Dont believe the hype, but its all good. I never heard about the hype but I do enjoy Le Diplomate Cafe. If you dont like it there is no need to get your panties up in a bunch, Im sure you over hype In-N-Out. I rest my case. Chicken, broccoli, and mushroom. Its the three little words I want to hear. With garlic sauce of course. For all the garlic sauce haters this I how I do it. When the lady ask me, do you want garlic sauce? I look at her in the eyes and say YES! Extra garlic sauce. No time for fore play lets just get to it. Step 3 for a bomb sandwich add hot sauce because it will complement the garlic sauce perfectly. You may not get a kiss from your date but by now you are way pass that point. You are ready of mad skills so enjoy. A quick disclaimer. The food is not super gourmet but it does rival most food trucks in value and taste. The bread is toasted almost like a Panini. The sandwich is the real deal. Do you ever by a hot pocket based on the picture only to find out what is inside does live up to par? Well Le diplomate is picture perfect. Open up the sandwich it looks even better on the inside. Dont ever open up a fast food burger you will be disappointed. Parking. Free of course! And plentiful. Its Irvine. Dont laugh some people pay for parking. Location. In the town center across from UCI but not near the street but more in the back to midsection. It is near golden spoon but keep walking toward the Kogi place. I recommend parking near Eureka and walking past Kogi. Its near the bathroom hall way entrance. It might be tricky to find but I hope this helps. I recommend Le Diplomate because I am also excited to eat here when in the area. Its not fancy but does the job at a fair price.

Finally had a chance to try this place out after so many good reviews! This place is located in the University Town Center which is the same plaza where Veggie Grill and Cha for Tea is. There were seatings indoor and outdoor. I like that there are outdoor seatings because you know what that means! I can bring fido with me! =) I tried the yummy Chicken, Mushroom, Brocolli Garlic sandwich! It was definitely good. It was the really soft, warm, crispy baguette and garlic sauce that made it so darn tasty! It felt like it just melted in your mouth! Drool… I also tried the Eggplant sandwich with garlic sauce and that was just as good! When you go there they give you a choice between the two sauce that you can put in your sandwich. That would be either the ranch or garlic. I have to say try the garlic, especially you garlic lovers! Service was great and friendly! I cant wait to go back!

Found this place through Yelp and saw a bunch of my Yelp friends had written how great the restaurant was. I later suggested this place to eat with my friend for lunch. Its not too hard to find inside UTC. Place is a little small to eat in and stuffy but there are plenty of areas to eat and sit outside. I ordered the chicken broccoli mushroom sandwich. It was filling and tasted great. It was very garlic-y :D. I didnt expect it to be so pungent but it did hit the spot. Will come back to try out more sandwiches. Parking is a little tricky just make sure you dont park in employee spots or else youll get a warning ticket like me.

Le Dip and In N out were basically the staples of my college diet when I wasnt eating homemade food, like cheap pasta, Ragu, and hot dogs haha. My go to order was the BCC or Bacon Chicken Club 9". I would eat half right away and save the other half for later, or if I was hungry Id eat the whole thing. My number 2 would have to be the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The Garlic Chicken and Tuna Melt were amazing as well. I would always get extra hot sauce on the side and a big cup of water to go with it. Speaking of which, Im really craving some Le Dip right now!

My bf brought me a sandwich from here. SO I wasnt able to experience the glory of a freshmade sandwich. I got the garlic chicken and mushroom. He recommended that I smother the garlic mayo on top. It was aiiight. I thought the chicken was dry but I really liked the texture of the mushrooms. Eating that much mayo always disturbs me for some reason. However, with sriracha it tasted a lot better. And this is coming from someone who never uses sriracha.. even with pho! I guess Ill give it another try when Im in the area

Le Diplomate is the best food joint inside of UTC (University Town Center). Its not much of the compliment since I dont like any of the places there. Even with every other restaurant in Irvine trying to raise their prices to keep up with high rent Le Deplomate actually kept the price fair and the quality consistent. I used to get their BBQ pork vietnamese style sandwich from here before I found better places. I still enjoy their sandwiches time to time.

A boy who sure knows the keys to my heart* introduced me to Le Diplomate Cafe. Amazing sandwiches at surprisingly great prices. We got two for less than $10. Unheard of in LA! Go with the chicken+mushroom+broccoli oozing with garlic sauce. All the melted goodness sandwiched between a toasted baguette... oh my heavens. Also good with hot sauce (sriracha) if you like it spicy. Chicken+eggplant a good alternative. *garlic makes the world go round

Before all the new eateries moved in, Le Dip was the only reason worth coming to UTC. Every since my first visit here 10 years ago (OMGG. What? 10 years?!), I always get the chicken dijon. I tell myself Im going to try something new on the next visit, but its just too good to pass up. Their sandwiches are simple but are packed with flavor. The garlic sauce is oh sooo delicious! Topped with a little siracha to give it a little kick.

Awesome little place located in university center. Great tasting sandwiches at a very reasonable price. The bread is always fresh and the sandwiches are made to order. My favorites are the Bacon Chicken Club and the Chicken Broccoli Mushroom both with extra garlic sauce. Whatever you get, get it with the garlic sauce and dont forget to grab one of the little cups with Sriracha sauce.

This is the only place from my college years that I regularly frequent. Tip: Try to avoid going during lunch hours when UCI is in session, unless you don’t mind long lines of college students. I try to frequent during the winter, spring, and summer breaks. Service: Always very friendly, and fast. Location: Very campus feeling, at least for me. It is almost like an extension of UCI.

Have this for lunch at least once amonth. I like eating here the food is fresh. Im pretty sure they are using fresh ingredients to prep food. Ive never disappointed in them with the food they gave me. Its a great place close to campus so convenient for students who are at UC irvine.

Ive been coming here since my first year of college. It can get crowded, but the service is usually pretty quick and the food is always great. I always get the chicken broccoli and mushroom sandwich. Im glad that this is one of the few places in the UTC that has stayed in business.
