Kimmies Coffee Cup wasnt bad, but it wasnt amazing either. Id give it more of a 2.5. The servers were friendly and nice, which was good. At first, one of the servers seemed very standoffish, but she was much nicer later on. Food came out in a pretty timely manner. No complaints about the service. The food was mostly bland, but it didnt taste bad. My husband ordered the OC Scrambler, I ordered the Patty Melt with the fruit, and we ordered the Kids Scrambler for our toddler. My food was good, but a little bland and greasy. The burger patty had very little flavor. I had to wipe my hands a lot because of how much grease there was in the grilled bread. The fruit cup was good, despite that the blueberries were drying. Everything still had pretty good flavors to them. Husband liked his food, but he also pointed out that I could make the exact meal for our entire family of five for the same price he got a single serving. I tried it, and it was good, but nothing spectacular. It was also very bland. Our toddlers food was also pretty bland. The scrambled egg was just an unseasoned omelet that had been chopped to appear scrambled. There was also no seasoning on the potatoes, which were slightly burnt. Im totally okay with, and actually enjoy, a little charring on potatoes, but that doesnt work the same with most kids. The lack of seasoning was almost made up for with the incredibly salty bacon slice (I know bacon is salty, but this was more than just normal bacon saltiness). The toast was good, though. Our toddler just ate my fruit and wouldnt eat more than a bite of her own food, except the toast, even though she otherwise eats what we ordered. I probably wouldnt come back here unless I was really hungry and couldnt find anything. They would be a whole lot better with just a little seasoning added to their foods.

Id give one star but at least the short haired brunette girl was kind when she refilled water and the 30-40s year old dirty blonde lady wearing a pink hoodie was nice when she (or anyone FINALLY) took my card to pay. My servers name was apparently Brenda (young blonde) Not my first experience with her but boy is she incredibly inattentive and makes no effort to make eye contact or offer ANY kind of (even) decent customer service. Never smiles. I cannot stand paying for food and service and having such a poor experience. I could listen to her talk about her classes for nursing shes taking and what not only two feet away behind the counter with the other ladies working there, but heaven forbid she come and ask me if I needed anything (or even look my way). I kept waiting for an opportunity to get her attention to get a box to go but I just sat there bewildered. My wife liked it there and I just dont get it. I definitely wont be back. Told my wife about my experience this morning and she also says shes had a couple recent bad experiences and will also not be returning. Brenda doesnt want to be there so please encourage her to find something she likes. FYI Brenda, being a sever is some of the best training you can get to prepare you to be a good nurse. Its all there. Introducing yourself. Asking what there needs are. Returning with needs. Following up if there are any others needs through out your shift. Smiling. Customer service. Multitasking. Trust me. If you hate being a server. Youre going to hate being a nurse. PS, Im a registered nurse. Anyhow, all three of my experiences were the same. Order taken, then neglected for the rest of the experience. Hope you guys huddle and emphasize smiling and following up with your paying customers.

This was my second visit to Kimmies. The first time I visited was on Fathers Day at the newer Cypress location. My favorite location after dining there today, is now the Orange Circle location in Old Town Orange. This location has an older cafe charm about it with a nice little front patio area and a vintage interior with wooden floors. Side brick walls, a pretty mural and decorated ceiling make this location a breakfast delight. There is a walk up breakfast bar and several tables scattered about for inside dining. We dined during the middle of the week, so I can imagine this place is crowded on weekends. Its the holiday season and there were nice table cloths and decorations on the side wall and entrance for some added fun. Today, my wife and I both ordered up the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. I went the extra mile and ordered up a combo that included 2 eggs and sausages. The pancakes were by far some of the best weve ever eaten. The large pancakes were moist, shaped in a swirl pattern like a cinnamon roll with lots of the sweet icing on top. I felt decadent, and threw on the side of butter and syrup. I would definitely have been happy with just the pancakes without the combo. We both ended up asking for a box and brought home enough for another meal! Service at Kimmies was excellent! The servers were attentive with the order and the food arrived quickly. Everything was nice and hot. Coffee is my beverage on cold California mornings and every 3 or 4 sips into my coffee and it was topped back up again. The staff was the best! If you want a great breakfast in Orange, give Kimmies a try. Ill definitely be coming back more often.

Not homey at all. The previous post stated that the staff were high school age. My experience was similar in regards to service. I have notice at the several locations most of the employees were girls who looked like each other possibly a owners preference because like it or not sex sells, it is just the way it is . But anyhow The service was very poor, you have to constantly ask for coffee refills. The very young young ladies hang all over the men especially the firemen, and workers who come back and tip well for the flirty attention these "hungry" men. Years of this behavior must be intentional sorta like a "Hooters" undercover. I am done with the poor service and since they rather cater to mens egos then be honest and advertise a new name "Fluffers".

My boyfriend and Had arrived in California the night before. It was busy. The only young lady that truly cared was the one that escorted us to the breakfast bar. We were rushed to order our breakfast. The other ladies were too busy to refill water, coffee and ask if our food was alright. Breakfast was fine. I believe my eggs were under cooked, but I couldnt get anyones attention to tell them. The hostess again was able to refill our beverages. If you see this place is busy. Dont bother. The brunette is the only valuable person. I believe my boyfriend and I will not return.

I absolutely love the food here, but unfortunately the servers/staff are consistently very rude and uninviting. After receiving such terrible service multiple times, I decided to just order to-go... but I once waited about 30min (after the initial 20min after calling) for my food, only to find out that my order had been sitting in a bag already, on the table, in plain view THE WHOLE TIME I was waiting. The staff just doesnt seem to communicate or help each other. I still love the food, but I try to get in and out as quickly as possible.
