I love dimsum, always have. So when I passed by here when I was next door at 85C, I went inside the togo line and got myself some CharSiuBao (steamed BBQ pork buns) and some ShuMai. Like all dimsum places, they classify the dimsum by A, B, C, D. Typically the cheapest is A and the further down the letters, the more expensive it is. So I was a little surprised when they said the Shumai was a C item. Ive been to many places and the shumai is NEVER a C item since it is typically served to everyone. So when my total came up to $8.60 for both items, I was more than surprised, not in a good way. I dont recall ever paying this much for dimsum but I do have to say the BBQ pork buns was not thick in the breading and the filling didnt taste fattening. It was the best Ive tasted in the last 3 years. The shumai was huge, probably the biggest Ive had in awhile. Was it the best? Not quite. Of course, I have always eaten my dim sum in Monterey Park so I have a lot more choices due to competition. I do have to say, this place passes the taste test, but failed miserably on the wallet test. If you dont want wallet shock, get the steamed buns and pass on the shumai.

Came here on Memorial Day with my extended family, arrived about noon. Waited over 1 hour for a table. Manager promised kitchen open until 3 pm, but when we were seated, kitchen started to run out of food for dim sum at 1 pm. The +1 hour wait was a waste of time as our favorite dim sum dishes "ran out." Only one food cart came to our table during our stay. Same manager "explained" this (pity my ignorance) is how dim sum is; Ive been to hundreds of dim sum and no thats not how it is. They seem to be doing well so they are at a point of not caring about customer service or opinion. They charged all for tea when only one person at table had tea, and charged for a few extra dishes with stamps that we never had. Will never go back. Plenty of other good dim sum in the OC.

Came here at 11 am on a weekday for Dim Sum. This is hands down the best Dim Sum Ive had in Orange County. The dining room is very comfortable with a good amount of space between each table, nicely appointed with tablecloths. The friendly servers dont rush you and will explain in English what each item is. They also will communicate your wish for a particular item to another server who will bring it to you on another cart (as opposed to other places where you have to wait until another cart comes along). Everything was hot, attractive, and tasty.

Capital Seafood Express in Alton Parkway in Irvine. Their dimsum was good and I keep coming back, the only problem is the server and cashier - THEY ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I see that they are always busy, but they rush you even if you are still checking the items you ordered. Several times i left and they forgot to give me sauce or fork. They dont even smile at their customers and they have a terrible customer service. Try for yourself. I tried them several times and they are always rude to their clients.

Came in for two around 11:30 and got a table in 10-15 mins. Pricey but good food. We sat next to the live tank of shrimps and crabs. Funny part was all the shrimps were either upside down or floating. Not so fresh huh?! Lol. I didnt see much of a variety come around. That was disappointing. Bolsa is still the best. So Im rating it low because of the lack of variety and the service was the typical Chinese restaurant service where you spend your time flagging people down for service.

Expensive all around, but the food is great. Dim sum is even on the higher side, but again, the dim sum is delicious. The Filet Mignon Cubes are the best, if you can afford to add it to your list, do it, you wont be disappointing! They also have a to-go "BBQ Express" spot next door, that serves prepared food. Dim sum as well. Still on the high side, but the fast food is pretty good.

Just ok on food. Service is definitely one of the better Chinese restaurant. The waiter actually came over to the table and ask how the meal is going. what a surprise. I would give it three and a half stars but the Google system doesnt have a half star so sorry it ended up being 3. I guess the most important thing for me is the quality of the food that is what restaurants are for.

I love dim sum and we always come early so we dont have to wait but this last trip we got there just after 9 when they open and they sat us but no carts came, not 1. For a good 15 to 20 min. In that time they sat another table, and the cart went to them first! The dishes are a bit pricy compared to other spots but the quality is good!

This place cost more than an average dim sum place. The food here was better than some of the places Ive been. They did mess up with my food order and charged me extra for food I didnt order. I got lucky when I saw them charge me extra so I got the bill fixed. It cost $96 dollars for 4 people and we ordered less than 20 dishes

Great place. Wonderful dim sum. The wait for service was slow at first. But once the server took our orders the timely delivery of the food was efficient and quick and more importantly the dim sum and duck we ordered was divine. wait for the red bean paste at the end of the meal. It is delicious without a doubt.

The food quality decreases dramatically. I ordered a live lobster, and They tricked me with a dead one!! The inside meat of the lobster is cold, while the outside shell is warm. It is obvious that they just warmed a cooked dish for us, which is $80. I am so disappointed, and never go there again.

I just had the worst Dim Sum here ive ever had. The steamed pork buns were mediocre, but the har gow which I just just gotten fresh made, was not only poorly made, but poorly flavored on top of the fact that the shrimp tasted halfway spoiled. I seriously want to throw up.

Came here when I saw that there were many names in the waiting list for BCD Tofu. Great food, here. Ordered the chefs seafood special soup, and it was really good. They even gave egg custard for dessert as service. Definitely will come back if I have the chance.
