The pancakes were grossly overpriced for their quality. For $8 you can get three mediocre plain pancakes with blueberries on top (no they cant even put the fruit in the pancakes like every other breakfast diner in the country). The syrup they give you is mediocre and almost certainly high fructose corn syrup. IHop and Dennys serve far better food than this joint. The service was mediocre to poor but that may be due to understaffing. I had to twice waive my waitress down just to get more water and the check. I wasnt much of a fan of the atmosphere either. The place gives off an almost retirement community cafeteria vibe although that may be due to the fact that most of the patrons are eligible for social security. It seems as though the restaurant was trying to go for the classic small town diner vibe but failed.

Why Five Stars? * I was politely greeted upon entering and seated within one minute. * My waitress kind and attentive. * The variety selection Good * My meal was properly cooked (Every item) Perfectly done, fresh and piping hot! * The eggs served were large and prepared to perfection. My hash browns were cooked just right and light too. * The Bone less pork chops were perfect as well :) Wow this is the first time in a long time I go to a dinner house and everything was perfect from the service that coffee the meal the selection when cleanliness all 110% I couldnt be happier I have found a new place close by called spires that reminds me of my grandmothers house amen.

The service is exceptional. From the friendly greeting, to quick service, and attention to the needs of my group, this Spires gets top ratings! The food is also excellent. Not sloppy like chains restaurants (Dennys or IHOP), but decent quality with both taste and presentation. I no longer live in L.A. But its a pleasure to drop by this restaurant whenever I fly into LAX. Wish there were more Spires in other cities!

I love dining here with friends. We have become regulars and when one member of our group is missing our server always asks about the missing friend. I have continually received excellent service. Their prices are quite reasonable. Sometimes their food needs additional seasoning as their large elderly clientele shies away from sodium at Spires. Be sure to ask for their homemade green sauce. It is legendary.

I love this place. The owner also owns a spires on carson. Weve been going to both places for 13 years and all the staff is amazing friendly just wonderful people . they are so humble i just love them all. The owner says hi to everyone hus family works their and are all very friendly and courteous girls. I have nothing bad to say about Spires. This is indeed my favorite restaurant.

My cousin and her children live in Lawndale. We hit this restaurant all the time. The same staff is always there. There appears to be no turnover. There is a Hispanic waitress who is wonderful. She helps with Spanish with a Spanish speaking in law. The food is excellent, the prices are fair, and the restaurant is clean.

Used to frequent this place and liked it. Recently it seems that there are more and more panhandlers hovering near the door and they have occasionally become insistent. Cant recommend this location due to that. Other Spires restaurants are fine and score highly. Dont know how to correct this problem though.

Breakfast service was fantastic! The bacon was a good crisp and I didnt even have to order it that way! Plenty of hands on deck, which was nice. I can only imagine what the Saturday morning rush is like- Location? Parking is a little tight. Its a populated shopping certain.
