but its still just a diner.

I fell for the hype. The first mission was finding parking. We drove around for a while and finally found a parking spot in front of someones home, a few blocks away. The street sweeper services that neighborhood on Thursdays and Fridays, so you cant park on certain sides of the surrounding streets, in the mornings... that makes finding parking even harder. The service was slow, but the staff was friendly. The food options are pretty good, and the food is fine, but nothing to write home about. I dont understand why they would want to inconvenience their customers by only accepting cash. I know that they do it to generate income from the ATM that they have inside the place, but it just seems so desperate to me, and I dont see why!? The place is always packed, they cant be hurting that bad to the point where they would have to resort to those cheap tactics. If youre right in front of it, give it a try... but, I wouldnt drive more than 5 minutes to face all the inconvenience found here... the food and service definitely dont make up for it.

We came from North of California. Great place for breakfast! The restaurant looks very clean & when you enter you already feel welcome . The food was amazing and super good & in good quality. They serve everything nice & neat . A very nice lady came to say hello & she was really nice . Im pretty sure she was the owner of the restaurant. It looks like a family business. The waiters were checking in with us to make sure the food was alright & made us feel at home . The price is great too ! Considering I came a long way from North California . If you are looking for a place to eat this is the one ! I highly recommend this restaurant. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because 3 different servers offered me coffee and I asked for decaf coffee and it seemed that all of them forgot to bring it. However, they eventually brought it to me. Average, an excellent place!!

I was visiting some friends here in Long Beach and we were looking for a cool place to eat breakfast. They have many interesting breakfast options here which was a pleasant surprise with the dinner-esque feel. Young average joe/hip crowd and some older folks. The first cup of coffee my friend ordered tasted like coffee flavored water, he said. The new cup of coffee he received was better but nothing special. The Tea section was poor. I did find one Earl Gray though; loose leaf would have of been so great. We all loved the food we ordered. Great omelets and the variety of salsas/hot sauces on the table was very cool. You may feel like everything on the menu is priced just a dollar or so more then it could be. I really liked the place and my friends said they would return. Unique and local, definitely better then a chain/clone restaurant!
