the kind of family italian american style restaurant youd hope to see. small and quaint, this place harbors all kinds of light-up advertisements for beer and food indoors. beginning outdoors, youll find a small parking lot with "parking only for....(italian, french, irish, filipino..." signs on every parking space so find your own. two entrances are to be found, one up front which i rarely find anyone go through, and the one from the parking lot in the back through the outdoor patio that is littered with signs, if youve thought of a nice quote, they probably have a sign for it. from the patio you walk straight up to the main restaurant passing through the freezer door, kitchen area, and a small office where youll find a very nice elderly man watching the news on a small 8inch boobtube thats sitting precariously on an old shelf. the restaurant has a vibe, a relaxed outdoor look with the awning overhang towards the middle of the dining room, while the carpet reminds you of an italian grandmas carpet in her living room. big red leather bench seat with high backs wrap most of the booths. this place reminds you of "Cheers" the staff and owner might not know your name but definitely treats you like a friend. as for food, perfect portions. they are proud of the marinara sauce so try it. baked mastaccoli with 1&1(meatball and sausage) was piping hot when it came out but even with burnt tongues we loved it. all in all its the experience that brings me back here, and a fill of pasta.

I have eaten there over the last 20 years but infrequently. We moved and my friend and I came back to eat there again. We had Chicken Marsala which was NOT good. The pasta, beans and bread were good. The chicken was tasteless and the marsala was watery and tasteless. We talked to owner just to let her know incase there had been a change or something wrong that night, she became VERY defensive and said they hadnt had a complaint in 31 years and acted like she didnt really care if we liked it or not.. She was actually rude and walked away. Then on the way out the husband owner asked how it was, and I said actually "not good" ,he, sarcastic too, said THEN DONT COME BACK!"I have never in my life had a business owner or any other worker at a business establishment be so right down rude. Dont they know the "customer is always right", even though many times we know they arent but when you run a business you at least ACT like you care even though you dont. We will for sure never go back and also tell all our friends to stay away! They definitely have no exceptional Italian food as my husbands family is from Italy and owned a restaurant, and he said its very "average" food.

If you are in the mood for Italian, this place has got you covered. The food here is excellent and the restaurant has awesome decorations throughout. The environment reminds me of Buca di Beppo but with a little more personal charm. The staff is very friendly and the management walks the restaurant making sure everyone is happy. My few complaints are that the restaurant is very small inside, so finding a table is a hassle sometimes. They are closed on Sundays, which for some reason is usually always the day I want Italian.

Drove by for years never stopped in, yesterday for lunch my wife and I stopped in menu was kind of pricey, but who cares if the food is good. My wife ordered a meat ball sandwich I ordered the sausage sandwich I was impressed, I could have been eating good Italian food years earlier. I recommend this place. Service is a little different then normal,

The meat sauce is amazing and the decor is funky and fun most of the waiters are also funny if on the cheesy side. But, Genovese is in my opinion kind of overpriced and Ive gotten some bad service there. Its not worth it if you arent already in the area.

The first time I came here, the service was great, food came fast it was an easy five stars, but this last time the staff was rude, our food took forever. I hope that was just one instance and wont repeat itself, but for now they get 3 stars.

Pretty standard Italian. Kitsch setting. Service is good. They charge for extra bread, which is garlic bread, always served fresh and hot. The food was good and reasonably priced. But it wasnt the best Italian Ive had in the area.

Food was classic Italian American, full of tomato sauce, but the two times we went we got pushed aside by regulars who got preferencial treatment. Unless you are a regular, I would skip this place.

This place is great! The food is awesome and it is kid friendly. I have a 15 month old niece that we took there, the owners were giving her toys, and she did not cry, whine or complaint one bit.

Yum. First time here and loved the cozy atmosphere, friendly service and the food was a pleasant surprise to my mouth. Next time will be sitting on the quaint patio.

Food was incredibly average, and i asked if their sausage was exceptional while debating on steak. Sausage is very generic. Our waiter wasnt very friendly either.

Pretty good family style Italian restaurant but the gal who seated us did not know what Chianti wine was and later came by to offer us cheap plastic rings?!&#?@??
